As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Hi
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me within Three Weeks, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks for your understanding,
Regards,

Not a pleasant place to stop at all. Rubbishy and more and so dirty it was yuk here. Have looked once before and again today even after reading the list of dnf's. So co should check or archive this!!.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
We biked here, dodging the rain. Hunted high and low at the co-ordinates, but could not spot anything, expended our search and still nothing.
I feel a tad dumb ...searched all over for this real easy find ...but no luck today ...may be I was a bit blurry from the merlot last night ..even extended the search area but no luck ....it's a Shane that it has so much rubbish dumped here ...you could furnish a flat with all the gear laying around
quick and easy find, however, when we tried to re-place it lots of muggles turned up. they were a bit confused of what we were doing there (no, not using the area as a bathroom....).thanks
After planning a trip to the bay of plenty for easter to gather a cache or two, it changed dramatically (we thought) when we heard that cyclone cook was about to bear down on this area our hopes had dropped .
But no almost the complete opposite, so after getting bike and body sorted it was to the start we went and ride the HRT trail, we started in thames and the plan was to ride to te aroha if the body allowed.
Nice quick find here exactly where and how it should be.
Thanks for the smiley and the placement.

A quick stop as we head off for a late January road trip. Heading off around the Coromandel. Tftc
Nice and quiet on a weekday. No muggles in sight. Passing through on the way to hit the Hauraki Rail Trail.
During our holidays in NZ today we travelled from Dargaville to Cormorandel. On the way we stopped to search and find this cache.
Thanks for hiding and greetings from Germany

My final full day in New Zealand after 2 weeks from Australia, visiting my sister in New Plymouth, then the mega event in Turangi, and some touristy stuff through the Bay of Plenty on the way back to Auckland. Today's final leg was the short hop from Thames to Auckland, mainly going up the East Coast Road to spend as much time in the country as possible. I think I actually wrote all logs today accidentally with 29/10/16 however. Oh well.
Initially looked at the wrong sign (the one about the bridge) but on checking the next option cache was quickly in hand. Thanks PhantasmNZ.

Thanks for making us stop here. Interesting info about ancestral markers. Worth a stop!
Easy find today and as expected it needed a new log so we put one in and double bagged it as the cache is missing it's lid. We have the old log should the CO request us send it to them.
06/08/16 12:25 Quick stop. Watch out for broken bottles by geotrail. Thanks, Cheers, GC.
On an overnight trip up to Whangapoua and Coromandel with my friend imcuzz. We were on our way back to the Waikato claiming a few extra smileys here and there... great spot, TFTC
Hinge is broken, quick find
Please excuse the brief log, I have recently had an op on my hand and typing is difficult.
Had a great day caching today with Grump of Granny and Grumps. TFTC

First cache of the day! Gorgeous sunshine. Going to be a great day with my geotwin
1.05pm. A quick find but I had to get a special tool to retrieve it.
Thank You. David.
Thank You. David.
Stopped for this one on the way home to Thames from Hamilton. Nice easy find for me today, bad idea to wear a dress. Thanks for the cache
Couldn't resist a stop, although I had said to the kids this trip to the beach wouldn't take as long as I wasn't caching on the way down, however had to slot one in. Needed the 12 year old with springs in his feet to get this one. TFTC
A nice quick find on the way to start our holiday. Tftc. Love having little stops along the way.

A quick and easy find as we were leaving town. I decided to head back over the new bridge and return directly south from the other end.
Thanks for bringing me here and farewell to Thames for now.

The call went out from TNXPro for the final leg of the HRT we had left to do, so of course I could not miss this opportunity. Had a fantastic day out with TNX, Splatty and his Dad Tony. The weather was amazing and company great. Thank you to all the owners of the caches we found today
Nice quick find here Like these ones at the end of a hard day

November in Europe, the dark month, neighter autumn nor winter: short days, rain, fog. Everywhere unlucky people.
But now we are in NZ. Early sunrise, mighty green and flowers everywhere. Happy cows and sheeps also. We delight look forward to such lovely challenge. Thank you NZ. Greetings from Germany, from the mountains of Harz. TFTC

Over night trip to thames great weather and time to find a cache good hints.
Nice early start to the day and jamned thos one in before starting 309 Rd trail.
Stopped here on our way to Thames today. I think The BFG had been here before me as this was up REALLLLLLLY high and I had to jump as high as I could to get it. Replaced on the other end which was a little more user-friendly for the vertically challenged folk. TFTC
Was interesting to see the new bridge as I remember the wait at the old as a youngster on holiday travels. TFTCes in such an interesting area. On a longer than usual weekend cache trek, with friends, we signed ourselves CNSZ
Found with a geocaching team out for a weekend. Signed as Daytrippers (CNSZ).

On a geocaching weekend with my favourite geo buddies, we hope to get loads of caches this weekend. We've decided to sign the log sheet as - day trippers CNSZ in order to save space on the log sheets. Thanks to the cachers who hid these caches for us to find and make our weekend such fun.
An early morning find in the fog, while in Thames for a clan gathering. Thanks for the cache.
A nice place to stop for a quick break just before we cross the "new" bridge. Thanks for the interesting info on the cache page, and of course TFTC.
Yesterday we made the rash decision to find our 2000th cache on geocaching's 15th birthday, next week, but before then we need to find 77.
Today we are planning to do the Tapu - Coroglen Rd, then down through Tairua and home to Hamilton.
But we weren't planning on this weather, it is wildly wet and windy!
This was our first cache of the day and we were off to a good start with a quick find. TFTC.

Decided to go away for an early start to the weekend and make a real effort on the Coromandel Peninsula, Vistra was up for the challenge of joining me. Vistra had found this previously so gave me a hint, nope not there, searched the area, oh where is it, then stepped back, ah there it is.. TFTC
721 Approaching parking area and large motorhome pulls in in front of me. Sat and had a sandwich and by the the time I had finished they had moved on. Simple but effective hide.
Found on our way back to Hamilton having spent the last week of the school holidays having a great time in Whangamata. Great weather and it’s always hard to leave the beach but we figured we should pack up early and head home before the rest of the holiday return traffic hits the road. Our young teens groaned when I suggested the longer route home via Thames so that I could pick up a few more caches but then agreed on condition that they chose the music for the drive home: a decision I very quickly regretted! By this point, we'd settled on singing along very loudly and very tunelessly to some 80s rock anthems ... 'another bites the dust' seems very appropriate as our cache haul increases
The road was quiet so this was another easy pullover stop. Fire-risk high today ... another hot, hot, hot one With a good hint, and co-ords, the cache was quickly found, signed and replaced. TFTC

Nice easy cache my gps tried telling me to go into neighbouring farm but had in hand in not much time at all
thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found on our way to Thames and Coromandel. We loved the beautiful sights and good caches during this trip! TFTC and greetings from Belgium.
This cache was fairly well hidden considering what it is. It took me longer than I expected but still fairly quick. TFTC.
