Hi there know-mads.
We found your cache "Beyond the Track"at 1:51:00 PM today, & this now makes our find count 12667.
Today we chauffeured Gonefishen07 around the countryside as she wanted to do a maintenance run on some of her caches. She's a hard task mistress - we had to find each one without any help whatsoever.
We covered a lot of ground today and found a variety of cache hides, visited an "off grid" totally solar powered house, and even found a cache we DNF'd the other day. When we finished our run we found that we had logged 19 and DNF'd 0 caches.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

This one had us looking for a few minutes, but it was spotted and signed at 11:15am. Nice camo!

This one had us going for a moment or two but thankfully the hint focussed our attention nicely and just as we though we'd better try to catch the others, we spotted the sneaky hide at 11:15.
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks know-mads.

Down Wonthaggi for just a few days, love when you can walk from the caravan park to some caches.
Love the camo on this one... did have me looking for a few minutes.
Cheers for the cache.

Great camouflage, tricky hide. Contents in good condition. Log a bit damp. TFTC
Day three of my trip down the coast for some caching fun! Today I decided to attempt some hides from a variety of cachers and not Gonefishen07 exclusively.
After finishing my first walk of the day and collecting 17 finds, it was time to go on my second walk. After parking at the huge wind turbines at the end of Campbell street, I set off and was able to find 21 of the 26 caches that I set off to find.
Thank you to the CO's for the hides, I had a very fun walk with what was once again a wide variety of caches and hides as the sun went down.
The first DNF of this walk. Had a good look at GZ and it's surroundings but couldn't come up with the goods.

Find #1467
Out for a caching run with Stemicmitsar on Saturday instead of our usual Friday night run. We headed to Wonthaggi to grab a Letterbox and also add to our D/T ratings.
This was an unexpected series that just kept on giving. We stopped here just to do one cache, which was found without too much trouble Steve spotting the hide, but then the next cache was just a little further on, but then each cache was just a little further on.

Found @ 8:54pm, find # 3523.
Out on another caching run, this time on a Saturday with biggles1024.
The main purpose for this run was to pick up a letterbox cache, a D/T and find a night cache, everything else was a bonus.
As there are a lot of caches around this area that we have not found yet so while we were close by, we thought that we would find a few before heading off to our last goal cache.
This was a tricky little hide, after resorting to the hint the cache was then found.
Thanks to know-mads for placing this cache.

[font=Comic Sans MS][Green]I'm heading eastwards on a day caching in and around Wonthaggi with Square_Pegs after leaving Melbourne early this morning before sunrise. Later on, I got the opportunity to find this cache in good condition.
It's been too long since my last visit. Thanks know-mads for making this an enjoyable day exploring

As we had made our way through the tracks, we were right near the other end of the reserve now.
Checking out GZ, we actually went past the hide, but when looking a little harder the camo was spotted.
It is very effective. Thanks to know-mads for this cache.

While enjoying our usual Easter break at Cape Patterson with friends I got a chance to do this walk. I have never been down into this area before so really enjoying a new area to see.
Had a rally good look around and use the clue. There were a lot of forked trees and most had moss on them.
Might try next year again

We enjoyed the walk along this trail - tree cover provided dappled shade on a beautiful warm day. We saw no one else on the trail. The different hides certainly kept us entertained. This was one we were able to find, the clue helped. Thanks to know-mads for placing this cache.
Our last cache for today as we had to head back to Melbourne.
Loved the camo. TFTC

Some things just keep on haunting us and this cache is one of them approached from a different end of the path today but no success.
11.25am 05/01/2014 - 1st find for the day (with dgfb33 & ceebee2013 as escorts)
called by today with geo husband and geo grandson to visit a travel bug "Race fan No. 5" whose mission is to visit as many motor racing venues as possible. Went to the track and took some photos of the TB to add to it's own logs.
Had a great day caching and enjoying the outdoors as usual. Many kilometres put on the geoPatrol to add to the numbers. Now it is a waiting game for the next opportunity to get out again.
Many thanks know-mads for placing this cache.

Thanks for the cache here. Bogonghazy and I enjoyed our 4 days caching around here, just grabbing the last few before heading westwards bound to home.
This was a tough one, but Sully once again came up with the goodies.

With the weather forecast promising us quite a nasty hot day we were out and about by bike fairly early in search of smilie faces. We were a bit carried away with the idea of motocross and actually jumped over this one, before we had the moss at the right angle.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt know-mads.

8.00pm 26/12/2013 - 4th signing for the day (first found with dgfb33 16/10/2013 before being a member so didn't sigh the log - only about another 30 to go to sign them all ...!)
Found on a arvo touring around the area and collecting a few caches along the way, a very pleasant trip and as always we enjoyed where the caching took us along with the hunt. A big thank you to know-mads for the effort and placement TNLN SL
Out with my caching buddy Slink1 revisiting Wonthaggi today picking up some caches we had not had time for the last time we were here. It was a fine sunny day and we had a few laughs and enjoyed the caching.

Found in the rain on a soggy trip back to the car after a FTF at pit-stop. Container was out in the open pretty much right next to track. Luckily, had Youcandoit2 with me and she knew how it was supposed to be hidden. Signed log, everything was intact though a little damp. Then we rehid the cache the way it was when she found it.
A nice, sunny public holiday. Not particularly interested in the GG's, so out caching instead. Quick find. TFTC.

This morning we decided to focus on caches in the immediate vicinity of Wonthaggi and visiting them gave us a far better appreciation of the area. Again it took a little driving around before we found a suitable location to leave the car at walk to the cache. After a short walk, we got to GZ. After a few minutes of hunting we loacted an very well cammoed cache in an excellent hide - a great effort. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. TFTC know-mads and for giving us a reason to visit this part of Wonthaggi.
Found on another fantastic TDC night. I appologise for the very late generic logs, I left for a trip to England shorhtlly after this night and have been playing catch up ever since. There were some fantastic, inventive hides in the area that I really appreciated. Thanks know-mads for the cache
Another fantastic TDC caching night in the Melbourne and down to the Wonthaggi area. A lot of caches found, including Keep It Moving. A night filled with laughs and good company. My appologies for the late and generic log, have had personal issues to deal with, and still sorting them out, so trying to catch up now. Thanks to all CO's for their hides.....
Not a great spot to stop on the roadside, but a quick find soon had us moving off.
Thanks

On another very cold night the planned route for The Demolition Crew was into the Wonthaggi area to make a dent in the unfound caches int hat area. The trip started in teh eastern suburbs of Melbourne and took us south collecting some caches as we went. With lots of laughs, it was to our surprise that a well known D5/T5 moving cache had the co-ordinates updated in the area. It was then a mad dash in the middle of the night to sign that log, before we continued the planned route into the wee hours of the morning. These winter nights can be very cold, but at least this time it wasn't raining. Thanks to all the CO for placing and maintaining their caches. We had lots of fun finding and signing. Cheers TR.

Found on a final drive around the area to pick up a few last caches in the quiet of the night.
Just dark enough to need a torch and no muggles around, thankfully.
Quick find at this time of day. TNLNSL TFTC know-mads,

With the long weekend, Channel Challenge, Vintage Bikes and Markets on the Island, and the Kilcunda Lobster Festival all on today it was not going to very cache-finding-friendly, so it was a good time to visit the microvial-cache-capital: Wonthaggi. It turned into a most-of-the-day effort getting to each of the caches in and around town (and then a few more on the way home), but it was a good day out.
I was very glad for the clue on this cache, because it was so well hidden it would have been so easy to miss otherwise. Had a look at the track through the fence on the walk in-out but it was not in use today.

Found at 12:14 PM GAFF1. A nice clever little hide that we could just make out by looking carefully. No sports today, so we could search unhindered.

KTCvic ventured out on a Gippsland Gallop today rounding up approximately 40 caches. What a fantastic day it was too, as we were able to soak up some rays as well as the views, as we made our way eventually to Cape Patterson.
A full log will follow to give your cache its full dues but for now this copy and paste will have to suffice.

After grabbing a ftf in town I decided to clean up some caches in the Wonthaggi aera. This was the last cache for today. Sl Thanks Know-mads for the cache.
Went for a search this morning before heading back to Melbourne, and after checking the hint still was at a loss to find this little devil, however, with a bit of perserverance, finally came up with the goods, love the camo know mads.
Found it difficult to get the lid back on, so took little blue pig, will move him into another home somewhere. Cache OK, lid on OK.

A fun day out caching in the area with Spladem on a hot day. Came down for the event and the chance at some FTF's. One of the ones grabbed on our way out of the area. TFTC
One of many after attending the event with C@H, This trip took in 2 FTF's a ride to a waterfall, the sights and sounds of the seaside aswell as many small towns and catching up with lots of cachers old and new.. Thanks Know mads for the hide (and many more that we will soon make today).. TNLN find #2017
Sorry for the belated log, the Christmas “silly season” intervened! This was the twelfth of 14 finds on a big day’s maintenance and caching with Robmc.
Thanks for the cache, I knew there was a track down this way somewhere, but had never bothered to check it out. Not only did we (ie, Robmc as usual) find the cache, but we also found a walking information board! Anything you want to know about the history of the track and surrounds, just ask...

We parked at one end of the track and walked into GZ. Cute camo'ed container.
On our way out we met a guy on a bike who related (in great detail) the history of the motocross track. It was actually quite interesting. We also talked about new things like electric bikes, etc.
Thanks, Robmc.

I was out caching with Biggles Bear for the day. We found this one without any difficulty. Thanks for the cache.
Oh dear, beaten to yet another cache by my little brother. He had picked it up and tossed it back down again. Dad suggested he have a closer look. OH! Surprise!
Found with the Earthbound Team and Wileyclan on a massive caching day. After parking and walking in the caretakers dogs keep barking at us but the cache is located out of sight from the track so all is good. Great camo. Thnaks know-mads. TFTH...SL....TNLN
Today we had a bit of an assault on the area going with a team comprising of walenators, wileyclan and Earthbound Chief, which ended up being quite long and fruitful!
We parked and walked in to the cache site with the sounds of a dog barking its head off at us. Thankfully the cache is located in a place that is shielded from view if the dog owner had bothered to come and check what the problem was. EB Nano did the searching for this one and actually discarded the cache before EB Chief had him take a closer look at it. Not to be perturbed, EB Nano still claimed it as a find for him and we were off once more
Thanks for a nice camo job on the cache know-mads
Cheers
