Putting this cache to rest I have not had the chance to get to the Prom to work out a better spot for this one with the rangers. In time I might replace it. Thanks to all those who have logged it.
I found the park ranger as we got out of the car..... This cache has been removed by parks due to damage to the area, it seems people have been spreading out their search and impacting on the incoming embankment. The prom is having issues with fungus being spread around the park so all caches are being looked at very closely for the impact that cachers are making in this environment. Especially those in remote ateas.
Disabling this cache until I get time to go down to the Prom and speak with the rangers. Hopefully I will be able to move it to a location that is not going to cause any problems for the rangers and the environment.
Youre right about the difficulty level, if it was a busy time of year. I was lucky with virtually no traffic. TFTC.
Love this location it's very nice. It was however very cold. Cache was quickly located. We are visiting from Townsville.

I found this cache on a lovely winter afternoon at the prom. I was due to meet up with ahomburg, drjim7 and josiey later in the day so I had a few hours to kill. What better to do than nab a few caches?
This was a nice quick easy find, my last before catching up with ahomburg, drjim7 and josiey.
Thanks Hearse068 for the cache.

I went to go find the geocache but I coudnt find it. I had recently found the cache but when I went to go find it again it was gone
We had missed this on the way in so picked it up on the way out at the end of the day. Mr Squalid had to get it as Mrs Squalid's legs had seized up through too much walking! TFTC.
Had to use my quick skill in finding this one, lots of many muggles around today
Thanks
Thanks
Thanks for the cache. Quite a nice one. Thanks heaps and good luck to other Geocachers PIPPAESP.
This cache was the next on our little tour. TFTC!

We found this nice one while spending two beautiful days in Walkerville (BearGullyCottages) & The Prom!
Found the cache at night when the muggles sleep and the marsupials run around. Thanks!
Arrived in Tidal River today after collecting a couple of caches on the way from Inverloch.
Finished tea so thought it an ideal time to look for a few more, but when I got near GZ on the bike for 'Lazza's' it was obvious that I was going to appear obvious if I stopped and searched. So on to this one.
I was lucky to pick a good time with no muggles so this one was retrieved, signed and returned with quick speed and no interruptions.
Thanks Hearse for a cache at one of our favorite places that we should have visited much more over the years.

Had to wait a bit, there were so many cars coming and going. Eventually grabbed quickly. TFTC
An easy find today now that three quarters of the campers have left after Xmas, New Year and Australia Day. Even so we have now seen our first wombat. It was in Sixth Avenue eating the grass. TFTC.

A long weekend camping trip to Wilsons Promontory had us departing home Saturday morning with the goal of finding 12 caches to reach our milestone 500th find.??
For this, our sixth cache of the weekend, we were able to introduce a few non-cachers to the fun and wonder of Geocaching. We made a quick discovery. However, the muggle activity in the area was moderate to high so we had to time our retrieval operation (and replacement) carefully. ??
Signed log. Thanks for the cache.

One of our caches in the Prom - really nice area (only the camping spot is to busy - to much people)

Happy new year 2013. Camping here for the week. Tftc no swaps but signed the log. Easy to find hid it a bit more.
On our stay in the Wilsons Promotory we found this cache.
Thanks for hidding.
Thanks for hidding.
An easy find. GeoNephew and I had attempted this last year and dipped out, but this year it's all OK again.
Quiet on the road. Everyone is walking up mt Oberon as it open today at 1500 hours. Recommend this walk as views are magnificent. Tftc
One of the last days before it will probably get really busy here, but now it was no problem logging this one at the start of our hike. TFTC!
We found it rather quick. Never thought it would be so easy, with so many difficulty stars. Thanks for the quick pick up.
Fond this one before hiking off to Little Oberon Bay and Telegraph Junction. An overcast day kept the heat of the sun away. TFTH. TNLNSL.
Found it with Snerha on our way back.
Met two cachers an had a little talk. Greetings.
TB out.

Nice easy find on a warm evening stroll. What a fantastic area Tidal Flats is. Left TB
This was a fairly quick grab being during the week and out of peak season. We had just spent quite a bit of time exploring the Prom and were waiting for the sun to set and get a good view so came down here to fill in a few minutes having driven past this one earlier in the day. Made the grab. No muggles in sight unless you count the wombat that was watching from nearby!
Away for the weekend with friends celebrating a birthday. This was an annual event for a long while but with floods and fires this will be our first time back. This is such a beautiful place and has it all, beaches and bush. Camping at Tidal River this was a short walk after picking up some goddies from the shop.
We were all prepared for a challenge here with the rating as it is but it was a simple walk up and pick up and sign off. The rating is well to high here, but that may change I guess when the road opens to Mt Oberon again.
Thanks for the cache Hearse068

An easy find on a cold, damp, Tuesday night. We arrived in Tidal River a few hours earlier heading out to South Point for a bushwalk the next morning. A few people in camp, I can only imagine how popular a place this is in summer. I went out for a walk to find this cache and look around a little.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache Hearse068.
best wishes,
Wal

What a great part of our Oz - love the countryside/coast and the people. Enjoying our visit from SA and the caches also thanks.
We finally made it into Tidal River. As I stopped and the girls went in search of the cache and lone young pooh bear (wombat) came out of the bush just in front of me. He then wandered across the road to have a pick of green grass before returning to the bush. Cache was found and returned by the girls in the mean time - thanks for the cache.
Luckily for us there were no muggles around, so a quick find for us. TFTC! Took TB.
Found with a whole bunch of kids who made up names which mainly seemed to contain the word pig.
TFTC luckily no muggles around - the strong winds and rain scared them away in our favour!
TFTC. We did this cache in the evening when all labor day muggles had already left.
Last day here so an early morning walk while the sun was rising was extremely pleasant. There was not a breath of air, just the birds, the insects and the surroundings. Easy find in such a peaceful location. TFTC. TNLNSL. Kems
Found with draw four after tea with all the kids and Mum. We then did a walk circuit back to our site via the road that goes past the eco huts. tftc.
Decided to walk down and check this by myself just after lunch. Cache was placed under some bark right behind sign. Signed log book and then took all the kids down after tea and then did a loop walk past the eco huts and then around to our sites. Noticed that gmj3191 had visited sometime in the afternoon. tftc Hearse068
This was easily found and in good condition. Clearly it can be re enabled.
Nice little cache to welcome visitors to Tidal River.

Looks like this one is back in it's hide. I had a geocaching friend check this for me a while ago and he said there had been some gardening work going on at GZ so I am guessing that the gardeners removed the cache while they did their work and have now put it back.
Spent a while rummaging, but without luck. It's only when I get back to the computer that I find it's been archived. D'oh!
Cache seems to have gone maybe to the beach for a swim in this lovely summer weather. Will get down to replace and maybe shift this cache ASAP.
The Geowife claimed that she spotted it as we drove past. I did not believe it. But it must have been true because when I stopped here after driving the loop, she knew exactly where to go and had it in her hands within seconds.
Nice easy find after going for a walk around tidal river tftc tnln

During my vacation in Australia I searched and found also this cache. Really a very nice area. I had here very much fun. TFTC
