Words can not even begin to express my feelings of gratitude and elation! However I will try to get the message across.
Thank you to the Pprass's for organising such a brilliant event and taking me under your wing in the big wide world of Geocaching. I think everyone had an absolute ball. I felt so welcomed by everyone and was very excited to meet the people who's names I so often read in log books. I loved all the geocaching conversation and hearing about all your experiences and travels. I learnt many new geocaching skills from my team members the Lightsaberlodge family, a very big thank you guys for being such great partners and for sharing your caching knowledge. I still cant believe we came in first, as I felt more a hinderance to your expertise than a help. Thank you too Browngang for offering to help me with setting up my first and very sentimental cache to hide. I feel that I have made some great new friends and look forward to seeing you all at our next event together or hopefully sooner in town somewhere. Please stay in touch with me everyone.

P-prass and C-prass Thank You both for organising a great weekend.

The event itself was well planned with great activities and ideas to help 'break the ice' when meeting new people and getting to know more about those you do know!!

The caching race was great, getting the adrenalin pumping! We were teamed up with Rocketbabe -who is keen as mustard to find a many caches as possible in that time frame - we are glad RB was our motivation to accumulating the finds and the points, as we a had a fabulous time on the journey around the Camden Haven.

The evenings would have to be my highlight, as sharing in the great company around the camp fire seeing stars shinning (the ones up in the sky), the roos hopping around and the kids forming great friendships, as well as the generousity of spirit (or wines) that the cachers displayed.

TFTE (Thanks For The Event) just doesn't seem to cut it!

We were a bit unsure about how this event was going to pan out in the days leading up to it purely as it weather forecast was for rain, rain and more rain. That wasn't to be luckily and it turned out to be a "cracker" of a weekend.
It was great to see all the kids getting on like a house on fire, meeting new faces and catching up with some more familiar. This was a great weekend and we all had a terrific time, even though there was a few headaches around on sunrise both mornings[B)].
Thanks for the effort in organising this event as we really enjoyed every aspect of it. LOVED IT. THANKS AGAIN.
Cheers from the Browngang

Thanks for organising an awesome event Peter and Cat.

The activities were well planned, the kids got on very well, the weather and location was excellent.

We met a lot of cachers that we have seen logs previously and visited their caches so it was fantastic to finally put a face to the names.

It was also great to sit around the campfire on both evenings to exchange stories and experiences.

It was also great to get back into camping again Smile

Once again, thanks for an excellent event pprass Big Grin

It is so gratifying to see people who have a common interest get along so well. The weather helped a lot we suppose, but more to the point it was the attendees who really wanted to socialise and have some fun. The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves and we could see parents with smiles on their faces as they watched their little ones also socialising and wanting to push the boundaries as to where they could go unattended - no there are tiger snakes out on that track at this time of night and you can't go to the lookout right now!
Thanks to all who attended and for making it such a wonderful event - your participation in the games and willingness to join in was much appreciated.

Hi Peter and Cat,
Thanks for the reminder for the event. I do hope to get along if even only for a little while.
Unfortunately it clashes with the opening weekend of the Soccer season as well as a visit from family who are stopping over on the way to North Stradbroke.
This is one of our favourite destinations and we often camp here during School Holidays and I'm sure everyone will enjoy the location.

24-Mar-11
Thanks for the invitation. Not sure whether can make it or not at this stage but perhaps will see you there on the Sunday.

20-Mar-11
Hoping to attend but will arrive in time for evening meal and do some caches next day. Havn't met any other cachers yet so looking forward to that.

01-Mar-11
The Browngang can't wait for this, as Diamond Head is our favourite campsite. We will be going down on the friday afternoon with our van (2 adults and 2 kids). There isn't much caching left for us to do around here but the camping will be greatCool. And yes, there are lots of caches with spectacular views around this part of the Camden Haven. See you all there.
