I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi NZbroThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, as there have been a number of finds logged without locating the container, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
This cache hasn't actually been found for 3 years... As the C O.doesnt seem to be caching or maintaining, may I suggest it be Archived .Thanks....Was a very cool puzzle though!
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Loging in same vain as previous commentors- found the area and I suspect it's long gone. Had a good search and found the same areas as in spoiler photos but no cache to spot. Likely to be archived if maintenance not done.
#10,598. This puzzle was solved a few months ago. It was a fun puzzle identifying the flags and then gathering the necessary information to solve the puzzle. Today I parked at a deserted road end and walked down a path that was equally deserted but had recently been weed-eated. Reached a feature mentioned in the hints and past logs and saw what is now a large fallen tree rather than a standing tree. But anyway I scrambled all over the relevant areas, searching at ground level, the crevices and forks and anywhere that seemed plausible for a cache to be hidden. Read past logs and saw its been some time since the last find and even that was a replacement. I decided to follow the lead of pazza2 and free this one from my GPS list. The cache might still be there but the extent of decay on this trunk suggests you might need to dig and sift through rotting wood and a heap of sawdust to find it. I am happy I was in the right spot. Sadly unless a local replaces the container once more I think its going to be archived. Thanks snakelion for the fun puzzle.
Well, it was an enjoyable puzzle to solve during our last lockdown (hopefully????) and a very enjoyable evening walk. After quite some time we found the exact spot that spoiler photos show but no cache. I hope it is ok by the c.o to claim a find, and I will happily go back to put a new cache here if requested. Posting photo of gz area like previous spoiler photos show…. Tftpc
Solved this one during lockdown, gave me a bit of trouble on one country, but I finally got there. I finally decided to grab it today.
Wasn’t a super easy area to search in, lots of trees, lots of mud.
The previous logs and photo helped.
Just a little hint, you’ll need to be up a bit to find the container. No need to go past the fence if you are coming from West Side Rowing Club / North West.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache!

Solved this last week. Gave us a little trouble at first but Scottie soon got us on the correct path and it was plain sailing after that. Parked at the south end of the trail only to find that the path is closed due to a slip. Gate was unlocked and this proved to be to much of an invitation for us so we carried on. Once at gz we set about trying to find the hide aware of the possibility of 2 containers. Took a while but eventually we found the small white film cannister. Log soaked. We have replaced with all weather paper. Spent a few more minutes trying to find the original but no luck. Daily cache sorted. TFTPuzzle
Solved this one quite a while ago and have had a go at finding it once before only to end up with a DNF as it seemed to be missing at the time.
Was my first stop today and made my way up the track which was not as wet as last time we were here. Set about searching the area with the new clue provided for the replacement cache with initially no luck in the places where it would seem to be. Set about looking in a different area and then spotted a container that appeared to be the cache - but this one was black not white which the replacement was said to be. Opened it up and sure enough it was the original one - so not missing after all.
Had a quick check to see if I could find the replacement but no luck - seems like there are 2 caches here now. TFTC.

With family... Visiting Auckland over the weekend for a mini break...
It’s hard trying to geocache with people that don’t share your passion... I could go berserk chasing down numbers today, but I feel guilty that I am intruding in the activity of others. I am resigned to picking up the odd few in passing...
Another puzzle solved ages ago. We arrived to find a rough ground zone... The cache could be anywhere! Luckily, we had the sense to read the logs and discovered a replacement had been dropped here. A quick fumble and we had it in hand... TFTP and TFTC.

Solved this one not long after beginning geocaching, as I do love a bit of fun with flags. Got stuck probably on the same one as others if I recall but shook myself loose and got the right answer. Quite an enjoyable puzzle thanks.
Last time we came for this one it was quite wet and got a bit soaked looking for the cache. Even with the dry weather (maybe lately not so much) it was pretty damp and clearly the council have done no maintenance at all through here so it was a bit of a walk with the dog through the long grass.
Got to GZ like last time with the difference being gorby's note about where the cache was which helped immensely and was a quick find with no problems. Log is a little damp, but no problems writing our name on the log and we replaced as found.
Glad to have this one signed off, thanks for the fun puzzle.

I had been looking at this one a while ago but not getting it. Last weekend, my Geo-Brain finally clicked and I got what I thought would be great co-ords but Geochecker disagreed. Eventually took the PAF option and corrected one number and WooHoo!! got the green tick. Came for a walk down here this morning to find the track still blocked (and then it wasn't )so off to the GZ I went. It's a real mess there now but following Gorbys instructions, the cache was quickly in hand. Replaced it with a little natural cover. TFTC and the interesting puzzle.
Whew, I spent far too much time on this puzzle than I should have. It should have been easier than what I was doing. I just couldn't get the geochecker to work! Then I put out a PAF to one person who didn't have the solved co-ords, then an e-mail was made to a previous finder who proved to be of no help what-so-ever then another call was made to another solver who sent me the proper link page and the rest was history! Today was chosen to come and pick up the final. Things didn't look on the cache page with the DNF's, so I took along a spare cache with new paper just in case. The mud was insane! Gumboots only here people, I felt I was heading into a jungle not some suburbian track, I spent ages trying to find the cache, so again I used the PAF option from the last finder and then I knew the cache had gone missing. Replaced with a white film canister, high up on the roots, it's hiding in some deep cover to keep it dry. Thanks for the brain workout.
Solved this one quite a while ago but first chance today to find it. No luck with this one after an extensive search. Conferred with a previous finder and confirmed we were in the right place.
Solved this puzzle ages ago. Knew what I had to do, but one of the answers gave me a little trouble until I had the 'Duh' moment. Was out with a previous finder and we were returning from getting ice-cream in Avondale when we decided to stop by here. The area was a lot more over-grown than when the previous finder was here, and there are fallen trees covering the track. However, we still made it to GZ, which is accessible from one side of the track only. I don't think I would have located the cache without the previous finder nudging me in the correct direction. The hint is slightly misleading as the cache would actually be located some distance up the trunk and not at the base should the tree still be standing. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
Since I was already on this path, I just went a little bit further to see if I could find this puzzle that I solved earlier. No luck finding the container in the usual places, and since it was so muddy and wet, I decided not to get into a more extensive search. DNF.
Got the green smiley from the geochecker this morning and were out this way today so came to gz. The track is closed right on GZ but searching wasn't a problem, but it was VERY muddy here. Had the 5 & 7 year olds with us too and we stayed searching here for over 30 mins with no luck. Frustrating solving the puzzle and finding the location but not the cache. Did a PAF but said F was busy so we had to call it a day. Kids were completely muddy as they had fallen over several times and I was getting fed up bush bashing and going under and over and slipping and sliding. We'll be back, maybe in the summer and hopefully with a hint of where it is as the given hint isn't that helpful since this is a micro and there is a lot of hint places in this small area. TFTH though
Finally we managed to solve the puzzle with a little help from a friend. Drove down and almost started from the wrong end. Drove to the other end of the track and discovered that the track was closed for repairs due to a big slip. So the first end was the right end. Got to GZ and spent some time hunting. Almost ended up having to PAF when halfway through dialing one of us spotted the cache.
We'd been here before about 3 years ago, so today was the day to grab a couple of puzzles over this way. Arrived to find the track still closed, the tree had come down when we were here last. Luckily there was a gap around a tree to pass the fence. It was obvious where the slip had been and they've tried to do some planting to stablise the hillside. Another fence on the otherside by the cache so we set about searching on both sides of the fence. Nearly did a FAF for a hint, but after about 10 minutes we found it, phew, thanks for the puzzle
Loved this awesome puzzle, great fun to do. Went to GZ on a rather wet Auckland Autumn day, shoes promptly filled with water. This was cache three on a quick run while geowife went shopping at a nearby market so I didn't have as much time as I'd like to look and the geodog was getting annoyed by the wet feet - he's more of a dry racetrack type.
Got confused by the hint, like the previous finder if anyone wants to give me a nudge to the right spot I'd take it!

I got a nudge from a previous finder, so I returned today and made the find. After three visits, I am finally free, Free, FREE!!!!! TFTC.
I'm still trying to figure out if the hint applies to before or to after the tree fell. I guess a need a kind cacher to give me a hint or two.
I had solved this awhile ago and had a dnf at the beginning of the year. I was out with urbangypsynz today so came back for another look. I had spent quite a bit of time searching here before so knew where it wasn't, and thankfully I made the find reasonably quickly this time. Finally a smiley face on my map here!
Solved the puzzle and headed off with merlot to find this one. Had not been before but merlot assured me access was safe. I was just looking at a place to go and look when I heard of for f#@-% sake coming from merlot, I think something was lost in translation because it did not sound like found it to me but that is what she meant. Phew did not really want to go to that other possible hiding place. Great puzzle.
Vistra and I had a couple of hours, so went out and grabbed a few local ones had had been popping up recently.
Had tried this one previously, had a hint at a recent event and had to come back and try it. Got to GZ and bingo there it was exactly where I was looking previously. TFTC

I joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 this afternoon to pick up a few local caches. Having DNF'ed this one a couple of months ago, another cacher gave us a hint of where to look - we returned today and found it straight away!! TFTC!
Solved this a couple of days ago and had a first go at it, but gave up as the rain was about to start and all around GZ was soaked. Returned today with reinforcements and, after a better hunt, we found it tucked away very near where I was the other day. Interesting search to arrive at the solution. Tftc.
Warwick had been working on this last week with great success , and we went out today to look for the cache ....
Awesome place for the hide !
Thanks for a mystery that wasn't too hard !

Solved this puzzle a couple of days ago and went out this morning to have a look for the cache. The route to GZ was fenced off, but still easy to get to. Spent quite some time looking for the cache in heavy rain, but just couldn't find it there! Sounds like a tricky hide anyway, so it probably just eluded us.
Solved this this morning when Vistra said he wanted to grab it as part of the roadtrip, it was raining when we set off to site, rounded the fenced out area, and had to bush bash due to the flooded paths, got to site and searched the area, we were unsuccessful and whilst looking the heavens really opened, by the time we got back to the car we were saturated. Have to come back another time.
Out with 10 centnz clearing a few puzzles this one caused a few problems at gz nearly gave up but one last look and 10cent had eyes on prize ..tftc Lokky 1 2 March 2015 14:44
solved this a while ago and added it to my list. finally teamed up with Lokky1 to grab the list. the GZ seemed a bit of a mess and at first we were not sure if we would find it. he searched for a little while and almost gave up but one last look around where I would have hidden if soon found it.
TFTC and puzzle.

This one wasn't to be. I solved the puzzle a little while ago, it took me quite a few tries to get the green tick as I had made one silly mistake on one that I didn't think I'd made a mistake on! Finally I got the tick to say I had the right co-ords and I had the opportunity today to go looking.
Mmmm, GZ is a mess! I had a broad search but my GPS kept taking me back to one particular spot, but sadly trying to find a micro there was beyond me today.

Its been awhile since its was last found (14 months) and today was my day to find the cache! Its dry and secure.
The GZ is not new (found out today after talking to a local before I searched - if you have visited you will know what I mean, its been like this for 4 years at least, and no problems reaching GZ!) so with that in mind, this time I searched only a few minutes, believing the cache had to be there, and not long after it was found.
The puzzle solve has probably taken me around the same length of time since the last visit! I kept looking at it on and off, trying so find a clue that would lead to some co-ordinates. Tried various things, until... ... and success from the geochecker. Lovely area for a hide, thanks for the puzzle.

Solved this one a while back and finally in the area to grab this. Sadly not to be today
There has been a lot of work in the area, will email CO to explain as to not give away the location

Solved a while back, and found with Mike-miss this morning on the way north to tackle the puppy power trail. Nice area.
Our first stop this morning with stretch.kerr on our way to Riverhead to complete the Puppy Powertrail. I had solved this one ages ago and nice to remove this one out of the solved puzzle book. It took a few minutes to locate this well hidden cache in an interesting area. TFTPC snakelion!
I decided that I should get out and clear up some puzzles that I had solved and this was my first stop. I had solved the puzzle a while ago without too much difficulty. I had to revise my approach halfway through, but I didn't have any problems otherwise. It was a nice evening to go out with the nearly full moon shining. When I arrived at GZ I knew exactly where to search for the cache. Nice puzzle and a good hiding spot for the cache. TFTC!
I couldn't get Geochecker to work for me - increased the red crosses by a decade or more. Talked with another cacher who said my coords were close so headed off to my GZ. Using a bit of my caching skills I found the cache tucked away in its hidey hole.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Out tonight caching in the dark. Thought I would collect some solved puzzle caches. No problem with the puzzle. I was quickly onto how to solve it and everything fell into place nicely. A bit of a mud on the way to GZ, but that didn't stop me from making a quick find. Cheers for the neat little puzzle and the cache!
4255 A fun puzzle to solve, we made a point to collect this cache whilst in the area. Thank you Snakelion for allowing us to log this. Sorry to see Geocaching lose a good cacher and a nice guy! Stay in touch if you can.
Puzzle solved a while ago, but despite living resonably close this was the first time in the area. Took a while to find as I wasn't expecting a micro in such an area, only after I checked the description did it click.

Cracked the code nice and early on but hadn't been able to venture out this way until now. Took the long way in and made the most of the peace and quiet and hot hot sun. Nicely hidden when I got there. TFTC&P
6368 Yay!!! Free at last... almost caught up with our backlog of cache logs... giving us more time to solve more puzzles... many thanks snakelion for a cool puzzle idea, and a nice spot for the hide. TFTC
Another great puzzle and well presented cache page - look forward to grabbing the cache when we next get up to Jaffaland! Thanks Snakelion
We were not in the vicinity of home when this one popped up, but quickly solved on the way to the parking coordinates. Solution looked good so we didn't bother with geochecker. Nice one! FTF TFTC!!!
Bit slow off the block tonight. Got a solution, and headed for GZ without stopping for a geocheck. Not surprised to see FMZ's online log pop up as we parked the car. Walked to GZ in the fading light hoping for a 2nd to find. Signed the second spot in the logbook at 8.50pm. Thanks for an interesting puzzle added to our found list.
