A quick find here on our way past today, cache is all goodCourtneyrose_ and I headed fora weekend away to Kangaroo Island, we came to check out the sights plus to compete in the Marathon. A great weekend away with a few caches found along the way. Thanks for the cache
Amanda is working for a while in KI and Ive come down to visit for a week. Doing our best to discover every cache on the island during our time. Walking and driving around Kingscote today to explore and grab as many as we can. This one was a quick grab as we drove by.Container needs replacing TFTC
We have arrived on Kangaroo Island for a 5 day break. We first had this trip planned several years back but that year KI had an extreme fire situation happen and we were offered a refund on our trip which we took. We have waited this long so that the island could regrow and show herself at her best. We have been using geocaching to guide us around and two days into our break we can certainly attest to her beauty. The caching has been interesting and we have many earth caches to write up and send to COs. All the caches we have found so far are in good condition. We did replace one log sheet. SL TFTC
Over in Kangaroo island for a weeks fishing trip with a few caches along the way. Quick grab on the way home. TFTC

Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent, Wellington, Cape Jervis and the Kingscote last night its now time to slowly head back towards Penneshaw to catch the ferry back to the mainland.Kangaroo Island has been on my bucket list for years and Roaming Howie had to squeeze back into the Geowagon put up with my driving and poor navigation for another day.Continuing along with our Geocaching expedition and visiting the Flinders Chase NP in the South West corner of the islandyesterday was one of the highlights of the Island. We will see what we can find on the slow trip back today and I didnt realise that the island so so big and I also didnt realise that Kangaroo Island was the first permanent settlement of South Australia even if it lasted only 4 years.By plane is a great option by we came by ferry and Geowagon. The cache was soon located and we added our names to the log and on to the next one. Thanks The Cocoa Beach Warriors TFTC.
Cache needs a new lid. Smart to supply a pencil sharpener! Looks like the container got a little wet inside.
21188During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
A quick stop on our return to Kingscote for the night a nice quick grab once I realised Id stepped over it a few times! Thanks The Cocoa Beach Warriors for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
Relatively quick and easy walk in from the road to find this one. The container and especially the lead are pretty much completely destroyed so some maintenance is a desperately required
My last find here on KI before heading to Tasmania. Thanks for a fun hide. May want to replace the container, the lid is all cracked and breaking.
A nice easy one to start our adventures. Thank you
The lid is broken, but nothing wet

Owl is on Kangaroo Island with Ostrich, Magpie and Bowerbird to celebrate the 80 year friendship of Magpie and Bowerbird. The one advantage for Owl is that Bowerbird is the Magnificent Muggle and absolutely insists on Owl caching. Of course, Owl is happy to oblige. This was found on the way to the accommodation and a nice quick find, though the plastic container is starting to perish.
Another.hot, beautiful day on the paradise of KI! All is good at this GZ and was a nice, easy find. Signed log, and replaced as found. Thank you!
We were on our way to Seal Bay today, taking in the sights and delights of KI. Stopped at this one along the way. Thanks for the cache guys, nice work here.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.

Day 2 of a 6 night visit to the Island. Today the weather was perfect. This was a must to find for the Adder. A flight sim enthusiast he had to visit this airfield. Very quiet today though with all the Covid restrictions. Thank you for the placement of the Which Way Is Best cache The Cocoa Beach Warriors find number 8449 on 10 September 2021 at 5:23 pm

As described, the Kangaroo Island Airport was designed to be a fit for purpose and proficient passenger handling facility and it is proven to be able to do this very well.
As with most regional airports there are not continuous aircraft arrivals and departures and when the airport is not being an airport, it is a large public building that has potential uses for functions, meetings and as a business incubator.
We have installed the expected flight information display system at check-in counters, departure gates etc however have enabled dual use of these digital systems for business advertising and promotion of the Island’s key attractions.
The facility included provision of gallery, wall hanging and lighting system in order for the airport to exhibit a wide range of arts from sculpture to fabrics, paintings, collages, photography and striking Kangaroo Island Brand images.
The first exhibition contained 50 pieces of art from 22 Island Artists of all shaped, sizes and mediums both inside and out. The exhibition has been widely recognised as a resounding success with people visiting the airport simply to see the art. In the first 2 months of the exhibition, over $20,000 of art displayed was sold to visitors and Islanders alike. The artists involved have commented on the increased level of interest they are fielding as a result of their art being seen at the airport.

Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangaroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come back into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.

This area brought back many memories, as I spent 4 days at the CFS basecamp during the KI fires in early 2020 which was in the paddock between the airport and the main highway, but didnt have the opportunity to get this cache. Finally good to return here and get it.

Found not a quick as I expected. Walked around a bit first with my phone gps bouncing around. I had put all the caches on my Garmin Gps...so I thought... but my phone did the job 99% of the time with me finding the cache eventually. We came over by Ferry. TFTC Cocoa Beach Warriors

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 86 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.
Still camped at American River, today we are exploring the road down to Vivonne Bay.
Easy find on our way home. Then we watched the RFD plane fly over us. Hope everything is OK for the passenger. Thanks The Cocoa Beach Warriors

22 days vacation in Australia, a big round trip around the red continent. Adelaide & Kangaroo Island, Darwin & Kakadu National Park & Yellow Waters, Alice Springs & Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Port Douglas & Rainforest & Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island, Blue Mountains, Sydney - what a trip! It's been great, it's been exhausting, it's given us so many impressions of this country that we'll need another few weeks to process all of these.
Of course there were also a lot of geocaches along our track and we tried to find them whenever they were (more or less ) on our path. Due to the amount of places, impressions and geocaches I'm unfortunately able to write a detailled log for each of them, but we appreciated every single one of them.
Thanks The Cocoa Beach Warriors for placing and maintaining this cache!

gatta nera and Hai Happen married! and what comes after a marriage? ok, her name is still gatta nera and not yet gatta Happen, but would be quit interesting
so, next is honeymoon
so, the decision was made, it should go to Australia, with a 12 hour stop over in Singapore to check out the bay area.
Our last full day on KI started this morning with putting back all our stuff from the bungalow into our car. First location was the Hanson Bay, continued to Vivionne Bay and Seal Bay.
After the Seal Bay (we saw some sea lions, but there have been way more at Admirals Arch, but I think a different type for sea lions ), we took our way back to a little town between Kingscote and Penneshaw for our last night on KI - tomorrow morning we will have to catch the ferry back to the mainland.
ah, and at our last day, we, or better gatta nera had the first time contact with a snake while looking for a cache, the question is only, who was more surprised and shocked, gatta nera or the snake? nobody will know, as the snake was gone within seconds and Hai Happen heard only, "oh, I think I've scared a snake, but she went below the bush"

On my three weeks’ leave in Australia I should like to see many of interesting things, a great nature also many animals unknown as well as known.
The distances are so huge, so we drive only one week by car and have three national flights.
I start in Melbourne then drive the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide, perhaps the Kangaroo Island, flight to Alice Springs to see the Uluru from there, two day camping in the outback,
flight to Cairns the Great Barrier Reef and flight to Sydney to see the Fireworks at Sylvester on the Harbour Bridge.
It is a busy plan, I hope it works.
This is my first cache in Australia, I plan to make not so many caches I like, because the time is very short to make it all, LOL.
Many apologies for the unit log.
I say thank you to all the cache owners for maintenance.

We pulled up to this one and were surprised at the number of cars here. Who knew it was so popular. As from the car towards the geocache a plane with flying kangaroo (I think) came in to land. Lovely. The cache was easily found, but I had to run back to the car to get a swap. TFTC
