Logs
Stopped by tonight and couldn't find the cache in any of the spots I've found it previously.Replaced cache for the CO.The halves have it!
Had a good look, knowing it hasnt been found for over a year. Seats have bad decay, some slats look recently replaced. Searched amongst rubbish and broken bottles to see any signs of a log. Nothing found
Didnt look hard as had my toddler and baby with me. Bench is not in a great state though.
After finding the cache at the little bridge Te Kainga and I wandered over to this one and made our way up to the gz. After thoroughly searching around and coming up short we decided on a final pass. I sat down to read some logs and Te Kainga found the first cache. Previous logs suggested there were possibly 2 caches here so she continued with her winning method and quickly found the second cache. We signed both logs and returned each to their hiding spots. Tftc
Found 2 containers in the same location, both with logs in them? Out caching with Flowerbean_00 so we signed one log each. Both logs are in good condition. Very clever hide! Lovely day for it!
Found with JoeyGE0. I have now made my own account and am logging the caches I have found to keep my account up to date. This is a real account. I placed the cache back as found, TFTC thanks for putting this one out! It was hard cache but eventually found it.
Next on my list was this sneaky number. I don't know how many times I have visited Tennyson's Rest, but with my successful day yesterday over in the Waiarapa, I thought yes! Today is the day. In the end it was found in the most long term logical place! Duh. Tftc
I tried to find this one when geocaching was new to me but had no luck. It turns out all that was needed was more practice to hone my seeking abilities.
Lovely day to find a geocache. TFTC

Had a look all through the area and couldn't find this one. Suspect it's been moved.
We searched around GZ - nothing. Widened our search - nothing. Looked for objects and unusual things - nothing. PAF to ask for help - couldn't remember much of the location. Lovely spot, but unfortunately no find for us today. Will wait and see if found again before attempting it again.
With Flowerydaze on a caching trip from Kapiti. This was on our list on a very cold and windy day. This was our first trip since lockdown and it was nice to be able to get out once more. Good hide FP awarded. Thanks for the cash GBNZ
This was actually the first real caching outing for Talla64 and I since the most recent Covid lockdown was lifted, and the day was not the best. Very cold and windy. However we made a plan for PN and came up from Kapiti to find some caches. I'm pleased to say it was a quick find by Talla which was a great relief because after a day of caching, the weather had deteriorated considerably. Thanks for the cache, no-one arround today to witness our activities.
Enjoyed an early morning stroll in the park. Has been pouring with rain but fortunately stopped for the moment. Great little hide. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and family... We ditched the family - they wanted to go to the markets and shopping, and we wanted to go caching - an easy solution...
The sun set quickly, and the fading light added to the challenge of finding this hide. When all else was exhausted, we searched the only possibility left... Thanks GBNZ and TFTC.

Had a good look round but couldn’t find it anywhere, will come back if it’s found again!
I don't know when it was replaced but it's definitely there. All pristine and clean so obviously recently.
Used a bit of the hint to extract it. Good one. Lovely peaceful spot.

(# 5211). It dawned a lovely day. Big question. Go to work or do a bit of caching in Palmy. Given I am writing this you can tell which way I went. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Quickly found, no muggles around. Enjoyed the seat to sit and admire the view whilst the log was signed. Cache replaced as found. TFTC
Out on a sunny day to collect some caches, some are puzzle caches that we have solved. Sunny start to the day, set off at the park. Following the fun climbing the tree in the Linklater Pines, we went to do Fred's Walk.
This had us searching for a few mins. It was lucky our fingers ended up in the right place as it could have been a while before finding it. TFTC

I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) This requires me to get 25 badges 5 of which need to be gemstone badges. So each time I now go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
Here in Palmerston North today for two reasons. Reason one get at least one cache for a missing dot on my calendar matrix and secondly retrieve a cache that was rejected by a curator for being to close to another cache, probably a nearby mystery cache final location
Got to ground zero and sat down on a nearby park bench and waited and waited and waited for a mother and her three young kids to pass they would stop every few feet for a short while
Finally, they disappear out of view and it took less than a minute to find the cache
Thanks for the cache

We were in Palmerston North for the weekend and a friend introduced us to this game. The kids love it, Poppa will do as he is told, and I will do most of the logging.
It looks like we missed an event today, however may make it to one tomorrow. Should be fun if we can meet others.
We logged this as "Smurf Fam". I hope that is ok?

This geocacher reported that the logbook is very fragile and falling apart. A replacement would be good.
Having just flown back into Palmerston North from Auckland where I had a very enjoyable long weekend, I met up with @Etherlord Clan to spend the evening, including getting some takeaways for dinner.
So whilst popping over to the shop to order our food, I just couldn't help myself and had to take a quick look at what was nearby. Over the ensuing conversation, I mentioned that I had had a brief look for this one a couple of weeks earlier, but hadn't found the cache. I didn't log it as a proper DNF as it was only the briefest of searches before and I knew I'd make the effort to visit again.
Today was that day. We had some time to mark whilst our food was being cooked, so in spite of the darkness, I had a hunt around and finally located the container thanks in the main to Mr E who ensured that our food wouldn't go cold whilst I was looking for the cache lol! At least it wasn't raining, so managed to sign the log although the logsheet was literally falling apart in my hands. I very carefully folded it all up again and replaced exactly as found.
Thanks for the cache.
