Nice hide, very busy road, but enjoyed the walk while we had to stop at the dumpstation nearby!Lid is missing, turned the tube upside down hoping it will keep water out.TFTC.
Tftc. Put some plastic and a stick ontop to try to protect it as it had no lid.
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are on the road again, up "North" to visit family an friends. Today was a trip around Whangarei. The odd torential downpour and sunny skies!Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Nice ride around the wetlands, but no active caches there (I could find) so this is a win.
There's a lot of caches I haven't signed off here in Whangarei and this one of a bumnch in this area.Cheers for the cache. the observer.
I got to introduce the Kamo Pippins and Brownies to Geocaching while exploring the Wetlands. We had some very interested girls and parents asking questions about Geocaching, so hopefully we have some new cachers coming.
The skies were a charcoal grey… quick find thanks to good coords and hint. Nice mounting, thanks the observer*, signed as
Day 2 of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the East of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and some Old School Caches. We signed the log as BBIC for Bruzie, BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
Quick and easy find. Like the little man made funnels nearby. T4TC

09:42 Day 2 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
Another much appreciated quick find.
TFTC the observer* for placing this cache, number 11908 for me.

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day four, touring around Whangarei via Cape Reinga. In the company of barefootguru, InfoFerret, and CrystalFairy. Signed logs as "BBIC" for brevity.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC

Was up in Whangarei for the day and came for a walk round here cos we haven't been here for years and this was the last one in the circuit. Nice quick find. TFTC
Nice wee walk around
Also nice easy quick find
Still nice and dry thanks for the walk

Quick park and grab on a Sunday arvo. Road was still partially busy but nice spot in the shade. TFTC
The dogs in the pound looked so sad as we signed the log. One was barking to get our attention while the other just stared forlornly at us. I hope they find happy homes. The cache itself was a quick easy find
Nice little place for a walk around the wetlands. Initially thought I had to climb the fence, but no. Quickly located cache and signed the log. Onto the next one in this area
#10,559. I have been away on a ten day road trip which has taken me from Wellington to the Far North and back home to Wellington. Of course geocaching was a major focus of the trip and hence I have sheets of papers with the caches I visited to write up logs. I made a few brief notes to help me remember the majority. It was a long hot summer road trip and a memorable one as I have now completed the first geotour and made good inroads into the second tour.
Today I am heading north on a 2 day trip to try and pick up most of the northern geotour caches. Its another super hot summers day. Doing a short stop in Whangarei to pick up some adventure lab stages. Decided to stop here and grab this one on the way into the city. Nice quick find. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks the observer* for hiding it here. Not sure that is a song I have heard before today.

Found it quite difficult to access from the pond side. Defineately recommend access from roadside. TFTC
We set out early to find a few caches before returning home after a weekend in Whangarei. A quick find here of the cache thanks to the detailed hint. We quickly completed the formalities here and departed the area, as there was a noisy dog barking at us from across the road.
Enjoyed a short walk around the trail here, and a couple of caches as well, nice hide, cheers
Nice easy find, we came at it from inside the fence as we were walking around but still easy to access. Tftc.
North Island Campervan trip Day 8
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night I was able to spend the night catching up with friends in Kaiwaka before setting off this morning to head up towards Russell in the Bay of Islands. I haven't been there in over 30 years, and was really looking forward to being there again. In the end I didn't quite get that far today, ending up spending a great night near a beach in Whale Bay.
The first part of my day way to be a casual drive up to Whangarei, making a point of stopping at as many caches along the way as I could, including this one.
I was able to park up and walk over to this one without any fuss. The cache itself only took me a moment to locate and finding no issues with the cache or the log I quickly added my name to the sheet and then was back on my way again.
Thanks for setting this cache up.

Nice fun easy one. Probably look silly standing on the roadside counting branches *dogs at the pound bark at you so dont look too suspicious might attract someone to come see what you're doing* photo for reference. No spoilers
this was a last minute trip away to grab some geotour caches up in Northland, and the odd one here and there, weather was great back the day we headed home, thanks to all the COs for the placements and the enjoyment I had finding them.
Kayaked up the river to get these caches in the area. Got in from inside the park. Nice holder for the container. Thanks for the hide
A day of caching in my old home town. Thanks to the explicit hint this was a handy park and grab late in the day. Cheers.

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

This was a nicely constructed cache. Even though it is quite simple, it keeps the cache from wandering about. TFTC.
After 2 DNF's we were getting hungry to locate our daily cache and this one did not disappoint - TFTC
Back in the hood for a few hours and passing this spot. This time a quick find of a nicely constructed and placed cache. Thanks for the cache maintenance and placement *the observer*

We did find a strap (and not in a very good hiding spot either) but no cache today. Not 100% sure it isn't here as there is mention of the good camo but we couldn't locate it.
TFTC... very nicely camo'ed cache... and quite well suited to the pooch theme. Have added a new piece of paper inside a snaplock bag as log was full.
Very sad seeing the poor furbabies across the road who continued to whine and bark as if to say "take me home please"... if only I could it would make today, and the cache even more perfect!

Cache was on the ground but still well hidden. Easy find while being watched by the dogs across the road. TFTC.
The cache was found relatively quickly as knowing what to look for made it easy. Good camo, quite a fitting doggy cache for the location. Good to get this to keep up my streak.TFTC
