Find No. 1755. Found at 11.50am.

We had planned to take Geodog Penny on a caching trip to Wedderburn to get all those that we did not yet have. She has been missing out lately and has been unable to attend our caching days we have had, so today is her day out.

Heading out to do the Addams Family Series, that we have heard so much about and now we are finally doing it. We looked but could not see so walked off searching for the hide. Followed what looked like caching trails with no luck so turned around and back tracked looking at all possibilities with geodog Penny helping us out. Finally found it down on the ground. Noticed where it should have been so put it back there after we signed the log.

TFTC the old blokes.

TFTC. We decided to stay another day in Wedderburn to explore to the north around the Granite Hills and Korong Vale. Using caching as a guide.
We used to watch the Addams family in our youth, and then watched the repeats as the children grew up. A great series. We were not impressed with the Addams family movie. It was just not the same.
Thanks for reminding us and bringing us out this way.

18-Feb-17
This was another variation of a cache we have done several years ago. Do not see this one done often. Mark was left to direct while mogni and Mary made the find. TFTC.

In the area with Aussie M & M, for an event earlier in the day so now it is time to head back towards our accommodation and find lots of the fantastic caches to be had.
We left part of our team to advise the rest of us.
Thanks

After the lovely event today at Wedderburn, we headed out especially to find this series of caches. In perfect weather, which must have been organised by the old blokes in their absence, we set out to find the nearest one.
What a clever idea, we each took turns at the apparatus, before setting off to discover the hide, which was found by Muggle Hubby.
A favourite point from us.

Out today on a country road trip to fill in some LGA's and explore the countryside.
Sun came and and it really heated up - great to explore some new spots!

A really cool concept, first I have done. Was pretty sure of the spot and happy to sign a dry log Smile

How about this heat! Thanks old boys!

Lid is now missing and cache was on the ground. We replaced it on its perch and put the log in a waterproof container but it was a tight fit.

Found with josiey after Uncle Fester. Lid has now disappeared but Josie improvised a temporary log protector.

Thanks the old blokes for putting this cache out for us to find

Loving this show as a child , these caches were a must do for us this weekend. So we set off with TR! and honeysucker for the Addams Family series in The Granites Nature Reserve after a bite to eat in town , picking up a few in and around the area as we went. Hahaha we were looking the wrong way and wondered why we couldn't see anything. Finally with Mr honeysucker having the for thought to look the other way we had the vessel in hand.
Thanks to the old blokes for tricking us Smile

29-May-16
This series looked like a bit of fun, seeing we both loved the TV Series and Movies. So this was a definate for today.
Teamed up with TheTritonz today, and we had a lot of fun. There was laughter, fun and snorting to boot.

Out and about to catch up with some much loved members of the Addams Family plus a sprinkling of caches amongst the granitic outcrops north of "the burn" After following the directions on the cache page it was not long before the words "You rang?" were heard and we recorded our visit.

**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Whilst container is still OK, all locking devices on lid have snapped off.

Our thanks to the old blokes for placing this cache.

Travelling around Australia with our Cat.

Staying a few days in St Arnaud, today we decided to head back up towards Wedderburn and find some more caches.

Pretty cold today with a minus 2degrees start and only 0.4 at 9am. Didn't deter us though a great day out touring. Razz

Hmm you Old Blokes, don't seem to be as OLD as your implying [?] Or are we getting older and hadn't noticed [?] Razz This was also one of our favourite shows.

Info gleaned and I found myself back before I knew it. [^]

Thanks for placing your cache to assist with our touring of the area, and feeding our geoaddiction. the old blokes Cool

This was a great cache to find and loved how we had to look through the thing to find it. Well done group "the old blokes" .

A weekend in Wedderburn caching with the Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants brought us to this cache. A quick find for us after Robyn looked through the device from the right direction. TFTC the old blokes.

A very clever and unique cache, lucky Crazy Creels had read the instructions, as I was off heading in the wrong direction after looking through the wrong end! TFTC and a FP from us

10-May-15
Clever hide. Love the unique way of locating GZ.

03-May-15
This a a very well constructed multi cache. Just love it. It did take me a few minutes to find the final cache but there it was in plain view as stated in the description. The lid was in place but the clips were missing to hold it firmly there. A favourite from me. TFTC

19-Apr-15
Picked this on up with Team Crackers and Micaparamedic.
Sorry for the late and generic log,
Thank you for the hide,
Regards The Coffee's.

19-Apr-15
Catching up on some very late logs.
We were now travelling with The Coffees and micaparamedic grabbing a few caches before heading home.
We are slowly working our way through this series and each one brings back memories of when we were much younger and this was one of our favorite shows.
We have seen a similar type of thing many many moons ago so we knew what to do straight away.
We must have had crooked vision today as where we believed GZ to be was quite a few meters off, but after a PAF we had the cache in hand and our names are now in the log.
We replaced the lid as best we could so it should stay on and headed off to the next one.
Many thanks the old blokes for the great multi favorite point from us.

18-Apr-15
This was a very unique idea I really liked it. Thanks you have some great caches.

18-Apr-15
What a brilliant "thing" at the first stop. This then led us to the final . The lid had come off the cache but the goods were intact. Again the old blokes have excelled , a favourite is given.

18-Apr-15
Thanks for this very cool cache. I scoped it out and when I got to GZ, the lid was off. We couldn't put it back on securely so made sure it was uprights. Awesome multi, thanks the old blokes.

Caching this morning in Wedderburn with McLookers, Glanville Girls and Motndarg.

18-Apr-15
What a fantastic multi!!! We spied the GZ and made our way there. Once there, we did discover the lid was off the container and we felt we were not able to put it back on correctly. It may need checking. We love the multi and the final. A favourite from us, thanks the old blokes.

18-Apr-15
What a fantastic multi. We loved the tool at the first waypoint. We made our way to GZ where we found the lid to the cache container on the ground and the cache upside down. We signed the log and put everything back together. Thanks for the hide the old blokes. A favourite added.

18-Apr-15
This one was simple but lots of fun to do. Found the cache fairly easily but as the previous finders today noted, the lid was loose, so we had to be careful when putting it back. Took nothing but left a bead necklace. Thank you for this clever idea.

We came to Wedderburn for the 2 events and stayed a couple of nights to make the most of the weekend caching time.
We found your cache Lurch on 31/05/2014 2:35 pm. This is our find #3763 and find #18 today. The cache is in good shape.
Thanks the old blokes for the cache!

This was an interesting multi.

It all started when I had a deja vu moment. I serious believe that I had done this cache before in my mind!

Oh well. The coordinates were spot on and I loved the viewing mechanism.

Once again you gentlemen astound me with your ingenious caches, it's a pleasure (albeit occasionally frustrating) to do them.

TFTC, and a favourite point for this one too......mind you, if you include my deja vu it's really two favourites.

Obligatory quote.....

[Trying to convince Lurch to attend the Butlers' Ball]

Wednesday: It'll be fun.
Lurch: I like being miserable.
Wednesday: You might find a nice girl to be miserable with.

We headed off yesterday with a plan to head TOWARDS Horsham, but as our trips are generally slow (based on how many smilies we collect on the way) we made it to Charlton after dark, so this was our stop for the night.

Charlton cleaned up, the question of where to head next? Having attended the Wedderburn event earlier in the year, we knew there were some out of town caches we hadn't attempted, so decision that would would do the Mash & Addams family series.

Impressive multi, love the idea. TFTC SL

Another afternoon out with the family & K9 the Dalek's pet.
This is a great concept for a GZ. We looked the wrong direction at first, but free rechecking our bearings, we soon had CIH.
SL & exchanged swaps. Picked up a traveller - now, where to continue his journey? Maybe interstate?

10-Jun-13
Found at 10.30am, a perfect day to be caching - and an enjoyable cache to boot.
M operated the device and K strode forth - directly to GZ,
Nice one
We left a TB
Thanks

26-May-13
Found the apparatus and spied our way to GZ, but after walking to the first, and then second tree in line, we gave up. SOmehow we never realised we had to go a full 100m here when it was pointing at the ground 20m away. Our mistake for not reading the description I guess.
Thanks anyway

26-May-13
Given the name of this one, I was thinking in a deep voice "you raaaaaaang" as I wandered off to the coords, but I just had to look for the device with no doorbells anywhere! Found the device, looked through then wandered off to GZ where the cache was found quickly. I don't care if you stole the idea from somewhere else, it was something different which I enjoyed, thanks old blokes.

Sorry the old blokes for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Thanks to those who have accompanied me to make the day more pleasurable and many thanks the old blokes for placing this cache.

couldn't wait to get to this cache after reading the description, when i got to the unfamiliar device i then had to blow a massive spider out of it before looking through it, thanks for another great hunt "the old blokes". took horse, left slinky. TFTC

Just great - how good are these Old Blokes? Grabbed a dinosaur and left a MVFC member badge.

Found by Mary & David at 1305. "You rannggg?" Who can ever forget that phrase said in his deepest voice? This is becoming another memorable little series. Found the device easily but the view was hampered somewhat by the resident spiders. A lovely patch of woodland, and the usual high quality hide. Our thanks to the old blokes.

Find # 113 @1555H
No. 22 for today of 29

What a good way to spend 1 day of my holidays. Head over to Wedderburn and try and get them all. The home of the old blokes, what challenges await me.

Not quite in Wedderburn but i am now becoming more of a fan of the old blokes. Had to tackle the Adams Family Caches.

an interesting style of Cache. i like it alot + helps if you look through the device from the correct side. headed wrong way for starters.

Took Blue/green dinosaur

A big weekend away up north west was had which took in just over 100 caches, including 4 First to Finds, about 1000 days towards the Unloved Cache Challenge (GC3KWWQ) and some really fun adventures both solo and with new and old friends. Topped off with a great well attended event cache at Wedderburn.. (with yummy food too) Thanks to all the various cache owners along the way and my apologies upfront for the copy / paste style logging of those 100 odd caches.. Some of the Caches hadn't been found for between 6months and 18months which added greatly to my 15 years required for GC3KWWQ.. Thanks..

Many of the caches were a blur and thus there isn't too much I can add from an individual cache log point of view, my apologies to the cache owners who each have put a lot of effort into their respective hides..

I arrived here with the plan of spending the night.. I'd DNF'd Lurch in my tired state last night.. However after a good nights sleep in the Swag I was up fresh and ready to attack this one for the second time.. Thanks The Old Blokes for an awsome assortment of new and old caches and a wonderful event.

Another good cache that used a bit of ingenuity to construct it. It reminded us of that great series "Line of Sight" by Chookes that we did years ago. I think though your device may last a bit longer that that one. TFTC

Found at 3.20pm. Dick-tracy and I got out of the Bendigo Easter tourism frenzy for a relaxing day of caching today. Finally I've got around to finding this cache. Accurate co-ordinates and accurate scoping. The only cache of this nature that I've seen. TN...left some stuff. TFTC.

Like Billy said, we had the sense to get out of town today & avoid the Easter chaos. Really enjoyed this hide.

When I arrived at the posted coords I found a devise identical to one I found recently on the wandering Heroes series in SA. It was on the Team Astro cache and the crosshairs, like this cache pointed to the GZ. In that case it was some 20m, here it was more like 100m but still obvious where I needed to be. That was even in spite of the spider in residence in the tube which had done all but obscure my view but I was not in the mood to disturb him or her.
The cache was a good hide and eluded me right up to the last minute.
Thanks

A 15km drive along a good dirt road took us to this reserve. We saw a mob of roos as we entered and were careful not to send them across our vehicle's path.
Lots of feed around after the rain and such a good day to be out caching.
Novel approach here, first of this type I have run across.

Lovely day for a stroll on australia day. the kids loved this type of cache. Please note, becareful of the spiders that make their home in the unfamiliar device. may need a clean out before you line it up. Well done

A superb multi with a an imaginative viewpoint (so to speak). Had a hoot doing this one because of the effort put in its placing. Of course, an unabashed fan of the 'Addams Family' helped in the enjoyment. Thank you to the 'the ol blokes' for a truly unforgettable caching experience. In the company of 'The Comrades'. TNLN.

A very well set up cache which will hit my favourites list. WP1 went well but I had major cache blindness at GZ! It took me about 10 minutes to sort out and another ten for the pain from slapping myself on the forehead afterwards to subside! Well done the old blokes.

27-Mar-11
We were a bit puzzled at a multi out here but once the device was located it all made sense. After a bit of housekeeping it was an easy find. We love this area and happy to visit it again. TFTC

7th find of the day, and 2749th total find at 12:53.

Another great day of caching the area with the Morris and RobMc
We watched the Adams Family when we were younger, and tried to find a similarity between the character and the hide.

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks the old blokes for the cache

Didn't need to be as tall as lurch to use the supplied equipment. It did take us a while to try and clean it out though - a wasp had got inside and died. We eventually decided where we need to go, and it was a quick find by Lady Morris.
Thanks, Robmc.

My favourite character, by far Smile
I love saying "You Rang" in my best Lurch voice when I answer the phone at work Razz

As usual I hadn't read the cache notes when I arrived at GZ !!
I don't normally do that until it becomes obvious that maybe I should have (like when GZ is in the middle of a lake or oil refinery for example).
Out in the country I just assume that all caches will be traditionals Razz

So after a quick scout around at the coords, I discovered an object of unknown use Smile
It was here, so it must have something to do with a cache !!
Actually working out what it was for before finally resorting to reading the notes to confirm my suspicions made me feel 7 foot tall.
Like Lurch [:o)]

The cache was well hidden, despite being in plain sight Big Grin

Found by Roma and Max.
We thoroughly enjoyed this unusual approach to locating a geo container, reminiscent of an excellent series we participated in several years ago, and equally well presented, although the leeches that guarded that series were replaced here by mosquitos!.
Thank you again Brian & Bob, we now are left to wonder how many more of this eccentric TV family you will introduce to geocaching!
Cheers,
from Romax.
