A nice quick find at GZ and although there were two carloads of muggles nearby we didn't have to worry too much. Logging with CO permission and we have picked up the container to return to the owner. TFTC willbuild.
I stopped by early on a Sunday, so it was even quieter than normal. I was ready to go in, but then saw the cache. TFTC.
Another Geocaching mission with Cats&Dragons, the goal for the day was to focus on the caches around the Waihi/Bowentown/Anthenree area including the cache across the bar on Matakana Island, and while we had the kayak with us a visit to a lonely beach was on the cards as well. The day was hugely successful and a lot of fun, so a big thanks to the CO's for all the placements.
The last in the area, before we headed down towards Tuaranga. A quick find as we went past.

Gave the gardeners next door a wave and made a quick find. Drove the car to within a meter of the cache to shield me. Thanks.
We stopped at the gate on the way into Athenree but weren't too sure on opening. So, we headed off to do other caches in the area before realising we could just open the gate and drive on in. We parked right alongside GZ and made a nice quick find, TFTC!
MRS tryfyn was a little worried by the cows but I'm a country boy so I just shooed them. TFTC. Chasing 400.#396.
Found it!
Just lying in the paddock.
Replaced it in a slightly more geocache position.
Nice place for an evening stroll.

Spotted it directly as it was very exposed. A bit wet inside, but log is dry in it's bag.

Was not sure what to expect on this cache, especially with the gate to the rest area. Had the Ah ha moment soon after. An nice quick find thanks, fav for the fun.
Spending a couple of nights in Waihi Beach, doing some good walks and getting a few caches along the way.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Nice view from a restful place very quite today thanks willbuild for another great cache
Spotted this cache a while ago but was travelling in the motor home which isn't quite so discrete. Back in car this time. This spot has panoramic views. Thanks for the cache Wiillbuild
#11525. Cemeteries are usually signposted, but this one wasn't. I wouldn't ventured in here without some reassurance from a cache placement. TFTC.
After a full-on and tiring day yesterday, when we biked from Waihi to Paeroa, we had a cruisy morning and after lunch headed out to Athenree and Waihi Beach to have a look around. Unfortunately, the sun was shining so it was warmer than we would have liked so we appreciated cache finds in the shade!
There was no sign here to say what was behind the gate, maybe the locals want to keep it their secret? A quick find. TFTC.

Had a awesome day out caching with Philip.Perry today hitting Athenree and the Karangahake, Got a bit burned but found some awesome places and added to the numbers. Thank you to all of the cache owners
First stop of the day and was just a quick one apart from chatting to some muggles there.

Greetings from Wellington. Found while visiting mother in-law. Was a short walk from where we were staying. Straight forward find in a lovely area. TFTC.
Third find today on my way to the Bowentown secret cycleway. A little detour to grab a couple in Athenree first.
A bit of work being down by some farmers but I timed my retrieval well. Gps led me to the wrong spot first but after a quick restart I found cache quickly in the correct spot.
Left a swappable and signed log.

This had us confused for a while, until we saw where the cache was. A really long rest area. Cache was in the open so not sure if this was the intended hiding place.
I hope someone is not trying to tell me something. This is the second final resting place
we have been near today. lol TFTC

The area looks like its had a makeover with more works to come. I doubt I found this cache in it's original placement but I've found it none the less - another smiley for me, cheers willbuild for another clever cache camo.
Nice Riddle!

Our last cache for the day as we near our cosy cabin and the lure of a hot swim. We looked in the obvious (to us) place with no luck, then glanced into the paddock and saw it out in the open, close enough to hook out. We replaced it where we expect it may have been, but perhaps you should check. We'd love to know what you use to camo these containers as it is really effective.
What a lovely spot to have a long rest. A quick find and picked up TB which hasn't been logged for this cache
Today was a day to pick up the caches south of Athenree.
Another nice restful space.
Cheers for the cache.

This is much too good a day to be home doing chores, so loaded up the bikes and headed off to ride the Secret Cycleway.
But we got side tracked. Could not resist a few on the side.
Thanks willbuild

A quick walk to a quick find. The residents were not watching us so it was a snatch and grab.
#373 - Nice Easy start to our caching mission today, I've introduced a friend to caching, who spotted this one just lying on the grass in the paddock. Wasn't sure where it was meant to live, so we signed and placed back is safe spot, you may want to check on this one. TFTC
Thanks for the clear instructions on getting in here.

Nice to find, after a DNF. Trees in the corner have been cleared away now. Very peaceful here and a time to reflect and appreciate the life we have.
Nice container! This was our second attempt at this one. Easily found by junior. I love the concrete sculpted headstone. Tftc
Cache sitting in position but cover has been cut down. Signed log and placed it by corner post under the horizontal post. 37.26.797 175.57.262. Needs new permanent place of rest

Too many muggles around visiting the long term residents, so gave it a miss today.
Disappointing as 1st cache visited today. Tree down at GZ and lots of turf/soil dumped around area. Will be interesting to see if someone else has a find.
We spent a full day of caching from Tauranga to Paeroa. Travelling along beautful sea front, forestry & the green countryside.
We found a great selection of caches.
Thanks for placing this cache willbuild

Unfortunately my GPS kept sending me to place where I shouldn't go according to the instructions, so I had a good look around, but was still 10m away from the supposed GZ. Might come back some other day and try again, because I most certainly didn't want to disturb the long term residents. TFTC
Found this on my birthday bike ride ...!
We had to bide our time as there was a family paying their respects ....didn't feel right to be caching there .
When they had left it was a quick find for us ....shame is was by a holly tree !

It took a little while before we recognised the listing. And after it we looked at the wrong side of the fence. But at least we get it. A lovely and peaceful place with a nice view. Thank you for bringing us here.
Felt a little intrusive at this resting spot, but found the cache away from its long term residents.
fun getting to GZ -but Team Welsh assured me that her 4WD could manage rolling terrain. t4tc
Love having a 4x4 as it copes with most things. Reassured Pagenz that it wasn't a problem and made sure to hit a few potholes as a bonus. Nice little place and the cache was nice and dry and well away from disturbing anyone. TFTC
Had the place to myself this morning. People have gone to a lot of trouble to decorate the graves of their loved ones.
Many thanks
