Find 3253A nice quick park and grab cache. All quiet in the street today.Log signed and all back safe again. Thanks Rhinogeo
Leap day! It seemed like such a waste for me to be working today and only being able to find one cache, well maybe next time I can gallivant around and get those sneaky little badge gen add ons. Well that being said another day being busy at work today as I quickly grabbed this one on my break. Seeing a local dog walker sitting nearby I quickly ran past, grabbing signing and returning the cache before they got too suspicious. Regardless thanks for the cache!
Well, that was an adventure and a half . After donning all the required gear and safety goggles, boots, gloves I headed to where I thought the cache should be located, only to find it well guarded by two black and white denizens of the deep. They sidled past me, keeping a watchful eye on what I was doing. At this point I was grateful for all the safety warnings and for the CO's foresight into listing suitable PPE for the attempt. I swam around the feature, looking for any sign or clue to the treasure I was seeking when out of the gloomy depths, a glimmer of bright pink. What else could it be? I reached in tentatively with bated breath, keeping my own watchful eye on the guardians in return. Thankfully they were happy enough to just keep swimming, in circles around me. Yes, it was the non-squishy feel of a hard container - SUCCESS!! I carefully extracted what I needed and made my pirate mark before leaving some suitable booty for the next finder. TFTC and the adventure, really appreciate what you did here <3
**06/01/2024, 07:14:00****Find #5637****Traditional Find #3365**I headed up to this part of Melbourne, a part I seldom go to, for an event and to find a few caches. I've been needing the Scuba attribute for at least two, perhaps three challenge caches for a number of years. I thought the closest cache with that attribute and which didn't require diving, was one that is on a submarine in Holbrook N.S.W. Last night when I searched GSAK, I chanced upon this one. I made a point of getting an early start so as to beat the muggles that this weather would bring out. This turned out to be a quick and easy find. The hidey hole however was very reluctant to give up its treasure and I had to wrestle with it but in the end, I prevailed.**Thank-you to Rhinogeo for placing this geocache**
Was in the area picking up some mystery caches. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to get this one considering those pretty unique attributes attached. Cache was a quick find in a logical spot.
Was nearby doing an ad lab and thought I'd stop off and get this one.I added some more paper to the many sheets have been added in the past.
Found on a quick pitstop on our way to the Cache of the Year awards. Thanks for the quick diversion
Hera and I were on our way to Hampton for the Cache of the Year Awards and decided to stop for a trad or two along the way. After logging one just up the road, we made this our second target. It was a nice quick find in a lovely little area. The log sheet is filling up. A few small areas left to sign small but would benefit from a replacement. TFTC
Can't say I was familiar with this spot. A rather bare strip of reserve with seats and plaques on them. Maybe that's the relevance of the description? Some interesting attributes that's for sure and I realised after chatting with the previous finder, they had brought this one to my attention merely because of the attributes. Not quite sure how those attributes were permitted as they seem deceiving. The cache was found in its snug hidey hole and subsequently signed on the provided seat for my convenience and returned. Leaving, I wondered if the residents across the street were ever curious of people stopping by here. Thanks for the cache Rhinogeo.
With the bad weather today I had cancelled my usual Friday evening caching run, but as I was leaving work I heard about my route home being a car park. As such, I thought let's dodge storms, instead of sitting on the Monash car park. Glad I did as when I ended up going home, I had a great run.Still dodging storms I was glad I didn't need my Scuba gear, but the Hunting attribute is correct. This Hunter was here. Thanks for the cache Rhino GeoHunter
Had a few goes at this one and was initially muggled out. Managed one cache today. I.walked around and around and back to the car to read some logs.which didn't help. Used my phone camera to locate the cache which was jammed in .. I was surprised to find so many old logs.. they were a bit jumbled but found a spot to sign. Thanks Rhinogeo for the fun
TFTC Rhinogeo quick find with junior cachers, Rara,Syd & flash. Needs new log nice hiding spot.
Found at 15:55
I searched for a while before a car pulled up at the house opposite do I went for a walk. Found nicely tucked away when searching again.

Coming back from Bairnsdale. Picked up by Dromaniax for some awesome Nightswimming -Intro REM. I suited up and off I went careful at first, then with with more speed as I gained confidence as I realised, that no sharks were going to be able to access me tonight. Then with one final plunge the cache was mine. Thankfully there is also no night shooting allowed in this region.
Thankyou for this cache rhinogeo

Too scary to get this one
We braved the bugs and went for it... Quickly signed and returned to its hidey hole.

Out taking the doggo for a walk and thought we'd pick up an easy cache on the way!
So glad the wind has died down - it was icy earlier today!!
Cache soon spotted and we added our names to the log under the cover of darkness, before replacing everything as found.
Thanks for the giggle in the cache description - it brought a smile to our faces!! TFTC.

Love the oldie caches, today I had to stop to grab this cache at GZ ...I dived in to locate the very hidden cache.
I was sort of in the area today so I made a special trip to find this cache... Why this one? The creative application of Attributes of course! Some of them are very hard to come by otherwise. Cache was tucked away safe and sound. Thanks **Rhinogeo** for the cache... and for helping me finish a challenge.

Starting off the day with a wonderful breakfast and pleasant company before heading to a CITO, then Brighton for a couple of caches and then on to my mums to do some chores.
A nice quick find and boy, does that container fit snuggly!

After sitting around a camp at a New Years Eve celebration I was told that I should have a go at finding this one.
Since today is a public holiday I thought that it would be a good time to travel across town and have a go at it.
Plugged the general area into Google and off I went.
I haven’t seen the Nepean Hwy this empty for a long time.
Soon arrived at GZ and I thought to myself that this could be a quick find or it could take a while.
Luckily for me it was a quick find in a nice quiet little street.
Thanks Rhinogeo TFTC.

Out with echidna44 but she had already done it so she waited while I made the easy find. Thanks for the cache Rhingogeo
Needed a cache to keep my daily streak alive, was looking for easier D/T ratings when I came across this one.
A nice little green space. I enjoy that Melbourne as some of these smaller more unique shaped green spaces. Just such a lovely unique thing Melbourne does, that so many cities don’t.
Once I arrived at GZ my phone honed into a particular beacon and with one lap around it the cache was spotted. A quick signature from me and the cache was back in it’s place safe and sound. TFTC
Cache Maintenance Status: The container was in good shape. The lid attachment mechanisms still worked well. The logbook was clean and dry, and probably had still at-least half a page for future cachers to sign.

We found this one a while ago but didn’t have a pen for the log. Came back today to write in the log.
I found this cache today and was laughing when I saw it as I walked passed that area 3 times. I found the cache tucked away and in good condition. I wrote my username and headed back home.

Ha ha, not sure if any Karen's are going to find this cache in a hurry.
We, on the other hand, were prepared!
We (geokid, geodog and myself) were out for a bit of fresh air after spending some time down at Brighton Beach. This was a good cache to search for as we didn't have much time - just under an hour. We parked nearby and walked along the track towards the cache. We wondered if horses were allowed to use this path as well as bicycles and pedestrians but we didn't see any. In fact we started wondering which forms of transport are allowed… snowmobiles even.
‘Don’t be stupid’ said geokid, ‘just because you can get this cache in winter doesn’t mean there will be snow here!’
I retorted ‘but wouldn’t that be fun – we could get out our cross country skis and race the full length of the plantation!’
‘I’d rather be scuba diving with the guys we saw down the beach than cross country ski!’ came the reply. Ah, to be young
We continued on our way and with summer in full swing we made sure to tread carefully and avoid snakes and other dangers in our path. As a typical Brighton day goes, the air soon became chilly in the late afternoon and we joked that it would be nice if someone had set up a campfire but of course that is not allowed around here.
Before we knew it we were at GZ, a quick hunt and we thought we knew where it was. Of course, as it happens - a muggle comes by just at this moment. Not to worry we thought, just take a seat on the bench nearby and wait. Then we saw who it was! OMG, that cow from cafe who insisted on being served immediately even though she could see there were not enough staff. We smiled and nodded as she past.
Woo Hoo! We were able to grab the cache and sign the log at last! What an eventful afternoon.
Thanks Rhinogeo for the cache and the adventure

I think my partner told me about this cache a year ago back when I first met him. Roll on a year, to the day mind you, and we are here and I am finally signing the log on this very valuable cache .
Cachers who chase challenges would know what I am talking about when I say "valuable" .
Being an old hat of this game, I did everything by the book to prepare me for the best possible outcome to finding the cache and signing the log. I read the description and took note of the attributes so that I would come equipped with the necessary totts as outlined and explained in detail on said page.
Driving to gz I had a sinking feeling that I may have taken too much notice to the information given, and as I disembarked from my vehicle rather awkwardly as my footware was getting in the way of the pedals, I noticed that instead of blue, there was green. Instead of sand there was black rock. Am I mistaken. My choice of eyeware was making things seem blurry. After all that reading and preparation I still buggered things up because I was towing my snowmobile when I should have bought my rifle!
Now where is that blasted cache......
Please see the images I have provided and things will become clear .
Thank you Rhinogeo for much laughter which I provided to the local residents free of charge.

There’s a lot of nice houses around here!
Whilst I am making my way from work to a Tuesday night tennis match, I picked out this cache as a good park and grab. As I sit here in the 34 degree evening heat wondering if people ever make good use of the bench seats around here and trying to make sense of the cache description, the one thing I did understand is why you don’t need a snowboard or cross country skis!
As I approached GZ I looked in the obvious spot and there it was.
Thanks Rhinogeo for the cache and for breaking up the drive with a cache

Came with all manner of toys and skis and scuba gear to retrieve the challenging cache but pretty pleased I didn’t get wet or cold. Still in Melbs looking at outdoor activities to pass the time of day. Yes, lovely plantation and a few grand old trees. TFTC and the fun!
Found with PapaGrouch. I had had this cache on the radar for a while after being told it had some interesting attributes. We decided to go for a drive this afternoon and find it, thinking it might be quieter in the as it was a public holiday. A lovely leafy reserve was found and after a little circling the cache was spotted. TFTC
Obviously we didn’t bring along the snowmobile, that would be silly, but we did don on the skis, which looked a little out of place with the scuba diving gear we were wearing, covered by a hi vis top so we would be visible to any hunters in the vicinity.
Turns out the gear wasn’t necessary today, as conditions were fine for the very short stroll to GZ, where a very much sought after cache awaited.
Thanks Rhinogeo. Nice attributes

We were off to Melbourne today to make some purchases at IKEA and have lunch with Mrs. Dromaniax's mother. It was magnificent weather to be out and about, and being back in parts of Melbourne, we have been for several years due to COVID-19. While in Melbourne, we chose to find a few caches in LGAs we have not cached before. The was the cache that we particularly wanted to find. We haven't found any caches in this LGA, and this one is somewhat attractive for its unique set of attributes. We found the cache in this lovely park in Brighton, and it was in excellent condition. Fortunately, we had both the skis and the scuba gear packed as we needed to schuss down the piste before swimming under the ocean to find the cache. Thank you for this cache Rhinogeo.
Happy Halloween! Thanks, this was in a lovely spot I wouldn’t have seen if it wasn’t for this cache - thank you!

The Plantation...
Suddenly I started envisaging a grand property in the warm, humid Southern states of America.
So I had to make a second take to reconcile some of the attributes here. Fortunately, we must have come at a benign time of year, before the local snow drifts have accumulated, then melted... submerging the area under a significant depth of water - because Heymissjo wouldn't let me stop at Anaconda today.
Not to get skis.
Not to get scuba gear.
Not even a kayak!!
But that's just a matter of time! ??
In other news, geo-ninja was right on the money here.
Thanks, Rhinogeo.

The Welder and I are rarely in the area, but as we conveniently in ‘Brighton Darling’…. Not for bobo, but for some other caches! This one has been on our list for a little while as it has some rather nice and more unusual attributes. Thanks for maintaining this cache!

we are here
it seems every gog and magog who wants to forge a name for themselves in this silly sport of ours will soon enough venture over to this particular treasure
we can only theorise why this one treasure in the hundred nearby is so popular
for us, it will tick off a challenge
even though we have sworn off the sugar high of d1.5/t1.5 treasures, we are happy to spoil our appetite today in the hope of a grand banquet tomorrow
so
we are here
we are here with the same filter as everyone else
we are here with the same old jokes about superfluous apparatus
we are here with the same fingers crossed that nothing will change

Took a bit of hunting and avoidance of Brighton Ladies but found it. At least there were fewer people about today - hopefully they will all be out getting the Pfiiiiiiizer….
Nice hide!! Thought I may have needed some serious equipment but it was fine. Battling the fading light I was determined to get that "just one more cache" lol. Thank you for the cache here. Cache in good condition and dry.
It’s survived more than 10 years but the recent string of DNFs indicate it may have been muggled . Disabled pending checking/replacement
Another sunny day so I’m out to get some exercise and to tick off some LGA requirements.
I returned today to GZ. I got all the gear out of the car and suited up ready to tackle this once more. After communicating with Rhinogeo I set out with a replacement cache in hand to replace this “missing” cache. Although my goggles were fogging up, I took a closer look and as I felt around, something unusual was discovered. Perhaps the last finder hid this a little too well with too much camo but the original cache appeared and is alive and well. I removed my skis and sat to sign the log. Finally I was able to add this to my list and the attributes to go with it.
Thanks Rhinogeo for the cache and for such prompt responses. Glad this one is still alive and well.

The cache is still in situ Many thanks to RoamingHowie for confirming its status [^]
I have had this cache on my list for a long time and today was the day. I arrived at GZ, but a muggle was sitting on the chair near GZ, so i drove to a nearby cache and came back a little later.
I spent a good 30 mins searching at GZ but I was unable to come up with the goods. I’ll keep a close eye on this one ready to return for another chance to nab this one.

Awesome cache! GPS was all over the place, but soon settled down. Thanks Rhinogeo
I was out running an errand in Elsternwick and needing a find today, decided to grab this one on my way back home.
Lovely little bit of land reserved for the enjoyment of residents here. There should be more of these green spaces everywhere. Surprisingly a quick easy find here even though its well hidden. I let a muggle walking her dog pass me before returning the cache to its hide.
The cache and log was in good condition but I did have to remove some rubbish out of it.
Thank you for the cache here Rhinogeo

On the bike ride around the location to complete a couple of Lab Caches and thought I’d grab a few geocaches nearby.
A very very clever use of camo here. Really good little hide.
Cache has had owner maintenance but has not actually been enabled again...and shows disabled on the map.
I shall message the owner

TFTC! Cache is safe and sound here! Lovely walk along here and really peaceful. Added another log to the cache as the previous log was full.
It took a bit of searching, but I found it nicely hidden in a suitable spot. TFTC!
Today was the first day in a while that we were able to go out, and we started the day by going to Phillippa's for croissants and corn bread.
Finding this cache took us a while, but that's because we're rusty! You betcha we got there in the end =)
