As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Needs to be checked

Can the CO please come down to see if this cache is still here. We searched that bush real good. We looked under the leaves and went right in the centre of the bush, but nothing. We just about tore the whole bush out of the ground. So could you check that it's still there.

19-Oct-13
Wow what a big bush. Went right but were prickles. So went around the back of bush and was an easy find there.

Cool park. Hot Sunday arvo packed with families enjoying BBQ, low tide and people under the trees.

We have recently discovered this nice park after moving into the area. Of course my geocaching intuition kicked in and gave me the urge to look up the geocaching website with my smartphone and I was not disappointed to discover there were cache in this park.
After giving my boys only the hint, they had found this within 20 seconds of looking. I was surprised to see this hasnt been found for a few months. Log book dry and in good condition. Thanks for placing a cache in this area.

22-Sep-12
Only a little bit dodgy when two guys go behind a flax bush and come out high five eachother. Thats what it was like today. Great park and good size cache considering. Thanks

24-Aug-12

07-Aug-12
Went for a walk in the area during our lunch break, tide was in and the ground soft and soggy under our feet after all the recent downpours... we also had a run in with the thorns, eventually found the cache after a few minutes - easy when you're looking in the right spot Smile TFTC!

22-May-12
Seriously look out for thorns - they hurt!!!
Thanx for the cache.

01-May-12
Made straight for GZ, many thorns later and about 20mins stuck my head in and bingo. Nice park.TFTC.

21-Apr-12
Tide out on arrival at the park. Watched a family return from setting their flounder net. Cache was an easy find, despite its flaxy location. TFTC.

Find #600. Late dusk down at the park. Found the right hiding bush but then had to hunt about quite a bit. Just as well the cache has a bright lid which assisted spotting it amongst the leaves. Contents damp. TFTC

05-Jul-11
Was here at high tide, and the proximity of the cache to the water explains why it is all wet inside. Logbook dry inside it's bag but the rest needs some drying. Came for a bike ride and I know the kids will love the new playground here. TFTC

19-Jun-11
Building some new play equipment in the park. Very wet under foot. Cache pretending to be a submarine today, so moved it out of the harbour and into the flax bush. TFTC

The blackberries are taking over the hide, and there was a few ouches and other words and a bit of blood lost.
Added a few item,s to the cache.

1.55pm. Even though I have an inflated dislike for hides in these plants it was nevertheless a simple find.
Thank you. David.

Found during a cache raid of Tauranga. Sunny day to enjoy the walk to GZ but the ground was a tad boggy. Searched a few of our favourite plants before we spotted sonmething out of place T4TC.

08-May-11
The park redevelopment looks interesting .... children will have some cool play equipment to explore. Left a few trades for the next kids who visit.

We had found the cache open and half full of water Sad; we tipped out the water and dried the cache out; thank goodness for the logbooks good ziplock bag [^] - it had kept the logbook dry!

09-Apr-11

#336 On our first visit to this area we were both as startled as each other when we drove in to find a gaping hole and huge earthworks in progress. The gate saying 'No Access' was open, so that we couldn't see the sign! A friendly wave & a fast retreat... No doubt some head-shaking by the workmen.
Back again in the week end, we checked first for a walking track then joined the crowd of keen dogs out for a treat as well. Luckily all these muggles's needed was a pat on the head and we all went our merry way. Cache was easily found & in good condition. No 'Geocaching note' in it though. Sharpened the pencil. TNLN Our third BJ cache today, thanks mate.

**** FTF *** My second FTF wohooooo!! Been keeping an eye on this one over the past few days but couldn't get out to snag it. Made it there this morning at 9.45am with Mosh, who had a great run around in the park. That's a large flax bush, and the blackberry thorns made for very careful exploration! Never knew this park was here, the main entrance is cordoned off but there is pedestrian access down the side so no excuses for anyone else to find this cache. TFTC.

26-Feb-11
Walking into the park saw small group standing in the middle talking. Had quick chat then went our way. Got to right area in time with a mother and son who wanted to play in the water beside the cache site. so had to wait . Mother wanted to move off thank goodness so quick find after this.
