Logs
Out enjoying some caches with Agazo today, and we headed up this way. I jumped out and added my name to the log before we carried on, TFTC
Unfortunately all we found here was Two-atara's calling card and a Minion toy, both on the ground. There as a pile of very unnatural looking rocks but that's it. I think it's been pilfered.
Found hasn't been found for nearly a year but still there logs very wet and unwritable so put a receipt out of my pocket. Cool minion
Party driver with some time after doing the drop-off, checked the phone and noticed this one. Thanks for the memory, sometimes these modern gadgets come in handy.
Found in obvious place, had a walk along the place afterwards and was surprised how beautiful it is. Will come back with the family soon for a swim and picnic!
Log too wet to sign, photo attached.

The coords were way off, but clue brought me to the right place. Log is TWTS and needs replacing. TFTC.
A lovely spot of caching.
Thanks to all who have placed and maintain these caches for others to enjoy.

A bit of an explore out this way and then I spotted this cache was hidden here so I just had to come and find it. Thanks to usakiwi and andy.gail for helping me with a reason to checkout this reserve.
A quick find here once I found the entrance to the reserve, which I missed on the way out. TFTC USA kiwi and Andy.gail.
I had an hour and a half or so to head out for a few caches so headed down aniseed valley rd for a handful. Some success, a couple of DNFs, then a couple of ‘ran out of times’. Still a good little trip out and i will be back. Thanks all COs.

In area getting a few caches to up my finds for the day. Very quiet apart from traffic on nearby road. Didnt find to start with but after reading logs widened the search. TFTC
A short walk from where I was staying there were 3 caches so aniseeder, Steve and I went for a walk and found all three. Thanks for the hide.

Cache check - no issues here, dried container, logbook ok.

Oops - a very late log. Was looking for a place for a walk this afternoon (July 2019) and saw this as an unlogged cache. Anticipating it as a new one, I was surprised to see it wasn't, and reviewing the logs I see Tregearp logged it last year after we'd been out for a walk.
Thanks andy.gail for another cache, and apologies again for the late log.

SJT_NZ and I headed off for a walk in the Aniseed Valley, picked this up on way home. A quick find and cache all in good order, TFTC
Yes things have changed. Although I'm still do a lot of things the old fashion way. Cheers and TFTC
Today I was out and about working and had the time to catch up on a few outstanding caches, so it was over the hill for a second time in two days. It was with a tinge of sadness that I realised this would be one of my few remaining cache hides by usakiwi to be found after his recent passing. I have no memories of the days usakiwi refers to as my entry into caching occurred at a much later time when technology was well established and taking a phone (all I have ever used) to the cache site gave me all I needed. So thanks usakiwi for the cache and your memories of a time gone by.
Nice area. Never been up this valley before and much enjoying the scenery. Thanks for the memories.
Wow this place gets our vote as the best picnic place around. Thanks for the memory and the cache !
Gorgeous spot, shame it's not found more often .
Cache container a bit wet inside but log book ok .

TFTC. We were spoilt today when me and the kids found this cache with 2 trackables in it.
nice area too.
nice area too.
Nice easy find - this was the first time we have been into this reserve - but it won't be the last tftc
The gate was closed across the entrance but a short walk and this was an easy find.
In Richmond for a wee family holiday. Mr TG grew up here; staying with family.
Another hot day; spent the morning at Rabbit Island and then this afternoon headed up the Aniseed Valley for a swim in the river. Quick find and sign along the way. Cheers.

Found with Dr.Davis. No longer in camo, screw top container however looks to be safe and sound. Nice easy cache in a fave location. TFTC!
One of several finds as we enjoyed another glorious winter's afternoon. So much quieter than in the height of summer so we could enjoy the tui that were in full song!
Another day trip into the Nelson region with the Aniseed Valley trip through to Hackett Track top of my list of must do caching days, for now. Backed up with a trip to the Grampians up to the Lookout it had all the ingredients of a successful days caching; 2 Earthcaches, a few puzzles, 2 possible new D/T combos to try and advance the grid filling a bit more, and a smattering of Traditionals to keep the numbers ticking along nicely. Back in the co-pilots seat was the Seagnoid also hoping for a couple of unique D/T combos, we'll see later if he was successful or not. A nice early 0700 start as we've lost a bit of evening light already so making the most of daylight hours when they are about.
Replaced this missing cache with a 'small' systema I'd brought along for the job, hope you don't mind.
A good trip remembering caching of old, true, sheets of printouts, manually loaded coordinates, not much choice of finds.....happy days

[green] On a geocaching road trip with capperz, except that we spent most of the time walking . I love going bush!
But first we had to get there, so a few caches along the way, like this one. Cache hide was easy to find, but the cache itself was missing. Capperz came prepared - he does a lot of research into his trips. I moved the hide about 300mm to make it less visible, still at the foot of the same object. Cache is now back in action!

Suspecting this was muggled, empty drink bottle and fag lighter was found at GZ, along with a tree that matched the hint and a plastic food bag, the sort which may hold a log book. A local contractor confirmed that we were at the correct location. Shame... TFTC!
Couldn't find this today. Spoke to a nelmac guy working close by who said he found a container and re hid it some time ago. He was familiar with geo caching. We found what we thought was the obvious place with the coordinates and clue and an empty snap lock bag near by. I really enjoyed your description and write up on this cache and couldn't agree more. I always carry a small amount of swapables as that just adds to the fun! Great write up, just a real shame it wasn't there.
Found it. Not covered nothing, to easy to find took me 50 seconds. Log book needs repair. I going to hide it at the same place but a bit less obviously. Tftc
Easy find, but had to put the cache in my bag and make a dash for the river when a dog and his human came towards us. After they left we swapped the panda for an elephant from our recent Thailand trip and we're on our way. TFTC!
Ad you gave us a great memory too. Pity it is winter otherwise I would have been tempted by that great swimming hole. Book very damp and messed up. Later came back here for late lunch (about 3pm) and guess what we forgot the bread for the sandwiches.
#7789. Troodles has a better memory for cache hides than I do. Still, I haven't (yet) forgotten where we found this one. TFTC.
Vehicle access to GZ appears to be restricted at this time of year, but it didn't take long to walk after parking by the entrance to the reserve.
Spotted a likely hiding spot on approach and was soon rewarded with a cache. After failing to find the previous cache we had looked for, it was nice to have an instant find and a nice sized one too. Looks like this would be a popular area in summer, but just a tad chilly today. TFTC.

Today did feel a bit like a trip down memory lane for one reason or another. Although I havent stopped here before I will now add it to the memories for future trips. TFTC

I found this cache out with my Dad (Biggles) and dog (Fozzie). It was a nice quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache, Flying Phoenix.
After a muggle almost sitting guard at the Frank n Furter cache we moved on and located this cache without to much trouble. TFTC
This was an easy find after not being able to even begin to hunt for the cache at the other end of the reserve. TFTC.
Before knowing about the cache I suggested integersmirk to go out for a picnic and geocache a bit before we get too busy with bubs arrival. This was our picnic spot what a lovely and peaceful place. Found the cache using our good old Garmin legend. Thank you
Ahhhh, my favourite subject... Things change, huh? Used to be that you could introduce anyone to geocaching by showing them any cache. These days, you better look hard for the right one if you don't want to have to spend ages trying to explain what the point is. Very fond memories of how caching used to be, and the people that made it that way. It's easy to understand why lots of them have quit caching, it is very different now. I recall 100 cache finds in a month being "the most active in Australasia" but it's easy to do that in a day now if you pick the right power-trail and switch off.
We had a great time here, the highlight of my day. TFTC

Nice spot. If we tried walking in the hills it rained so geocaching won as the afternoon's fun. TFTC.
Super easy, saw the hide spot as we drove past Nice sized cache, and good to reminisce about when we first started out geocaching!! Thanks
"Thanks for the cache" A short trip up the valley today, not the best weather wise but generally able to make our finds between showers.

Easy find, but watch out for the cobwebs above the cache. I got them in the face! TFTC
A good old-fashioned hide. Thanks for bringing us here. - - - There are some good swaps hidden here for the little cachers! [:0]
Found by Miss 4 on a school holiday caching trip. Log was quite damp but still signable. TFTC
Have driven past this on a few occasions but have never had the time to stop. This afternoon was time to mop up a few outstanding local caches.
An almost too easy find.

I'll add my name to list of DNFs. Seems the river has got very high sometime in the recent past.
Good on the council for keeping the place looking tidy, not much interest in the place today with all the miserable weather we had today. TNLN Thanks
So much traffic on the other side of the hill, yet here it was peaceful as. Thanks for the stop.
Our early days caching was done using a borrowed gps and either printing off the right info or writing it in a notebook wow times have changed and still it is great fun.Tftc
Introduced Timmae to caching. This was his first. Cache was very exposed, so re-hid a little better. Took Geocoin. TFTC from N. Ireland
Enjoying my time in sunny Nelson, picked up some stuff for the house as well.

Well, actually, the after noon was spent with team b&w wandering round with good ol' print-outs ! As one who prefers 'em like this, more a case of thank you. And, thank you for the help you offer us caching lesser-lights now and then. b&w
Nice one!!!!!
A normal cache just like the ones I remember when I first started. Wet today so no picnic

A nice quick find this morning while enjoying the frosty conditions. Thanks for the cache would have stuck around longer but it was rather chilly this morning. Thanks
Most of our caching is still done like this - entering the co-ordinates by hand etc! - enjoyed finding this cache!
Great spot for a cache, lots of memory's from caching in Nelson there's always trip of the drowned CRV
