4 DNF and has not been found in over a year.....needs a CO check please

It seems that this one is gone. Will not be able to maintain in future as we are moving out of the area.

Couldn't find it. Green is a fucking horrible hint. Everything is green.

Someone has driven through the Agapanthus and taken out the gate!! I had a look in the most likely spots but didn't try too hard checking the smashed plants for a smashed container. On to the next one.

We were after a quick cache today, and did note the previous DNF but were hopeful we could make the find. Unfortunately we were not successful. We spoke to a previous finder once we returned home and they confirmed we were at least looking in the right place so we are not sure whether we just missed it, or in fact it is no longer there. We did have a bit of a look, and left as someone drove out the gliding club driveway, and also there was a local family going for a walk/run down the road so we headed off to find another cache.

No luck here today for us.

Last one on our list for the day, but that doesn't mean it's the last one we might do. Mr S found this one using much stealth as someone was in the paddock playing horses just over the fence. She was more interested in doing what ever she was doing so she didn't notice us. We had to keep very quiet tho.

11.50am - On a road trip to pick up a few necessary and maybe some bonus caches with the Squirrel. SLTFTC

A Dot Day... The mission for today: find mid-level D Rated caches. Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I are heading to South Auckland. Everything in between is fair game... Our main targets are Marmis' Challenge Caches (the ones we've qualified for). However, as we were driving through the countryside, we discovered others where we also met the target...

There were a few cars parked up, but all was quiet at the Gliding Club. The cache was found quickly and appears to have regular visits of the cacher variety. I left a couple of TBs (jandals) to remind visitors to 'keep both feet on the ground'. TFTC.

Found Log was a tad damp but not too bad.

We have only a couple of days left in Auckland so headed down Drury way to find a few challenge caches.
This was a bonus cache we found on our drive along the quiet countryside.

Very quick find as Mr P and made our way out of Auckland for the long weekend.

Best on a day that the gliders are not operating. or you will require super ninja stealth.

First one with Georgia and Charlotte. Forgot a pen as the pen in the box did not go. Also a nice couple said to come up to the glider club as there is a play park and a place for tea/coffee. Will go in next time.

Found on day 3 of my visit to the North Island as a part of the upcoming NZ mega event weekend, and as I pulled up next to GZ...there were indeed some people off in the distance about to go gliding. Cache was quickly nabbed and I was on my way.

Looking for a few local caches to find on a Sunday afternoon and realised I had found this one sometime ago but must have not recorded it (around 8.08.13 I think). TFTC.

Shortened the working week by half a day, pretty much so I could get a few hours to grab some caches on the way up to Auckland.

Another plant I don't have many feelings for, thought I'd be looking for a while but was rewarded with a find pretty quickly. TFTC.

Quick find. Dropped off a travel bug that's been following in my footsteps for quite a while.

Found part of what must of been the old green cache and then found the right one that isn't green, TFTC.

Found it early evening just as a glider came in..picked up the TBs and geocoin as all been sitting for a bit. Will keep them moving.TFTC

Took a wee while but i did eventually spot it.TFTC.

Found it but there were no TBs or GCs. Container also needs replacing unless I have found one of the missing caches?

Our first geocache! We're sure the guy launching the gliders knew what was going on. We thought we were being discrete. He just waved out at us! Put it back where we found it. Thanks guys.

The gliders were setting up at the southern end of the strip not far from the cache. Not a particularly good day for gliding but I suspose they have to take what they can get at this time of year.

Was a little disappointed that noone was gliding, it would have been cool to have a look. Found the cache without too much trouble.

A quick find just before we saw a Mosquito in a hanger getting restored
For some reason this wasn't on my downloaded pocket query but Flipper had it in her must do cache

"No gliders today" we were told by the nearby mosquito restorer . The gates were open when we arrived, but we didnt't drive in. We were on our way to view the mosquito and Mr. Flipper could no longer contain his excitement. It would have been cool to see a glider drift past, but that's ok. Some other time, maybe. thanks for the cache!

Thanks to Marchwood for putting a DNF on this cache, as I did a check today and it is gone (as far as I can see)....It is NOT the intention to walk into the green area.....So I have replaced the cache.

Not everybody books a DNF...So you see how important it is to mention this as it will encourage us cache owners to check the cache and make it possible to get it back and running again for the next cacher.

Took me a while to find. Just noticed a little bit of colour where the camo had come off and bingo. No signs of activity at the club today. TNLN SL TFTC

Watched 2 gliders being towed up much to the delight of Seth and Sara, picked up travel bug to move on. TFTC

A day off so ignored the long list of chores to explore challenge central instead. Lovely drive around some back roads I'd never been to before. Dropped off TB. TFTC

It was time to go south and pick up the odd challenge cache or three.

I know.. this isn't one but hey, I was in the neighbourhood and I didn't find it earlier in the year so it had to be done. Well, that's my story anyway.

On the way to Bombay today with the Future Finder. Decided to take the scenic route and get off the motorway at Drury. Caches are much easier to find when they are actually there. Anyway, we spent a little time watching the gliders from near GZ, when a club member drove up and suggested we go have a closer look at proceedings. Well, it'd be rude not do. While watching things closer up this time, another club member asked if we were just watching or wanted to have a go...well I politely declined the potential offer, much to the FFs disappointment. But it just goes to show how remarkable Kiwi hospitality can be!

Winds were quite high in Auckland today so no-one was venturing out in a glider. Interesting place to stop and no problems with the find. TFTC

No gliders to be seen this morning but the new cache was soon spotted. Took geocoin. TFTC

Quick easy find with Miss 9 at the head of the GPS. Saw a few gliders around but they were interested in what they were doing and we did what we did. TNLNSL TFTC

I seem to to be partly blind today as this is the fourth DNF.

Jeez, certainly didnt have the caching eyes on today. Bad day at the caching office one could say. Roadway and main road rather busy, so only had a 15min search before feeling the pressure of passing cars and walkers wondering what I was up to. Back another day.

Took longer than it should have. Eventually found it in the first place we had checked. No activity here today. TFTC.

Despite Sunday being a flying day there were no signs at all of anyone being here other than the open gate. A quick find with spot on coords and a great looking TB too (marking TB as visited as it was in the cache but logged as being elsewhere).

I have spent many hours gliding.... easy find. Thanks.

The sun was just starting to climb in the sky making it a lot easier to spot this one. Had just signed and replaced the cache when someone arrived at the gate. He must have been from the club as he had a key for the gate. Did not know about this place so thanks for sharing. TFTC

Saw this one come up and left home about .5hr later with FMZ for a quick trip south. Not in time for FTF but a nice cache anyway. TFTC

Noticed this one come up and jumped in the car hoping for a FTF. Approaching GZ, another cacher had bet us to it! Missed FTF by minutes, but great to meet Daz (DazndKy). Nice spot, will have to pop by in the daylight. Our first night cache. TFTC.

Ky noticed this one come through and while she stayed at home Daz went out for the hunt. The GPS played up on the way there but decided to co-operate just as approaching GZ. After double checking the description and hint before beginning the search meant the cache was very quickly in hand. Opening the logbook revealed a blank first page. While signing the log another vehicle pulled up. Couldn't replace the contents and hide the cache fast enough; sprung. Very nice to meet mike-miss. Night cache #4.
