While we love this spot as a location for a cache DazndKy have moved to Australia and are no longer able to care for this cache. As such the logical decision is to put this one to bed. Many thanks to SkipInNZ for removing the container for us and for those of you who have made an attempt at finding Feeding the Ducks.
Happy Hunting!

An easy find.
Found it before the Aussie invasion on the 25th.
Maybe I will be the last one to find it before the cache is retired?

#607, First one for the day with our new to geocaching friends R & N. Kids loved the boats and eels. TFTC
Arrived at the gardens along with the rain but it soon passed so I had a lovely wander through the gardens to this cache. TFTC #2425
Having moved from NZ to Australia earlier this year we are no longer able to care for this cache. As such we wish to inform of the intent to remove and archive this cache on June 25 for those that still wish to find this one.
Many thanks, DazndKy.

GZ full of kids and ducks, but due to cleaver cache location i could leisurely snag it while seated.
On arriving, thought I wouldn't be able to do this oe as there were a couple of kids at GZ. Then we saw that they were pocking sticks into the cacti, and had been pulling the flowers od them. Dad had a stern word with them and they beetled off. TFTC
#862. Had to grab this on the return trip out of the garden as there were too many muggles on the way in. A quick find though, TNLN SL, TFTC.
A great way to start the day, with a walk in the Botanic Gardens. A few muggles about so had to bide our time with this cache. TFTC
Nice spot. Was late at night so no duck feeding. Showed wannaGC her first nano cache TFTC
A quick find, the last of the traditional caches in the Gardens and on my way back to the cafe for lunch. Signed log, TFTC!
after a pleasant lunch. 2nd attempt for this - don't think it was here last time. NINO TFTC
[ At 17:00 NZDT on a very busy afternoon in the Gardens. Last there some 20 years ago and what a transformation. A great place for a visit. Far too busy for much caching so will visit again during the week. An easy find and TFTC ]
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Went for a walk around the Botanical Gardens with Clan McPherson.
When we arrived at GZ another cacher was already signing the log.

Found it with Phasevisitor. First one of the day. Bumped into another family loitering suspiciously in the area too. TFTC

Lots of people around for Sculpture in the Gardens but found a moment to sit and admire the pond. TFTC
Spending the day at the Botanic Gardens. Kids were more interested in looking for eels. Lovely spot for a cache. TFTC
Took Mavis and Snoopy on another adventure to find their first Geocache today and again we didn't find this one.
Lovely spot and the weather was sunny finally!
Will have to come back for another look later.

Out in Auckland South today to do some bush-walks/caching. I had had a look for this one some months ago when the original GZ was missing. Safe to say I did not find it (some other cachers had reported the issue, so I chose not to bother the COs further). Glad to finally make the fine here; Such a lovely spot. Cheers for the cache!
Nice and easy. The dog sat and watched the ducks, providing great camouflage from lurking muggles.
Nope.
Waiting 15 mins for duck feeders to depart.. Then got a chest full of cactus spikes hunting around.. tweezers to get them out. Not sure how I missed it when it seems to be easy from the other logs..

Great location & a nice easy find for Junior Spider-Bite.
He was pretty excited as it was his first nano. TFTC

Loved stroll around park for this one. Waited for muggles to clear and got a chance to suss it out. TFTC
Needed stealth to find, as muggles were about. The great hide allowed us to retreive the cache, without anyone seeing. TFTC
Great location.
Knocked off it's perch by Mr CDM261 and picked up by Mrs CDM261

I was about to start hunting for this cache, when I was distracted by a family of ducks. Along with the mother there was five very cute (and young) ducklings. 20 minutes later I remembered why I was there. Cache was quickly found. TFTC
A beautiful day to be out in the gardens, but we should have remembered our gumboots. TFTC
Gosh these nano's are quite hard to spot but found it where expected. Fotunately the duck feeding muggles were scared off just as I arrived by a shower of rain. Lovely spot by the lake.
Many thanks
Many thanks
It was rather amusing watching the ducks chase each others tails around. Quick easy find with the beautiful bjarni1 and chesterdog, dodging the rain drops:-)TFTC
Wasn't expecting something so tiny, so had to look twice to find it.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Filled in the fresh log while watched by ducks

A new cache of the same type is now in place and so one again it is ready to be found. The cache's location has been moved to a spot in the same general area which arguably has a better view.

A visit to GZ today proved that indeed there has been some re-working of the layout of this particular part of the Botanic Gardens. Unfortunately the only seat which has been removed is the one which was home to this cache. A replacement container will be sourced and the co-ordinates updated in due course. Keep posted.
It was time to visit the Botanical Gardens again. It has been a while since I was last here.
But sadly I couldn't find this cache.
But sadly I couldn't find this cache.
Like Tufty I couldn't find this one. Looks like they've planted some new plants near by and removed a bench that used to be there. Might be worth giving it a check.
Had a few hours spare before getting on the plane and heading home so came to the gardens to find a few.
Glad to have come here earlier than most muggles, didn't have to worry too much about being seen in the exposed Gz whilst searching.
Lots of duck this morning, but nothing to feed them with
Cheers.

Nice day out with dog and kids in tow however this was a particularly busy spot for boat lovers! Had to be especially stealthy!! was fun though.
Quick find with kiwi-anna, a muggle left all of her rubbish on the seat before we got there, we cleaned it up and chucked the rubbish in the bin. TFTC
And again, had to wait a long time for muggle to leave the seat. She kindly left her rubbish behind for us to pick up. Don't see how she could sit there for such a long time, as dead duck close by, smelt terrible! TFTC
Lovely spot for a cache. Found quickly and then was sprung by the cache owner, nice to meet you Daz. TFTC.
Needed some fresh air this afternoon so went for a amble to cactch a few caches TFTC.
In plain sight, and easy to find. The lack of attachment points for this cache make it a little unsuitable.
31-03 4th find of the day at 11:26 and 1280th find in total.
We are amazed by these gardens, they are fantastic!
This part of the gardens are very familiar to us, we used to work in a cacti nursery. Even though it was a hive of activity here today with all the people working on the gardens the cache proved to be a breeze to retrieve and replace.
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks DazndKy for the caching fun!

#1 for the day, on our early morning roadtrip to Taupo... Never visited the gardens before. Thanks for brining us here..
Found this one on a nice morning walk through the gardens before heading off on our Taupo Roadtrip. Cool litle spot
Cool spot. Just enjoying the morning seating by the lake. Should of brought bread for the ducks.
TFTC. This is the 1st nano cache that we have found. Beautiful day for admiring the ducks.
6432 Lots of tiny muggles feeding the ducks, nice spot to enjoy the afternoon sun and surrounds, many thanks.
An awesome day in the gardens, having a picnic with the family. TFTC. Lots of people feeding ducks.
I've no idea how I missed this one the first time, even when this time I was looking in the middle of a rain shower. At least that meant no muggles, other than feathered ones, to interupt my search.
A super easy fine on out quest to find our 600th cache, very hot and quite tricky to retrieve without alerting the muggles
