We continued today our tour of Queensland and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.Thanks to Wazza&Kara for the generation of this nice cache Creation Windows (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. Walking back to the hotel we passed this cache. After searching for quite a while on the wrong side of the building, we decided to try it on the other side. There it was. The logbook is full. I put my nick somewhere in between.TFTC magicchicken

Auf unserer groen Rundreise durch Australien sind Andy-Cayoon und ich unter anderem auch hier nach Cairns geflogen, um die Stadt und die Umgebung (Kuranda, Great Barrier Reef) zu erkunden. An dieser Stelle konnten wir den Cache recht schnell entdecken, aber das Logbuch muss erneuert werden. Mein Name passte gerade noch in die Ecke. Fr Andy_ Cayoon war kein Platz mehr. 1434 for the tribeWhether you're religious or not the artwork in these stained glass windows showing nature and space, and the peace windows really are something to behold. We came at 4pm when the sun was coming through the horsehead nebula. We loved this cache. Have another well earned FP for bringing us here!

Up in Cairns for School Holidays and a wander around with the Geokids. At GZ a quick find of a container in good condition. TFTC
Great hide. Not too many muggles today, although some tourists asked us for directions to Shangrilas(Were not locals either).They were clueless to our endeavours! Tftcsl.
Easy find during the walk around Cairns. After coming back from Papua New Guinea, where the few caches have few finders and the previous log may have been over a year ago, here the previous log was earlier today. Happy to be back in the land of healthy geocaching.

I was lucky enough to get an invite to come up to Cairns that included some free accommodation for a couple of days, who could resist that? I had never been to Cairns so I enjoyed exploring what areas I could.This is one of the caches found today.Thanks Wazza&Kara for the cache

Apologies for the late logging but I don;t have a mobile phone and can only log when I get back to the UK.I had spooted this before we arrived in Oz and just had to visit. The exterior of the cathedral is not inspiring and we would probably not have gone inside - but the windows are wonderful. Thanks for bringing us here.
Im not sure that its there. Very clear hint and instructions but there is an empty hook there. I could be wrong but that seemed like the spot.Hopefully it hasnt been muggled.

6 July 2024 9:39amFound nice and easily this morning in the very drizzly rain. I was hoping to get a few caches while I was up here for work, but so far the weather hasn't been overly friendly (and I'm not too keen to go out searching in the wet before I need to work).Today, before work I searches the map and this is one of a few which didn't have a string of unfounds so I thought I'd head this way. Raincoat on, follow GPS cache was had in seconds. Looking from the outside in I could see there was stained glass, but it didn't look like anything exciting. I decided to brave my social insecurities and stepped inside the church...I'm speechless. I have never seen anything like that before - absolutely magnificent. A lovely lady stepped away from her meeting to tell me I was more than welcome to spend as much time as I wanted looking at them, and gave me a flyer and a quick rundown of the meanings.I wish I had more time to admire the wonderful artwork.Thank you for bringing me here.A huge favourite point heading this way.
