Somehow, the key to this cache ended up in Lynnwood, WA USA (N. of Seattle) recently. No idea how it got here, but I am putting instructions on it to move back toward Auckland whenever possible. Maybe you can repurpose it if it ever arrives!

This cache is being re-appropriated as a Traditional cache. See Titirangi's Bridge to Nowhere.
Cheers M@

Unfortunately, the master key has gone missing, and one of the keys has been stolen. So this is being converted to a traditional cache. The lock has been removed.

The location is worth a visit. Mr Gecko is still in the cache.
Cheers, M@

Hello there from Ivor Virginia..the origination of Landsharkz Gecko Geocoin. Mr. Gecko hasn't traveled in a while and was hoping someone would check the status. Is it still there in the cache?
Much appreciated if you could let me know.....

Stumbled across a key for this treasure chest a week or so ago so figured with the nice weather today it would be ideal for a walk to find this cache. Indeed a nice spot, and the (slippery) steps back up to the track had the heart pumping! Visited with 10cc while out and about out west. Dropped a coin. TFTC!!! Big Grin

When I met Phasevisitor earlier in the last week while after a FTF, I discovered that they had the Treasure Chest key #2. They had already found the Treasure Chest so they handed the key over. I am on a mission to finish the AMJC Challenge series and a trip out to the Waitaks was in order so this was my first stop as soon as I got into the area. The night was cool and the walk out to GZ was really pleasant. I found the cache easily and was headed back to the car. This is a really nice spot at night especially with a clear sky and all the stars. Glad to have found this one at last. +1 Fav for a neat cache. TFTC!

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.

Headed out for my birthday today, exploring the area between Titirangi and Whatipu.

Picked up the key for this cache earlier in the day at Doggie Heaven on the Manukau Harbour.

Nice walk to GZ and found the cache after a short search.

Liked the idea for this one!

Came the wrong way in with my two dogs "helping" me down a steap slope but followed the pipe and more importantly the steps out. Have enjoyed these caches around the much used exhibition drive and this one had some lovely views on a sunny ANZAC day. TFTC.

Parked at Shaw Rd. and started to go down the main track, but decided to go back & pop onto a small track I'd seen some dog-walkers take. Darn- wish I'd brought the mountainbike; there is some nice singletrack in addition to the main gravel trail! I could see the dog & crew ahead, and was surprised to see them suddenly turn & go crashing through the bush about 80 meters from GZ. I went a little further, just to check the trail & saw a grassy meadow full of MTBrs picnicking. Turned back and spied an overgrown track which took me right to GZ. Well, it kept pointing to the same spot no matter how many times I walked back & forth- and of course, what fitted the clue was exactly there but the cache was not! Much wandering and inspecting other suitable specimens, and finally got 1bar on the phone so squeaked out a txt for help. Sure enough, the cache was on the other side of the bridge at the only one I hadn't noticed, and cache very easily spotted. It was a bit devoid of Treasure, so I left a blingy ring I'd found on the sidewalk in the inner city yesterday, and a postcard. crossed the bridge, took the stairs & the "highway" home. TFTC!
took 3 samples waypoint averagin, came up with same coords, but easting .554 FWIW Smile should have just broadened my search & opened my eyes, LOL! [:o)]

I had looked at this one once before I think, but not really payed attention. I put it on the one day later pile.

Then, at the leap year event, I was offered the key... how could I resist!?

I had planned to be here, and get the cache last weekend, however other things came up, and it had to wait till now.

So, despite the rain and all, off I was!

I didn't actually know how to get to the cache, but found some path which looked about right. And sure enough, it was! I was soon near the cache, and opening it too, thanks to the good hint! (After sliding down banks/steps to get to the cache!)

There was two cockroaches in the cache though... which was a bit gross, but threw them out!

After finding the cache, I then went, and decided to take the path as it continued back the short way... hmm... not such a good idea maybe??
The path soon ended, and I was bush bashing my way up a steep slippery, wet and muddy bank...

Then I saw what looked like an old roof, and possibly parts of like a shelter or something scattered down the slope. So I decided to follow it. Because that meant that a path was there just above probably, either where the shelter used to be, or somewhere someone could have thrown the shelter from!
I felt like such an explorer! Especially after I found that there was actually a path there! And that I was only a few metres away from the car park! Yay! Smile

A nice adventure!

TFTC!! Smile

We decided it would be nice to mark this Leap Day with a special cache. Having been fortunate to get possession of the key to Toska's Treasure Chest a few days ago, this cache was the obvious choice. Parked at the bottom of Shaw Rd and made our way to the trailhead where we could see some narrow steps descending steeply into the depths of the bush. Headed on down, and were surprised to eventually emerge at a bridge carrying the pipe over the valley. Lovely views of the bush from here. Soon located the Treasure Chest, used the TB key, and had the logged signed. Thanks for the adventure.

stretch.kerr did all the hard work getting the key. Enjoyed the walk to GZ and the puffer on the way back to the car. TFTC.

Id been following this cache since publication hoping to get a hold of one of the keys. Found out at 11-11-11 that stretch.kerr had obtained the key so the call was made to team up with stretch.kerr and avoyager. This was our first find of the day. Enjoyed the walk down to GZ and found the cache easily in the first spot I checked. I lost my sunglasses at GZ so if anyone spots them, id be grateful to get them back! Thanks for the cache! Never knew this bridge existed down this walkway! Big GrinBig Grin

Braved the weather with Yugeo4 and slipped and slithered our way to the cache. A lovely spot, and certainly one we wouldn't have found by ourselves.

Not really a DNF but more a CNF (could not find) as the key had been previously picked up by someone else who is planning to do it shortly, is there any chance of dropping the other TB Key into circulation so it increases the chances of finding/opening the cache?

Nice concept, will be keeping an eye on this one for the next chance at the key.

I have been following this cache for some time meaning to find it and took the opportunity today. I think the recent publication of the "Two Factor" cache prompted me to get on with it. Anyway I got the key this morning walking past the remote contol yacht club event Big Grin. I took the kids to get the treasure chest itself. One of whom was dressed in her favorite party dress Big Grin. Needless to say that once the side path was found (we initially missed it as the entry was well concealed in the grass) I was carrying one child down and up - a good workout!. Easy find and the lock came straight off with the key. Now to move the TB on. TFTC - nice hide and implementation.

Well I have had the key for nearly a week now. It really is about time I made my way out here to make the find. Certainly improves your odds of making a FTF: having the only availiable key to open the cache. A great puzzle concept. I was pondering using TB's in a more intergrated way with caches, a while back, when I noticed that it had already been done with the first incarnation of this hide (and earlier still of course)!

I parked at the end of Shaw Road and made my way to the trail head. Negotiated my way done the steep and loosely positioned stairs before been surprised by a bridge (picture attached)! GPS was pointing well away from the cache. It had the right side of the track, but wanted me to inspect the bridge's foundations. After coming to the conclusion that that would require some scrambling I thought it unlikely the cache would be there. Time to break out the glue. Easy find (in a much more sensible spot) after that. My first FTF on a puzzle cache (FTF #7)! Though it has more to do with my willingness to trek up streams than my puzzle solving ability.

Tried to drop the key off nearby, but the cache was too small. Indeed I only found micros the entire way home. Will return the Key to the wild ASAP! Cheers for the cache! Big Grin
