Chewbacca72 and I are traveling during 4 months through Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. A few caches that are on our way should not be missing. This cache is one of them. Many thanks to bubblensqueak for hiding. Best regards, searchersab
Visiting the Katherine Gorge comes also with looking for caches. We enjoyed the visit and the caches on the way.Team Mavos - Albert and Maria
I saw the lookout from the water and wondered how one could get to the top. Thanks for taking me there for the views and the dreaming stories. TFTC
Nice views from the very tippy top.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winter for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the twentieth and ninth day of Julius Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a cool cloudy and raining. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. After a refreshing swim in the camping pool, we make our way to the lookout point. What a great view up here. We log this cache. Thank you for placing it.
Lots of people up here for the sunset. After some serious rock scrambling, I found it. Thanks. ??

Day 5 of our Australian trip . After started for some days in Darwin we are on the road now .First night on a rest area some kilometers after Darwin .At Katherine Gorge we took a walk and found this one on a beatifull sight .TFTC# 17'108
Nearly gave up on this one after the climb in 35degree heat but a small change in elevation revealed the hid. Spectacular place, thoroughly enjoyed the 3 Gorges cruise.
OCW PelDroedGwin We left geodog Peppa in the air-con of the caravan and headed into the park, as we didnt want to leave her alive for too long we chose this short walk as a gorge taster. Looked the track and the views, well worth the steep climb. Scrambled around at GZ and soon had CIH Tftc
Ocw the Bebes as we visit Katherine. Enjoyed our walk and views of the Gorge. Tftc
Found this traditional cache on a scorching hot day in the breathtaking Nitmiluk National Park. The beauty of the Katherine Gorge and its surrounding landscapes truly captivated me as I embarked on this adventure.Navigating through the rugged terrain and ascending the gorge's steep steps tested my endurance, but the panoramic views from the lookout made every step worth it. The cascading waterfalls, serene beaches, and ancient rock art sites immersed me in the rich Aboriginal culture and natural wonders of the park.Despite the heat, the thrill of the hunt kept me going, and locating the well-concealed ammo tin brought a sense of accomplishment. I made sure to stay vigilant of muggles while retrieving and returning the cache, preserving the spirit of the geocaching experience. As I signed the logbook, I couldn't help but marvel at the harmony between human culture and the untamed wilderness in Nitmiluk National Park. Grateful for the opportunity to explore such a magnificent place, I left the cache ready for the next adventurer to discover.
Onderweg van Darwin naar Broome deze cache gelogd. TFTC. Te veel mugglers, daarom fotolog.
Wow what a view, beatiful place in nature. Thanks for place this one. And we had not much with 4.0 Terraindifficulty so far
On our travels we stopped the the gorge and was very happy there were some excellent cache placements, so up we went and after a short detour we found the cache, not the black sistima but the well hidden tube, a favourite for us, thanks for placing this awesome cache
Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin along the west coat and returning through the centre to SA and home again. Mitmiluk, what can we say other than Stunning! Unfortunately, we were unable to manage all the walks, but we did what we could before it got too hot. Thanks for bringing us out here.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from WA up through NT and down the Centre to SA and then home across the Nullabor. We made an early start to avoid the midday heat. The scenery here is stunning so the steep ascent via the steps was well worth the effort. As previous visitors have stated, this location needed a replacement container so we obliged with a 180 ml black painted sistema. We placed right on gz according to our Garmin Montana, in a small crevasse with two rocks on top to protect it. Thanks for the hide.
Today we walked in Katherine Gorge along the Baruwei loop, Windolf walk to Jedda's rocks and return via Waleka and Yambi walks. What a warm sunny day, rewarded with magnificent views along the way. Quick find here after a scramble. TFTC
Thanks bubblensqueak for the hide close to the lookout. Certainly a challenge as it is no longer an ammo box. ( unfortunately people collect these). I went close to GZ between muggle walkers ( watch out it’s uneven)
looking at ledges but to no avail.
Went back to enjoy the view with the geokid as more muggles arrived.
Once clear I tried the GPS again and thought with all this rock where would I hide a cache ? … a little further than last time and understanding the 4 terrain and the small cache all dry was found.
Thanks for the challenge- signed and replaced. -as I see others have said - a geocacher could bring up a slightly larger container would help.

This morning we decided to go for an early morning walk. Unfortunately still many of the trails are closed, but this one gave us a good view over the Katherine river.
Here we first had to find a good way to get near GZ and then had to climb and search for a while. But the view, after heaving fulfilled the task, was amazing.
Thanks for the cache and regards from Switzerland.

We headed out to Katherine gorge and with a lot of the walks closed we decided to do the loop. It was a bitnof anslog up those steps in the heat. After a bit of searching places that would fit an ammo tin I read previous logs and found out it had changed to a much smaller container we had to re search some places. Great views from up here
Thanks for the cache

It's a beautiful walk from the boat rentals to Baruwei Lookout. Found this cache easily. Thanks for hiding this one and as always TFTC, MumDad2000
PS: It's a tube - the lid broke. If someone could bring a small container/petling to replace that one it would be great.

Actually a small container for so far in the bush, but found it in the end. Replaced broken log. TFTC

Log was a little damp, but managed to get my initials on it.

Definitely a hot walk! It took me a long time to find, because none of the information provided was correct. This is not a regular size, but a micro. It is not in a cleft. And it is 5m off the given coordinates.
I couldn´t log because the log was too wet to open.
Still, I´m very glad I went there, I saw and I conquered.

TFTF beautiful outlook from here. Got caught without a writing utensil so took a pic of the log as proof
After canoeing on the Katherine River at Nitmiluk, we took a steep walk to the top of the gorge where we had absolutely spectacular views.
We could see from previous logs that this one was in need of some maintenance, however at GZ, with very accurate coordinates we found the original log, all in place and with plenty of dry clean paper.
It is a camouflaged pre-form. The names in the log sheet go back to 2019, and we have added our name also.
The only thing we have added is a small clip lock bag to help keep everything dry.
All good here.
Thanks bubblensqueak
Maintenance and reviewers notes can be removed.

A 2 month/11,000km road trip up north to Darwin, where it’s a lot warmer than here, Mrs Boomajarril & I packed up the caravan, geo-dogs, and left the 9°C cold weather behind.
So many places to look, so many hidey holes to hide a cache, and for snakes to hide in too. Too hard in the scrub, rocks, and exposure to the possibility of snakes. Another time perhaps.

After a helicopter ride to admire the lovely Katherine Gorge we decided to drive up as far as we could, which wasnt really that far and admire what we could of the Gorge, well we needed the little bit of a hike to see something other than the expanse of water at the end of the road.
The higher we got the better the view, it was quite warm by the time of day we got to the Gorgeous Gorge view so we decided this would be as far as we went with our hiking. We just had visions of not having the stamina to return to the car haha.
Thanks for the cache bubblenspqueak, found, signed and replaced. TNLN

Raced up and over to GZ. Awesome views. here. made the find soon after climbing all over the rocky area. TFTC.
Did not find it! And I did not read kombikid89 comment of 19 Sep 2019: Description needs updating with new cache though. No longer an ammo box.
Small, camo tube. Hint needs updating. No longer in rock crevice. Would say on top on a rock peak.
Or CeeJayDenno of 15 Nov 2020: who said: The cache isn’t “REGULAR”. It is now a camo’d tube (same size as a white board marker)...
This took me ages to find as I was looking for something much larger.
Don’t go looking for a regular size.... read the logs first... maybe try moving some rocks.
Here’s a pic I took of the empty crevice at GZ.

That was disappointing not to find this cache. Three sets of eyes and just about every rock checked and turned. View was awesome though.
Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I hope to grab a few caches along the way.
Today we spent it out at the Gorge. Meet up with Earthlight and The X-Trailers while finding this. After taking in the lovely view, we had to then start searching for this one. Found after about 15 mins search, well covered with rocks and not a ammo tin but a sports drink container. Happy to say that it is still here.
Thanks bubbleensqueak for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it

Ran into (Happy Feet )today so walked together part of the trail. They located before The X-Trailers and I today as a few more eyes looking made for easier find. So many places to find a cache.
Was not a large however.

Seems a few have been unable to find and the satellite was a bit iffy. Absolutely loved the view and sunset though so worth it either way!!!
Walked out here this morning by myself. The gorge is spectacular as the sun hits it in the morning and it is so quiet. TFTC
Great walk to GZ, however definitely no ammo tin here. I think it's been moved or replaced. Cheers.
This was hard. I had walked so far in the heat that my legs were wonky, despite being pretty fit for a 64 year old and drinking lots of water. Fortunately muggle husband was on the job and managed to unearth this one. Great view from here.
Out for a big walk today with friends whilst we spend a few days in Katherine. Great to be able to also pick up a few caches along the way.
We did 19km all up and visited some amazing spots.
Stunning view from here. Pretty tired by now.
A FP for sure
Cache in good condition.
Thanks bubblensqueak

We found GZ and then had a huge look for this one, lifted many rocks, looked in every crevice. We must have overlooked one spot though, because we came up empty handed. A nice walk and a lovely view made it worthwhile
An early-ish walk up the stairs to the lookout where a film crew were making a movie for NT tourism. I was not going to be put off and go back down without finding this cache! I did what geocachers do and followed the arrow to GZ. What I found was not an ammo tin but a smaller type of cache container. Log signed and replaced where found. A fav for the location!

TFTC. On our epic journey from Brisbane via Daintree to Darwin down the centre to Uluru, Adelaide and then back via Great Ocean Road.
Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving around in the Kakadu NP.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'bubblensqueak' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Gorgeous Gorge' and for the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

From october 16 to november 6 2019, my wife (lp.dk) and I visited Australia for the first time.
After a flight of more than 20 hours, we landed in Darwin. After 2 nights in the city we continued in a rented car first towards Kakadu National Park and later towards Alice Springs.
In Alice Springs we were picked up in an off-road bus and went on a 3-day trip into the wilderness, with overnight stays in a tent close to Uluru.
Back in Alice Springs we drove all the way to Adelaide, from where we flew to Sydney, where we visited our son who has settled there.
After 5 days in the city, we flew back to Singapore, which we visited for 2 days before the final flight back to Copenhagen.
In total, the trip lasted just over 3 weeks.
On the trip we would like to find / visit as many Earth caches, Virtual and Webcams as possible, but also the other kinds of caches when possible.

From 23.09 until 24.11.2019 Stadibast and I spent our holidays in Australia.
During the first four weeks we drove with a camper van from Darwin to Perth along the West coast and its amazing national parks, in which we made several hiking tours.
After that we flew to the wonderful green Tasmania for a roundtrip lasting two weeks.
For the last three weeks we went back to the continent and followed the South-East-Coast from Melbourne to Sydney.
We had impressive nine weeks in Australia, in which we hiked through various national parks, visited interesting sights and met many friendly and helpful people.
Thanks to all owners for setting and maintaining their caches.

Arrived last night at the entrance of the park, we had only to walk early this morning to visit the waterfall and the gorge of Katherine. We put the swimsuit in our backpack with two liters of water. The two liters were drunk but the swimsuits were not used since the waterfall was dry and the small water point at his foot did not encourage swimming ..... Superb hike made in four hours under a sun that began to be very very hot. Thanks to the installers for the work done. Hello from France. ********************************

Found the cleft in the rock right on GZ - but nothing there. Tried lifting and checking a few likely crevices but still no go.
Beautiful place. Went to see the sunrise. ️ Too bad didn’t find the cache this time
We traveled through Northern Territory for four weeks. We started the journey in Alice Springs and drove to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and then to Kings Canyon, Rebank Gorge, Glen Helen Gorge, Ormiston Gorge, back to Alice Springs, to Devils Marbels, Katherine, Katherine Gorge and then further on to the north. On the way we found some caches.
We arrived here in the evening and walked up to the look out. We looked for the box a very log time. We found a red snake!
Ich habe das Gefühl, hier jeden Felsen persönlich zu kennen, so lange haben wir gesucht. Fast wären wir auf eine rote Schlange getreten (s. Foto). Natürlich haben wir auch noch den Sonnenuntergang genossen. TFTC!
