No luck on this one. There appears to have been some recent gardening work and weather damage to this park. Hunted widely for quite a while but eventually had to call it quits.
This cache MAY need maintenance (or it could just be that we didn't look in the right place). There is evidence of recent gardening work and damage to trees etc as a result of the wild weather.
Found on our "Making Memories" Tour of Mainland Australia.
Today we explored Buffalo, Stony Creek and Leongatha using geocaching as our guide.
We found some angry birds and well cammoed caches amongst our finds and we would like to thank all cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Found on a warm and sunny but very windy day. As I approached GZ the location of the cache was obvious without really looking. The container was covered with a large mound of bark and twigs - being fully exposed out in the open and close to the highway I was surprised it hadn't already blown away or been found by curious muggles. It's a really nice park so thanks know-mads for bringing me here. I would suggest re-positioning the cache to a more secluded, sheltered or safer spot. SL.
Found thrown on ground 3 mtr from gz. Kids had built a branch and twig lean to at gz. Replaced under light coverage but probably needs a new home.

During our vacation Down-Under in Australia, we were travelling and visiting the South-Eastern part of Australia.
Today we have visited the Wilsons Promontary, which is a very nice National Park.
Back in Leongatha, where our hotel is for tonight, we had a dinner and afterwards we passed the location of this cache, so we had to stop and search for it.
It was a pitty that it rained a little, but we found the cache quick and after logging, we went
on to the hotel.
know-mads, thanks for this cache by this Dutch team.

We had to drive to Leongatha so we thought it would be a chance to collect a few caches, however the rain thought different. Managed this one between showers (sort of) but became discouraged. Made a weak try for another but as there was a young woman driving around in a camper van obviously geo-ing and waiting for us to disappear we decided to give her a clear field so we left for home.
Regarding Pa's cache I found it with the lid ajar and in a very insecure position although covered and with only one die.

Day 4 of wilco and red tag's Moto GP tour of Melbourne.
Dusk was falling and the local teens were being destructive in the park. There was enough cover to find, log and return this cache without being spotted.

Cache in excellent condition. Left two coloured mini dice. I felt sad this cache only contained the log & no swaps. TFTC SL
Cache was out in the open. Contents in good condition. I placed back at co-ords with cover. Thanks for bringing me to the pretty gardens.
We walked straight to the spot where we thought this cache was then our GPS started bouncing all over the place. Luckily we used our geo-senses instead and made the find. TFTC
Bit of a wander as the road is now a park!!! Also didn't help we had a new leader who tried to take the green dot to the blue one rather than the other way!! Log book getting full so a new one soon would be a good idea! TFTC
The weather continued to be amazing for our holiday.
We jumped on the bikes again for some of the trails and did lots of walking to others.
Some of these caches were so cool to find, and the scenery is amazing.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides down here.

Found 3:24pm , find # 2129
Today Pam and I went down to The Prom to move one of my oldest caches at the request of Parks Victoria, as the area it was hidden in had become affected by Cinnamon Fungus after the floods a couple of years back.
On the trip down and back, 9 caches were found, this being number 7..
A very easy find.
This is a micro not a small, so searchers should take this into account.
Thanks know-mads.

We are having a day out with friends caching in Leongatha. There are 10 of us all together and we are hoping to find heaps of caches. Thanks for this one.
This was a nice little spot not far from a little park. The GPS was right on the money so an easy find. TFTC
Turned off the main road to find some shade to park under in the side street and walked over the nice little park to GZ. Was looking in all the obvious spots for a 'small' size cache, but eventually found what I'm pretty sure is considered a 'micro' sized cache in a neat little hiding spot. Signed log and returned it before continuing on my day's caching around this area.
Fiiiiinally! From Yarram to here I attempted at least 6 and failed all due to the high muggle activity at each and every damn spot! Thank u very much for a cache that's hidden from the main area.

After an hour on the rad from melb down to Welshpool, stopped here for a quick stroll and stretch of the legs. Cache was on the ground in plain view, rehid it. SL
My card did not fit to the reality. But the coordinates were good and so it was an easy found.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Germany.

Leisurely find on my way to TAFE. All the kids were on their way to school, so completely muggle free. SL TFTC
My third find on a quick pass through 'gatha this arvo. Found quickly, in the first place I looked - surprised me coz I was only half-heartedly thinking it would be in that spot! Nice little park, I bet the neighbouring kids love it. SL TFTC

A nice straightforward one, though it did take a bit of scratching around initially! All is in good nick. Tnln tftc!
Found by Mrs E at 1600. Involved a bit of hunting and searching which paid off. TNLN TFTH.
Finished job in leongatha and on to the next job in meeinyan but still made time for some caches. Sl thanks Know-mads for the cache.

Nice easy find - in fact it was in plain view with nothing covering it. Left it less exposed. Thanks for the cache.
There are lots of pretty little parks hidden around Leongatha. Most of them seem to have a cache hidden.

We saw the treehouse as we walked into this park. I did smile, as I can remember doing this sort of thing too a million years ago. We were looking for a slightly larger container, so were surprised when we found this one. Some gorgeous trees in this park, such a peaceful place.

Another park in the Gatha. This one had a couple of beautiful shady trees that kept the hot sun from frying us. Cache found safe and well. Thanks know-mads for the search.
YEAH - joint find with Jimmymaff on January 4th
This is the fourth park we have visited in Leongatha today. I hadn't realised that there were so many restful and peaceful places in one town - Leongatha is very lucky to have so many - SPLASH, Mary Checkly, Start of Rail Trail and Pa's (Parr's) as well as Tania Park which was visited on our last exploration of the South Gippsland area.
The trees are simply stunning in this park - my fingers are crossed for them lasting for many more years.
Took: nothing Left: nothing Thanks know-mads for the Cache - we've enjoy the Parks and Reserves of Leongatha

Heading down to Wilsons Prom for the week. Stopped by here for a playground break and a quick cache. Very extensive tree house at GZ - I was most surprised to find that the cache was not muggled! Brave hide. TFTC
A quick stop to give the kids a run and playground break. A few minutes away from their DS games should be good and there's a cache here, bonus! TFTC

Headed out tonight with C@H for a night caching run across to Leongatha.
As we parked the car the rain started to get a bit heavier so we quickly made our way over to GZ where there was a really cool tree. Quick search and the cache was in hand, log signed and back to the car.
Thanks for the hide.

Thanks to the UMP for updating co-ords cache has been replaced and moved hopefully it won't be Muggled again
Searched for some time - wonder if this one has been muggled - or it was that our eyes were painted on by this time of the day!!
Well it was already late morning, when the call came from Slink1 and we were off on another caching run from Marysville to Warbuton. We had a lot of fun on another road trip caching as we went. Quick find TFTC SL
Nice sunny Sunday and yet again it was late morning before I called Dunko and Bright Beavers for a arvo of caching fun down Gonefishen07's way had a good time on the road trip doing this run quick find at GZ TFTC know-mads SL
We pulled up here with the freezing wind still blowing and were happy to see that we were the only stupid ones wanting to make use of a park in such cold weather. It was good to see that the cache was hidden a little distance away from the play equipment and it was located in the second place we looked.
Thanks know-mads for the cache and for a bit of local history

Still in the direction of home we stopped for a quick cache and a swing. An easy find but I did admit to using the clue after spending some time about 15m away. Next stop - Coal Creek

Found by Mary & David at 0800. Our first for a new day after staying in Leongatha overnight. Lovely sunshine already, but not a soul about. Spotted the container as we arrived at GZ. A magnificent grevillea nearby. Our thanks to know-mads.
Easy find, lovely day to be out and about. Thank you!

I thought this was going to be yet another DNF in Leongatha, but after much mucking about in the garden (for future cachers, it's unnecessary to look under any of the plants), eventually turned it up. Thanks for the cache.
