I'm staying in St Arnaud for a few nights and after hiking up to Mt Robert yesterday, decided that today I'd take an easier option and explore some of the trails closer to the village. This cache was found while taking the Peninsula Nature Walk and looping around back into the village. TFTC!
What a great day out, beach deserted and the morning muggle track walk seems to have subdued. Yes a great cache location. Cache all dry and good thanks
We were thinking of going down to this one but decided against it. Getting too old lol
Lovely walk here on a misty morning ?? Thanks beltfamily for all the caches! TNLNSL TFTC
We have arrived in the area today and decided on a walk around the peninsula. It is a bit overcast and did drizzle for a bit on our walk.
We walked straight past this one before I saw some totara and thought the cache should be near. It was back about 50 metres. After a search at a few trees we located it.
Thanks for the cache

2731. Out for a last walk before we leave the area. Nicely tucked away and dry. TFTC!!!
A little morning walk in these beautiful lake views, tftc! Sneaky hiding spot, found it on the way up
First stop of the day in St. Arnaud. Sunny weather and no wind. As we arrived around noon also not to many sandflies. In short, perfect conditions to stroll around and find some caches.
We opted for the Peninsula Nature Walk. Found thanks to the hint and learned to recognise a tree.
Thank you for the cache

Fortunately I had small people with me that I could send up to find the cache first solo find for Kai (7). TFTC
Fifth and last cache of the day with the kids in tow. We thought we'd turn around here before Mr 4 packed a sad. Unfortunately there was still a face plant on the track on the way back.... TFTC
On the way from Motueka to Kaikoura we stop over here for short walk. Beautiful nature and lake live. TFTC
Marvellous weather for the last official week of winter, great afternoon to do the Peninsula walk. And hunt out some caches.
I still can't recognize trees from a distance, but somehow I managed to find this cx. TFTC.
Mr Brunner was certainly influential as he has nany things named after him. This is a beautiful trail, love the beech. Thanks for bringing us here beltfamily
A super quick find as the coast was clear in both directions.
Thanks for putting this here for me to find

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at the DoC Campsite at West Bay, St Arnaud for a couple of days, exploring in & around the local area … we decided to go for a walk from the campsite to St Arnaud & return via the Peninsula Walk … & we thought it would be rude not to check out some caches on the way … found with no issues, signed & replaced … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,396 for us.
We had parked the car near the Buller campground and walked anti clockwise around the lake in two days. So this was almost at the end of our trip and one of these caches that I missed on an earlier walk in the previous year.
Happy for a quick find today, noticed the path that lead me directly to the hiding spot.

A day in the Lake Rotoiti area with a walk around the Brunner Peninsula then the Moraine Walkway. Thanks for the cache.
I made a bit of a mess of this cache search. I didn't realise it at the time but I was in the correct spot to begin with but failed to notice the hiding spot (which is a very good one). After fluffing around for a while, I returned to where I started and saw the container when looking from a different angle.
Catching up with logging caches from our trip last month. Loved our short time here and would love to come back for longer. Great loop walk with awesome views. TFTC
Followed the geotrail to the cache. Took longer than expected to find then I spied it.
Easy enough, obvious tree. Fast find. Beautiful woodlands. All in good order. TFTC
A day trip to St Arnaud, to kick off the start of some elevation for the new set of souvenirs. Added a piece of waterproof paper. Bring your biro now, or pencil, but not gel pen.
Log paper was a little shredded bit still managed to find space for me...might need replacing if someone coming by has a bit of paper with them?
TFTC - a great little hide with another gorgeous view!

Another great find this morning, thanks for taking us off the track to a grand vista. Miss 6.5 did the honour of scrambling, finding, and logging. Pretty pleased with herself as you can see...
Had to skip the earthcache due to muggles so thought I'd get these ones and try again on the way back. Cheers
(# 5456). Today is day 9 of my West Coast trip. Today I am traveling from Westport to St Arnaud. Main goal was the Brunner Peninsula Walk. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
A weekend at St Arnaud with friends with a morning walk to cache. Thankful for patient friends, who walk and wait. Tftc
Found this Cache on our Roadtrip through New Zealand ; -)

Lovely day for a kayak on the lake. #1 for the day. Found with not to much trouble. Tftc.
No problems tracking this one down, TFTC Beltfamily.
Found on the walk between Kerr Bay and West Bay.
Jo had Monday off, so we decided a trip somewhere was in order. St Arnaud or Nelson? We decided on the former and in retrospect were glad we did. The weather in Blenheim was average, but it was not bad up here although we were prepared for the worst.
The target area was Gowan river, the top of Lake Rotorua, Braeburn walk and track and a short walk in St Arnaud on the way home.
A good mix of PnGs and walking ones, 40 or so for the day. Thanks everyone

After arriving early in St. Arnaud we used the time to go for a long walk and to some geocaching. We had an enjoyable afternoon at this wonderful place. So nice to have all those caches here. As we found 17 Caches this afternoon, I will do the same log on al of them, sorry.

Staying with friends at the Lakes overnight and out for an afternoon walk around the peninsula.
It was only after a bit I remembered that I had some unfound caches here so thought to remedy that situation with the help of six sets of eyes.
What are children for if not for sending foraging around bases of trees with some tree identification thrown in.
All good stuff.
Thanks beltfamily

First trip away in the caravan since winter.... a beautiful afternoon so couldn’t pass up a peaceful walk around the peninsula track. Not a muggle in sight on the track - they are all down at the lake edge...leaving me in peace to find the cache.
A wee scramble to this one...TFTC beltfamily

We were gathering all the caches, including 2 new ones, around this track when it started raining on us. We had one new one to get for a challenge so we skipped this and another one and headed for the new one. We had just finished signing that off when the sun peaked out again, so we back tracked to grab the two we missed. After the rain, it was a wet journey to this one. tftc
Paddle chick, my grandaughter and I went caching up the Nelson Lake yesterday and also hope of seeing some snow but it was up on the tops. Paddle chick and my grandaughter found the cache
