Logs
This one is definitely gone. Gorby and Rusty had been here before and knew where it should be but alas it was not to be found
Spent some time here with 5 pairs of eyes trying to track down this cache but no luck. There has been some gardening work done in this area recently. Will add to watch list.
Cache may have been compromised..DNF. alot of bush cutting and clearing done at GO. Please advise
Found while out for a bike ride. Hard to be inconspicuous while with a bike and all associated gear.
Surprised that we had to leave the beaten track to find! harisree spotted the cache in its hiding place, and I stretched/climbed a little to retrieve. Maybe Gorby provided the pen, and rebel98 (+ other harisree member) was lookout for muggles
Thanks for the hide, amazing old tree. Long Bay is just beautiful!

We had a fair idea of where we were heading with this cache. So Mrs harisree bowled on in and found the cache with no hesitation! Only thing is she couldn't reach it, so rusty had a go and eventually nudged it to the ground. The younger harisee looked inside many of the caches to see what toys she could have if mummy allowed her! Lots of fun had today.
Today we had an awesome day of caching with fellow cachers rebel98, rustynz and gorby. it turned out to be very productive and full of fun.at the first place, mrs.h was expecting a trial, which may lead to the cache, from the other side, but no, ha ha. waited for the group to join, the head straight to this on. surprised by the height as we and gorby are too short to reach this. rustynz did the climb and we all signed the log. tftc.
Spending a Sunday afternoon in long bay looking for some caches. I'm a bit overdue with logging these caches.
Nice cache.
Nice cache.
Nice hunting. Thanks. Log book still full, could do with someone adding some paper (I'll need to remember to take some spare in future)
Quite a straightforward find. Left a flipbook. Needs a new piece of paper as the log is getting full.
Out with my grandma doing a few caches around long bay.
No luck with this one
Lovely walking track

This was our final cache for the day and boy were we happy to finish. We were hot & sweaty and looking forward to a cold one so glad that this was a quick find. Nice cool spot too finish off with
Last one got the day! Out with beconaze and have completed the trail - felt a lot longer with the hot humid weather so looking forward to a cold reward at the end. This was an easy find - TFTC
So many memories! Spent most of my misspent teen years down here. Contents all dry and in order. Left a TB. TFTC.
A little tricky , but found with Ric today while at Long Bay ! Thanks Zork .....
Took a bit of looking around, but managed to get it in the end. It is a lovely area at Long Bay
Yes, a little thorny but easy cache to find. Thanks to my husband for being here... I couldn't reach it...!
Found with mikayla.snook. Great little trek off the main path but well worth the find. Tftc!
Found while out for a walk with Mrs McMike2012 on Labour Day Monday ... weather forecast wasn't looking that good before we started but it ended up being a pleasant day, albeit with a cool breeze blowing in exposed areas. 1st of 11 caches for the day. Bit of a tramp through the long grass to get to this one but easy enough. TN:LN:SL. TFTC. #643 for us.
Found on the ground rather than head height. Replaced in likely location. Nice wee stroll

Out for a day of caching with Lycurgon, had tried to come down to Long Bay a few weeks ago but traffic was horrendous . Much better today thankfully TFTC
Nicely hidden cache and a quick find - Located this on an early morning walk around the area.
Hopefully not logged twice as I had difficulty with log via mobile app, with variable reception at the time.

Last on for the day. This is a great park and worthy of exploration. Cheers for the cache.
A little detour off the trail and nice and straightforward to find. I covered it up with twigs, leaves and ye old telltale bit of bark
Out with my sister soaking up the sun, trying to put a dent in some of the long bay caches. This was the first of 9.
Quick find. After reading the logs I was a little scared of getting my feet wet but everything was dry today. Didn't take the most direct route in but I got there in the end.
Looks like someone has been using GZ to host parties, empty bottles on the ground and logs arranged in a circle .

By now we were seriously flagging drained by the humidity and lack of physical fitness (too many mince pies). But we did muster the energy to find this cache which was just were it should of been!! TFTC
Found cache on the ground - all good, dry and intact. Replaced in the most logical place. TFTC
Found while enjoying a massive walk in the area. Thanks for yet another hide Zork V.
Guess you are a bit taller than me!! Looked all over before tilting my head back slightly and OH, THERE IT IS! TFTC
Good one for the kids - especially if they like to climb trees! Thanks for the cache..!
Was up in Auckland for the mega and popped out to collect some caches in the area. This cache was easy to find because of the huge number of cachers in the area. Thanks for another cache and getting me out and about. I had a great time at the mega and these caches added to the experience.
Found it on Sunday, taken a while to log it. (We're new to this). Took a bit to work out where to go but found it easily when we got there.
Taking time to relax at Long Bay, finding many of the caches on walkings trail in the area. A beautiful warm sunny day without the crowds of the long weekend. We virtually had the Bay to ourselves with only a few walkers & joggers around at any point in the day. Thanks to all the COs for placing a series of caches at this lovely location, to which geocaching has brought us to spend more time at.
Our stats for our leisure caching stroll around Long Bay : Total of 24 finds, only a couple required more hunting around, but had 3 DNFs. [B)]

I'm visiting from Melbourne for the New Zealand Mega which means finding lots of caches and coming here especially to find this one - the whole experience has been fantastic. The weather has also been much nicer than back in Melbourne and that has meant long hours starting early and caching late into the night and not getting much sleep in between. I had spent many hours in the lead up to my arrival in New Zealand preparing an itinerary of caches, solved puzzles and places I wanted to visit and I'm pleased to say I completed just about everything I had planned. For the places I didn't get to visit, well that just means I'm gonna come back. I've seen stunning sights, walked lots of kilometres (and driven even more) met some great people and made new friends which has been awesome.
Thanks Zork V for bringing me here and for adding to my positive experience.

A lovely walk with skullracing, coruze and troobloo to collect some caches in the area. TFTC ZorkV
A great coastal location with excellent walking, reminded me quite a bit of QE II Park back home. I thoroughly enjoyed the trek and finding the caches along the way. Really great to see so many people enjoying themselves out here in the sunshine today. Cheers and TFTC
Found with the Seagnoid on a pleasant evening walk after the MEGA sunset event, thanks Zork V.
A few of us Aussie's banded together to make NZ a hyper of activity! Accompanied by team Skullracing, Troobloo and Kiara001 we randomly picked caches to do so we weren't stuck in one particular area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in NZ with the different variety of caches and some really unique ideas.
Team SNAFU formed consisting of Coruze, Kiara001, Skullracing and I
to tackle some of the caches whilst attending the NZ Mega.
To have a look around we put on our radar caches Nth, Sth, East and West.
It was the greatest of pleasures to wander without the fear of snakes.

#4964 We had a lovely meander around the area after the Mega Sunset BBQ earlier in the evening. However the cache finding exercise became a little quicker as the evening progressed and we realised, in our party of 7 cachers, not one of us had a torch (we would never have passed Girl Guides or Scouts ). By the time we had arrived at GZ it was 8.37pm and our caching had nearly become a "cache by feel" exercise. Thankfully we were able to locate this good sized cache - our last for the day. Probably just as well because we arrived back at our geomobiles to find them boxed in by some local youths - somehow we think if we were any longer out on our meander things could have been very different. Once we surfaced, they took off..... We were keen to head back to our accommodation for a debriefing over some quiet lemonades. Our thanks to Zork V for the cache and fun. Cheers [^]
Day 8 of our Mega roadtrip to Auckland. A nice quick find with my Big Brother (nicknamed RAYMONDO by abl973) on a walk back to the event after grabbing some more caches for the day. Thanks for the cache

[green] Here with edvern after the Barbecue and Sunset Event after a glorious? Frtantic? Busy? two weeks caching centered around the Mega event. It's all over! Last cache! I didn't think to turn on the cell phone - if I had I would have discovered a bunch of new caches quicker and easier to get to (although We would probably have done this one anyway).
All Over? Heck no! I don't get home for another two weeks!!!

Found during the Mega weekend. The weather turned out to be much better than expected, and we enjoyed exploring all the walkways, nooks and crannies. Many thanks to all the owners of the great caches we found.
