Hi everyone,
Sorry to say but this one's muggled.
Over the last few weeks, we've had a good look around the hiding place a couple of times.. A lot of the area has changed recently with the development of the Penrith Lakes Scheme effecting the cache area.
We're going to look into a new location or two close by, though with road work and other work nearby and at the site, we can't place at the moment.
However, it'll be back..
Watch this space.

Temporarily disabled due to cache being muggled and the area being under re-development.
Looks like we've been muggled.. I'll drop by with some geo-supplies and see... Probably sometime this weekend. Sorry about the did not finds =(
One of those not uncommon geocaching moments ... I arrived to find another geocacher searching for this cache. We both searched GZ for quite a while (and way longer than one expects on a kid friendly roadside 1.5/1.5 small) without success, leading me to suspect that the cache has walked or been muggled. May be time for an owner check ...
After Heart Series caches area, lucky roadwork area closer to GZ, easy to find as hide very well thanks
I came down here on my bike when I saw the road was open just after the Regatta entrance. I stopped at the end of the road, saw an awesome spot for a cache, then went back into Regatta for a ride and a cache of two. Found that this one was not in the grounds of regatta and eventually found myself back at the end of that road. Seems that is WAS a perfect spot for a cache. Funny thing is that it was not well hidden and I didn't see it the first time, but it was plain as day when I was looking for it.
First find with the kids! Nice a quiet area, love the church and surrounding buildings.
Had this one quickly. It's a shame someone took the trackable and didn't log it! TFTC.
Found it no tb and I hate farmers friends they get everywhere. also found it without going into regatta centre like in another recent log. also a big rowing event on there aswell

After not being able to get in yesterday because of an event first thing this morning we found it
You can get into the church 7 days a week through the regatta centre most days accept when an event is on at the church
Left home early this morning 4:00am, pitch black headed down the thin black line again to Sydney’s Historic West, Especially Richmond and the Penrith areas, Had a little trouble getting to this one due to the construction. But found anyway, Great Cache, TFTC
Everlasting, sevabo and I went to the other caches nearby then it was disappointed when we tried to get access that road but now its block due to the road works and we tried to get through the other road but it is still no luck and when I saw the photos on this and I thought oh no it is really a lovely place to see so I hope in the future we may get through the road once the road works done!
What disappointment that cant access (see pic)... Would love to visit Castlereagh Road and church etc...
Had to access through regatta centre was out in the open so covered up. No trackable found.
Was in the area so thought I'd drop in for a quick find.
Last time I was here, Blundo Buster Jnr broke his arm whilst cycling around the rowing lake.
Thanks THB

Found the cache. Bit damp. Unable to sign log. Will be back when it is a bit drier to sign the log.
TFTH first one for the day.

Picked up Domo Bug, as I want to release him at a different location, the gardening had me concerned.
Also picked up what might be the Geo Coin, trying to log it but am having difficulties with the number.

I had noticed this cache whilst exploring the map of my "local" area and decided what better one to drop off my first trackable in.
So Domo Bug, HAPPY BIRTHDAY and safe travels. Hope to see you popping up all over the place soon.
Took small green car and left some love.
This cache was a little damp. and there had been some gardening occuring close by, might need to keep an eye on it for a little while.

Nice easy gel kiddie find! Toom nothing... Thanks will visit again and add a swappable!
Last day of a SES State Rescue Comp at the nearby Regatta Centre finished up around 1330, so had time for a short detour out the gate to grab today’s souvenir. Too tired to try any others on the way home, so glad of an easy smilie.
Paperwork inside was damp and needs drying. I didn't have much sun light left so couldn't dry them in time.
An easy roadside cache. The old public school nearby is so cute. Cache in good order. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found with adman44 at night, easy find when the gps decided to work, we were there no more then 10 mins and just as I was covering the cache a car stopped up the road for about 10 seconds then did a U-turn, then a few moments later as we were getting in the car and leaving police came flying up, high beamed the area where we were did a U-turn and then followed right behind us but never pulled us over, whole time I was thinking they were going to pull us over and I'd have to explain geocaching and hope they believed me haha. Didn't take anything as we didn't have anything to put in its place, TFTC.
After having found the nearby Heart cache, we continued towards the end of the road.
The cache was quickly located and log signed.

After rain and a muddy approach, with concern at recent 'damage' at GZ. But all was good, with the Cache a tad gritty, though all fine. TFTC

Found while attempting the heart series today. While driving up near geozone we were worried that the cache was going to be on the wrong side of the fence, but luckily it was on the right side and we made the find from in the car. TFTC thehunnybunnys
I was at the Regatta Centre today for district cross-country. I wanted to find the ones over there, but it was too crowded, so Mum suggested I find this one around the corner.
It was a quick find, thank you.
It was a quick find, thank you.
Despite some work being carried out beyond the end of the road, I still managed to find the cache and sign the log without being seen. We have a distant connection to John Lees, founder of this old church.
I used to use this road all the time to get out to Richmond, it was a nice run.
Some people will go on about the Lakes Scheme but all I see is the wholesale removal of Castlereagh, one of the earliest settlements of the new colony of New South Wales. Mining and large scale quarries like this, on prime dairy land within the Sydney Basin is short sighted.
Anyway, I wont rant on anymore on a geocaching log. I will say it was nice to pop out here again and check out the old church and get a pic of the trig.
Cheers.

Found. Was signing the log when a ute screeched to a halt right where I was standing and chucked a u-ey. The driver spotted me straight away looking suspicious while standing in the bushes!
I returned the cache, hopped in my car and drove away. A short distance down the road I spotted the same ute stopped by the side of the road. I suspect that the driver may have been waiting to turn around and check out why I was standing in the bushes!

What a remarkable place. We had never been down this road before and were delighted to find the historic church complex and old public school at the end of it. We found the cache quickly, signed and replaced, then spend some time inspecting and photographing these most interesting buildings and grounds. Thanks thehunnybunnys for bringing us here.
Our third find on Valentine's Day before we had to head back to work. We were very impressed by the well maintained historic church buildings and cemetery nearby. Thanks, thehunnybunnys.
Found quite easily this time. This was one of our very early DNF's that we've now some back after more experience and quite easily found. I think it's because in the Mountains you always look for rocks.

This was the fifth find of fifteen today. I am visiting from Canberra for Christmas and today I went out Geocaching. Merry Christmas. TFTC.
I dropped off 'Miaumi' trackable.
I added this cache to my favourites.

Left work at 3pm today and found this one quickly this time. A little more experience seems to help after my first DNF on this many months ago. TFTC.
There was a wedding at the church the first time we went looking for this cache so came back today for the find. There was a lovely turtle crossing the road as we drove past the Regatta Centre. TFTC.
Found it after a quick bout of tri training at the Regatta Centre. Didn't leave not take anything. TFTC!
Used to love travelling out here years ago. Its changed from beautiful old farms hasnt it.
We exchanged two little trinkets and added some really cool little pieces for kids.
Great cache...Thanks Muggle free today.

Having a day at the whitewater park was alot of fun. It was a great way to grab a few caches in the area....
I'm sure there use to be a cache out here many years ago. Today the place was nice and quiet and the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks

I tried to find my own cache last weekend and couldn't as the muggle population was quite high, a few cars with people in the waiting for something on at the church.... So here's to a self fail
Happy birthday. Nice easy cache love those ones where you can pull right up to. Easy to find.
Used to love this road too it's a shame it was dug up

Reperio at 1645.
I stopped by 'Regatta Picnic' earlier, and as there were muggles preventing me from searching there, I decided to head around to this one while hopefully they would leave. Pulled up and parked within 3m of GZ, which was good as there were a couple of muggles floating around the church, and the 4WD provided good cover. Cache was quickly located. Hope you had a great birthday!

Took our grandson geocaching today. He took the funny bunny. Replaced it with a lovely shell necklace....a lei from Hawaii. Easy find. Nice candelabra across from the church. TFTC.
I remember when once you could keep driving along this road. Ah the passage of time. Found the cache and completed the duties on this sunny winter's morn. Quiet spot.
Back up in Sydney for a few days so had to add a few more smiley faces after being away for seven months.
I cannot get over the number of nano's up this way but this guy was the largest found today and the cache if fine. The CO should place an owner maintenance log and that would get rid of the red cross indicating that the cache has a problem.
Thanks to the hunneybunnys for bringing me back out here as there was a cache across the road some years ago.

Great kid cache as already described.
Left a yo-yo to add to the stash, took TB to send on it's way.

Regatta was on so has to return at night, yes a bit of a challenge in the dark. The TB is a fitting present for a B'day cache.
The cache proved too hard ofr us today. That and there were cars that kept pulling up for the church meeting
Easy find for my son and I, lovely old buildings, we wondered why the road was closed off? Thanks for the cache.
Logging some caches found before I had my own Geocaching profile
