There is no smell. Sadly a few spots of rubbish are now being found, glass bottles, and some bedding! Thankfully caches too
Out caching on Puketutu Island, must have been using an old pocket query because these caches came up to find. Nice quick find, caches still in good condition.
I had these caches on my gps and didn't know they were archived til I got home to log them. Last one of these we found on our way back across the causeway.
Making room for all the new caches that get published during work hours when I can't go out for them.
These weren't archived when I checked them this morning on-line, so I did a few caches before popping out to the airport.... very windy on this road, but fun to claim a few smileys... TFTC
Out for a caching walk with Miss Davieland to Puketutu Island. Nice series of caches. TFTC.
Today was a big caching afternoon for us! We found 23 caches in this area in few hours. And we really enjoyed walks in Ambury park. Thank you
Beautiful sunny day, bike riding aroud with friends and family, really enjoyed finding all the caches along the way, thanks!

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

Thanks for the cache.
First day in New Zealand, and caching our way to motel. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka.
On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
We had some time before heading to our event so we desided to find few of these trail caches. TFTC!
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
#1316. I am up in Auckland on a work trip and had the chance today to pick up some caches near the airport. I saw these caches near the Mangere sewage treatment plant and decided they would be useful to build up my Sept totals. Finally I spotted one of these hanging containers. Had tried two other caches before this one but couldn't get my eye in. Will recheck those on the way out. Replaced cache as found and off to the next one. Thanks for the cache.
Geocaching my way around Auckland with Just-Lookin.
Had lots of fun finding some caches.

On a road trip with Princess-Emily who found most of these hides. Great containers!

The log was soggy mush that would have disintegrated if I tried to open it, so I left a new one in a little plastic bag. TFTC
Some time available this morning and I decided to visit an other place in Auckland. Let's have a look to this small Puketutu Island ! There's fog and the atmosphear is really strange but also relaxing. A large part of the Island is private, so I visited the 2 accessible parts from the parking and also visited several caches on the digue.
Here's the outlet of the waste water treatment plant - the water is hot and full of food for insects, fish and birds. I've seen an amazing number of birds around the area. Step by step, the fog has disappeared and the sun replaced it. I spent 2 hours in the area with pleasure !
thank you for all these caches.

Nice quick find, as we were filling in time before our flight back to Wellington.
Weather had started to deteriorate, with squalls coming in over the land-bridge.

In town for a few days for a concert and a weekend away so decided to get some caching in as well. Thought that a power trail was worth a go so decided on this on seeing as it was close to where I was staying! Great and enjoyable trail! TFTC
Out for an afternoon Geocaching with the aim to break our daily record of 15. Down to the last CP battery. Time to get in the car and do a few drive-bys whilst the phone is charging. Find No. 23
Surveyers just up the road a bit, so had to do 'yak yak' on phone ... and JUMP into bush quickly ... lol.
A quick park and grab on the first day of my NZ cache tour. Visiting form Sydney. TFTC
Just flew in from Perth Western Australia and landed to early to check in to our accommodation so we decided to grab a few caches to kill time . We manage to find 31 and all were found quite easily.

We took on the MWTP series today. Due to the number and similarities of the caches I will split into 2 logs to cover the lot. Island Rd caches. Liked the first one (#5) on this road – spotted from some distance away as soon as we got out of the car. The caches got progressively stinkier as we made our way along the road. It was a warm and humid day and the smell seemed to hang around. It started spitting & we thought that might lessen the smell. We were wrong. OK need to get through these quickly then. Lots of midgies around today. All good until we got to the final one & Mrs beconaze was trapped in the car due to an aggressive and populous swarm of midgies (see pic). We pulled up next to the cache and spotted it from the car so Mr beconaze could make a dash and retrieve, sign and replace. Almost finished the series, we just had to dash back and grab #7
Having tumbled off the flight from Bankok needed some simple ones to get our eyes in focus TFTC
Had our eye on this trail for a while, and having not cache much around this area decided to give it a go. After heading up Mangere Mountain, we managed to get all but 3 of this series. Thanks fmz
After returning our camper van, we went for a walk to collect a few caches...

Found on a honeymoon trip around NZ! Last day here! When got to the airport hotel we had a few hours of sunlight left. The geo-hubby was sleepy, but i couldn't resist the call of the caches. This area was pretty deserted so it was easy pickings. This was another quick find. TFTC!

Had found about half of this series before but not along the causeway. While out getting the Stinky series, Madgajh drove me along and I hopped out to get each one. Thanks for the series.
Had to drop Middle Junior off at the airport at some unearthly hour so had an hour or two to kill before having to be back in town. Just enough time to pick up a few caches (some MWTP ones and a half dozen stinky jobs too).
Picked a few flowers while waiting for a few vehicles to pass by. Thanks for this series of caches
Still enjoying finding these caches, not a bad way of spending the day I reckon.
We decided to bring up our numbers today. We looked at the map, we took our bikes and out we went. We picked up all from 1 to 20 except for 16 which we had to sign off on the way back when the "honey mooners" had left. Thanks for the power track.
Found as part of the family - "find 28 caches in one day and get to 400". This part was done in car, though when the kids are older certainly need to do some cycling around here.
Do you have the car key?no you do!no I don't. Shall we continue anyway.yeah suppose
At this point a bit of excitment broke up our quiet walk, but with the end in sight it was quickly ignored and we soldiered on! TFTC
This obviously marks the really popular bit of the trail as many of the logs from here are getting really full, need to be replaced very soon.

Coords and camo at the usual high level but no auxilliary log in this one which is desperately needed. Squeezed our mark in on one side.

I thought to myself, how do I log a series of 20 cache which are exactly the same, without logging exactly the same “cut and paste” log (which I really dislike).
This was our 1st day of caching in Auckland. This series was just around the corner from where we picked up our motor home. So what better place to start our caching tour. Well to think about it , there are so many more scenic & sweet smelling places.
All the caches we found were in good condition .
Thanks for placing this cache funkymunkyzone

Despite the slight ordure in the air Dottie and I enjoyed the drive and the walk we did to grab this series.
Many of the logs are full, some of the caches have additional bits of paper being used as spare logs but these are crowding the cache somewhat and causing the logs additional damage.
Took binoculars and watched some of the local avian residents.
Thanks for setting the series.

With a few hours to spare before my flight back to Christchurch, this series was the obvious way to fill in the time. TFTC.

I had great joy in logging this series with the help of a local and a fellow traveller. Thanks for the series funkymunkyzone it has enabled this foreigner to get a bunch of caches while visiting your country. TFTC TNLN SL.
There are a lot of trucks going back and forth - don't they wonder why cars stop here all the time?
In Auckland for a Masonic Convocation in the nearby Hotel. We have been watching this series for some time and what better opportunity but do cache between conferring.

It was bigger ones turn here but little one decided to climb out of the car anyway right into a large pool of water followed by getting covered in mud! There was a reason I had said not to get out that side
Quick find of cache, log signed and returned. Then quick wipe down of shoes on the grass and we were on our way.
