I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

All paced out with no luck. Found the likely spot the hint referred to but no joy
After half and hour of searching and researching, pacing and re-pacing I have to admit defeat. Perhaps the CO can check?
Had a bit of difficulty getting to this one as there a muggle walking his dog nearby. Soon was able to locate GZ and had cache in hand. TFTC
A quick lunch time find. With the nearby traffic I thought that the park would be much noisier but was not to be, hence a nice little undisturbed spot

Reveurs and I had found 2 of the turtles previously so wanted to find the remaining 2 today. Took a bit of searching, there were a fair number of places that matched the hint. But eventually found by Reveurs pacing it out as per hint and coming to it pretty quickly. TFTC.
Our last cache for the day, nearly called it quits after searching several fallen trees, but soon located this little turtle, sneaky littly guy. Hiding with the turtle was a huge spider, glad it was Tim who found the cache, urgh! TFTTC

I'm happy to archive this cache and make it a new cache in the new spot. I Checked the co ords when I place it there and could not find any caches to close. Is it my archey frog that it is to close to and how far would I have to move it to make it ok ?

Hi Geomatt123,
Unfortunately moving this cache has placed it too near another existing cache. I'm disabling this for the moment until you can re-locate it again. Given the distance it was moved (approx 80 meters), I would suggest this is now quite a different hide, so the current listing needs to be archived and a new cache published at the new location.

Ha ha the GPS had me try and take a left hand turn off road from the motorway! At least I have more common sense that the GPS! Finally worked out to access this off rooks road, so once parked it didn't take long to head towards GZ. Here I was minding my own business scurrying around in the bush when a small dog seeks me out. Yep you guessed it, in come the owners trying to retrieve the dog! Now one thing I've noticed thats different from caching up north, as the muggles just don't care or want to know what you are up to hiding out in the bush - they just make a real hasty retreat!!!!
The published cache co ords are out so I loaded the other cachers noted ones and bingo, a very quick find. Turtle has lost has contents but I've added a new log that's double bagged and added a few rocks on top so it doesnt blow away. It should be ok for a little bit but will need a new container to protect it better from the elements. TFTC

Yes as per last finder. Found the turtle, and as previously stated log book and all other items missing. Such a shame.
Well, we found a turtle. We fear the other items that should have been with it have gone missing. TFTC. Lyle family.
I searched the area stated, but couldn't locate the cache so read the logs and inputted the coords stated by WestHuge. Walked towards this and spotted the cache on route. I made the coordinates S 36° 45.205 E 174° 42.784 and it only took me about 10 minutes.

It took 5 of us 90 minutes to get this one. Found it at S36 45.202 in the end. Never give up!!!
Found after a wee search while out getting a few caches with my daughter this morning.

Running late to be able to do this one on way to work - probably a good thing or I would have been late again. Took awhile for GPS'r to settle and then to locate clue, all good fun. Lost another pen, that's 2 this week, managed to stratch in name with a muddy stick. TFTC
Having found the frog caches earlier in the day I knew what to look for with these ones. No problems with the find once my GPS settled down. Really slippery in the bush today after all the recent rains. Nearly fell a few times looking for this one. TFTC
BaldEd and waited for the shower to finish before venturing out to locate this one. The GPS had us going for a while but we soon located it.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Nice modern exercise walkway nearby but nobody using the apparatus today - probably due to the inclement weather. Both Tufty's and my gps's had trouble homing onto GZ under the wet foliage. Eventually, when mine seemed to stabilise at 2m I found the cache at my feet. Loved the little turtle. Thanks for the cache.
{ At 10:45 NZST, A nice easy find but the log wasn't quite what we anticipated. Still I suppose in retrospect 'a log is a log is a log is a log'. Have now completed the series although NOT in the correct order. Thanks, it has been interesting...... TFTC ]
2.50pm. Nice day for a stroll outdoors before going to mind the grandchildren. Slithered into the bush and searched for a while before finding the correct hint mentioned object - off about 5m from GZ according to our gps on the day but it was acting a bit erratic under the bush cover. Admired all the fungi around in the process. Enjoyed it all.

#988 After a wonderful day out and about, this was the last turtle to be gathered up. Great fun, enjoyed whether its frogs, turtles, snakes... whatever next... Thanks for the fun. SL. TFTC.
Found thanks to Brett, gps froze at 15m, nice hide, check out the tunnel with the artwork further down the path
6598 Having rekindled our interest in herpetology looking for rare frogs... we thought we better track down the missing turtles too. Leonardo was the first one we found and logged, spotted Professor Glyn studying their habitat intently, TFTC.
Didn't take us too long to find and we loved the cammo! First time we'd been in this reserve.

Got it in the end, search area a bit out! Really hot day, glad the turtle is sheltering. Nice theme. TFTC
Found a nice close parking area for this one and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Almost rounded up the Bale, Nest, Turn or Dole of turtles.
Quick find, co-ords spot on.

Big group of finders waiting at this one, hilarious. Missed the publication by 20 minutes. Nice cache. TFTC!!!
Had ourselves a little geocaching party with the ten or so other cachers chasing this one Nice to meet some of you...We dropped our dinners and bolted for this one as it's the first to pop up nearby at a time we were free to hunt Easy find even without our GPS as there was practically an arrow of cachers pointing to GZ TFTC dropped off a $1......also...we weren't FTF but we beat FMZ (who's been nabbing everything lately hahaha it's ON )
Furbies and I rushed off for a FTF as we were just across the road at hockey when the notification came through. Clearly we weren't quite as quick as the rest of the local geocachers but turned out to be quite a cool little impromptu event on the footpath. TFTC

#467: 3 minutes after the publishing, I had both GPSRs loaded and out the door I went. I parked at a nearby petrol station and noticed someone moving briskly towards the GZ which was 260 metres away. I started moving faster as well thinking this might be a cacher...then he picked up his pace to a trot along the footpath, which prompted me to sprint my stubby little legs across an overgrown field. As I arrived near the point of intersection of field and footpath 200 metres later I met FriwiNZ. We approached the GZ together and began the search. 5 minutes later Kai Gotti and Rosmar arrived, then I found it and we all shared an FTF.
Seconds later the cavalry arrived: Furbies, Merlins Beard, and eventually FMZ strolled in as well.
There had to be at least 10 of us milling around the GZ in the largest FTF party I have ever witnessed in my rather brief 'career' as a geocacher. What a cool little gathering., Hope to see more like this in the future.

Had just finished dinner when this publication came through. Headed towards GZ and found a park in the nearby petrol station but only after witnessing several cachers walking briskly towards GZ. Followed these cachers towards GZ and after a quick search Gyro27 put his hands on the well themed cache. Joint FTF with Gyro27, FriwiNZ & Kai-Gotti. . Had an enjoyable chat with the FTFers and soon we were joined by a large gathering of other Geocachers. Keep this up and we will soon be able to hold our own mega event
Just checking my email when this publication came through. OK, it is not far from my place, I give it a go. Parked the car at the nearby petrol station, I was on my way towards GZ when Rosmar arrived. Together we went to GZ, FriwiNZ and Gyro27 already searching - not a FTF for me, but I claim a TTF [:o)].
Short after Furbies, Merlins Beard, FMZ and..... arrived. Geocaching party!

Great fun to meet so many geocachers . I arrived at the petrol station carpark seconds after Gyro27 and made a dash toward GZ only to meet up with him quickly after. We started talking and overshot the cache location Kai Gotti and Rosmar then joined us on the hunt and Gyro27 found the grail. We were soon after joined by many other cachers. Thanks Gyro27 for accepting a joint FTF TNLNSL TFTC
Well this turned to be a little geocahce event.. When Loz47 and I turned up, We came across Kai_Goti, Gyro27, Rosmar and FriwiNZ, soon came Merlins_Beard and FNZ. and we started the good old FTF story session.
