Bob sent us off in the wrong direction, and this was after I was on the wrong side of the fence and had to walk the LONG way back, only to be standing there wondering the purpose of the green box on the now otherside of the fence.Thankfully i bring normalish people with me so when i go down the rabbit hole they keep hunting
Nicely placed. Still not sure the relevance of Bob, but thinking laterally about the box outside, it worked out in the end. Tftc.
Because this isn't a multi I had completely overlooked this cemetery cache thinking it was a puzzle I couldn't be bothered solving (without actually looking of course!) so when I was planning today's walking route I saw this and was pleased to find it was exactly the kind of cache that I wanted to do today having several hours in Waikanae with nothing better to do. That didn't really sound right but whatever. I should have broken out the GPS for this because finding locations in an open space by phone never works out quite as well but I did it anyway and worked my around the waypoints in the given order although it felt like there might have been a more optimal route if paid more attention. Luckily I was taking photos as I went because when it came time to crunch the numbers I found I missed a couple of letters that were kind of subtly buried in the text. The checksum worked out and I got some plausible coords. Headed over there and took slightly longer than an observant geocacher should have to spot the cache. Opening it revealed an "explosion" of critters which I was in no mood to identify and I beat a retreat to a seat to sign the log and let the infestation disperse. All clear on the return to re-assemble. Easily the most enjoyable cache of the day. +FP and TFTC.
I had solved this a while ago but left it to now to find the cache to fill a mystery dot-day. A fairly quick find and we understood the hint better after we noticed something that shouldn't be there. tftc
I had cycled in one gate, found the other cache in the cemetery, then cycled to the other gate (which I think is the main entrance). Had to cycle past a group who must have come out of the crematorium. As I was doing the walk, which I seems to do the wrong way around - starting with the high letters. And so, near the end I countered a couple of women burying ashes. I assume form the same funeral I saw earlier. It was a nice walk around, although the waypoints seemed a little arbitrary. The final was only a short walk from where I parked the bike, but then so is anywhere in the cemetery. Quick find at the final.---A couple of weeks ago TrinityNZ and I cycled from Waikanae to Otaki and back and on to Paraparaumu via the expressway cycle path. When I got home and logged the caches I had this nice string of yellow along the cycleway. But there are bits of green scattered along the way, only about an kilometre or two off to either side spoiling the map.So this time I came back to do those. I grabbed my bike again and took the train to Waikanae then the bus (a Metlink bus) on to Otaki. I cycled back to Waikanae, with almost none of the trip on that cycleway. The trip took longer than expected because I kept going further away, especially to check on archived caches, which were no longer there . Took longer than expected, mainly because I kept going further afield than I had planned, so found 21 caches in the end, about double my original plan .Felt good to be out on the bike again. Must do another trip somewhere. Somewhen.
I was in Wanganui this weekend, and before I began my drive back home to Wellington today, as I usually do, I looked at the map to see what Geocaches I might like to find along the way. I noticed that this 'north-west 'quadrant' of the Kapiti region only had four caches left in it that I had not yet found (and one of them was a DNF), so I decided that would be todays plan. The cache was the first on the list.Despite having been here at least three times before, and having found the two other Geocaches within the cemetery grounds, I have avoided doing this one as - cos, I'm just not a fan of this style of puzzle. And because of that, I did attempt to shortcut this puzzle - using all the information available to me I had the search area for the final narrowed down, and with the hint I found what I thought to be the hide area (turns out I was right too), but my powers of observation let me down and I didn't see it. So, I did a lap of the cemetery and collected the required data like a good little Geocacher. And then, because the checksum didn't add up and the calculated coordinates were clearly wrong I did a second lap to fix the mistakes I hade made. Still wrong, but fortunately on that second lap I photographed everything so I sat down on a bench to locate and fix the last of my mistakes (fun fact - the cache was visible from that bench). Finally I had the proper coordinates, and they took me too ... the exact same location I had been at before I had done any laps. No, wait, they took me a meter or two away, and that was enough to allow me to notice what I should have noticed initially but didn't. The very nicely camouflaged cache was found, safe and well, exactly where it should be.---Thanks to tmann421 for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge
After finding the other cache in this cemetery went and looked for this one. More like a multi cache than a mystery. So searched for the stages and then calculated the final coords. Cache was a little confusing at first but saw something suspicious and had a little fiddle with it. After a bit of twiddling got the log. TFTC Nice Hide, Dropped a TB.
Nice walk! Great to have all the waypoints marked, making for quicker identification of the correct spot. TFTC!!South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - MEGA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!
Really enjoyed the walk which I did in reverse after parking next to the entrance. It's a good hide if the original logbook is still there after ten years. Good one. TFTC
I did enjoy walking around this well-kept and pretty cemetery finding the information I needed. Matagouri was my chauffeur today and as it was raining he was sensible enough to stay in the car while I did the hunting. At GZ I took notice of the hint but could not find anything until …. A photo confirmed I was looking at the cache hide and ‘holding my tongue’ in a particular way I was able to access the log.

Came up to Kāpiti early this morning to target some high-favourite caches for the Wheel of Challenges, and this was first on my list. I had managed to solve this using an online resource (and intuition for the unavailable information). Parked up nearby in the dark and made my way across the wet grass to GZ where I spotted something out of place in the (phone) torchlight. Opened up and found the log, so it wasn't the other thing . Signed and replaced, and another puzzle dot-day complete, too! All good here, and TFTC+FP
Enjoyable wander around the boneyard with D back in September. I particularly appreciated being supplied WPs for the clues. Hint was handy… except the ‘Bxx’ part which initially led us astray. Back today for a mysterious dot day… 29 left now. Thanks tmann421
#2326. First of 4 tmann421 caches found tonight. GB Leader and I brought our extension ladder along for the Levitation #7 cache but first a little matter of grabbing this one.
We had visited the cemetery in Nov last year, but an error in calculating meant we failed to get the green tick. Got that sorted with Excel, and left it on the "to do" list. Tonight was the time to make the find, watched by Flowerydaze who just "happpened" to be there too.
Tftc tmann421. Found at 5.49 p.m.

Found earlier this week with Zayn2016. We were in the correct place but took it three visits to locate the cache. Enjoyed doing this one. TFTC!!
We went out for the day to travel to Paraparaumu area do complete a few caches down this way, ones that had been solved and the newer caches and lab and to locate this bonus to the lab which we completed a few moths ago . The day started in rain and the first few caches we had to do in the rain but the day ended up with warm sunshine .
Waikanae was on our way down to Waharoa and we had solved this puzzled so we needed to go to final waypoint and locate the cache , it is a nicely, discreet cache but as we approached it i knew straight away what i was looking at . thank you for this clever cache here in the cemetery . i took nothing and left nothing .

On a road trip with HS. Sad about the morning rain, but fortunately cleared soon after. Thanks for this mystery.
A nice educational tour - left driver outside as he thinks it’s too early for inside. Nice hide
B and I picked a perfect day to do this cache - sunshine and no wind! We enjoyed the stroll around the picturesque cemetery. A few others had the same idea.
No trouble finding the clues. We had to wait about 10 minutes for some people to vacate the area around GZ, and then we started searching. We don't know how the first part of the hint works but were able to find the cache without too much trouble. I've signed today - B will return and sign on a dot day for him.
TFTC tmann421!

Id planned this for a day when I wasn't in a hurry, lots of calculations but got there, thank you for the explore.
I enjoyed the stroll around the cemetery with a friend, and then returned today to find the cache. The first half of the hint threw me, but I found it in the end. Favourite from me
The Great Geocaching Tour of NZ Cemetaries continues! I gathered the info for this cache before Xmas, but made an error. Today an opportunity to return, get correct info, and find the cache. All good, tftc!
Enjoyed walking around and solving the puzzle, and our checksum added up correctly.
Just can't locate the final cache (even with the hint). Was our first time on a D3 though.
Will msg our final coordinates to CO to make sure we had that right (to be safe)

A pleasant and interesting wander around this peaceful place on a nice fine morning.
No problems with the clues even though some of the inscriptions are getting a bit faded.
Enjoyed the birdlife, particularly the antics of a couple of Canada geese playing king of the hill!
Spotted the cache quite quickly as I have seen this type a few times before, though I am not sure about interpreting the reference in the last words of the first line of the hint.
Fortunately I was able to gain access to the cache. A good thing that nobody was around to observe my suspicious activity.
I hadn't realised this was a lonely cache but soon found out because spiders or insects had left some hairy evidence of their having somehow got into it!
Cleaned it out as best I could but still a little residue left. Not enough to be of any concern though. But if it's another
8 months before the next find it might accumulate again!
Apart from that all good with the cache.
TFTC.

A not-so-quick find while visiting this cemetary with my elderly Dad ... I somehow got strange numbers for Y and Z but was able to figure out likely substitutes
Great hide luckily I understood the clue!
Signed logbook - all nice and dry.
+FP as I like this style of cache and the peaceful surroundings

Was solved yesterday but as it got too late(and too scary haha) was quickly found today. TFTC
In an effort to get myself close to 1000 finds ahead of the WENZ Mega last October (so that the Mega itself could be my 1000th), I spent an evening in Waikanae trying to get as many caches as possible.
But I hadn't been back to try for some of the ones I missed back then until this afternoon, courtesy of finishing work early and making the most of the good weather.
I had first looked at this "Puzzle" over a year ago as I really like Puzzle caches and was a bit surprised that this wasn't really a Puzzle cache but was much more of a Multi. In the past I've tended to ignore Multi caches simply due to the time they can take to complete, but recently I've been making an effort to spend the time and enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
So it was today, that I started this one and got to have a very pleasant walk around the Graveyard collecting all the data required to locate the final. All the Waypoint coordinates were accurate, and I had absolutely no problems in gaining the info. So having calculated where I thought the final to be, off I went to look for it.
Perspective is a funny thing, wholly dependent upon your viewpoint. For 10 minutes around GZ my viewpoint was completely wrong, which resulted in a lot of wasted searching and head-scratching. Then suddenly I thought about switching my view, and a very likely object was spotted immediately. Of course that mean that I had to walk back to the car before walking back to the object to check it out, but it was worth it as I was rewarded with the find.
Everything was fine with the logbook, which I then signed and replaced as found.
Thank you for setting up this cache, and giving me a nice way to stretch my legs.

We've been meaning to do this for a while and when mum had something else on, and we had some time to spare, we decided to this along with some others. Nice day for a walk around the cemetery and the final hide was great! TFTC.
A very pleasant morning to be wandering around the cemetery collecting the required numbers. There was nobody else there, just us and the tuis. TFTC.
+ a FP, - nothing.

We are spending most of today caching on the Kapiti Coast as we make our way towards Wellington and the Mega this weekend. Our main targets are solved puzzles, but today we also have time for a couple of field puzzles. We quite enjoy wandering around in old cemeteries - there is usually a lot of history to explore. No problems finding the relevant information, nor in calculating the final GZ. Made our way there and no problems finding the cache either. Thanks.
8.40am. An early start on a wet morning, but the rain held off while I was wandering around. All found and off to the final. Took a moment or two to work out how to get into the log. But got there and signed and replaced. No one else round at this time of the morning. Favourite point here for an excellent multi.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
found on my Anzac day bike ride, figured the co-ordinates out reasonably quickly and spotted what I was pretty sure was the cache quite quickly too - though it took me longer to work out how to open it! Thanks for the puzzle
A bit of time to spare this afternoon so went for a little walk around the Waikanae cemetery. Gathered up the clues and surprisingly the check sum matched my numbers and a quick find of cache. Nicely hidden. Thanks for the puzzle and thanks for the cache.
On a geo-trip from the USA, stopped here for a few caches on our way to the oldest in New Zealand. Hello from Duluth, Minnesota!
This one had us searching a long while.... I saw something out of place, but it didn't register as the cache. We all touched it.... but aix sponsa realized what it was. Phew! Thought we were going to have to leave with a DNF, after all that work. Thanks for the tough cache!

Caching with lostcheq and Mocrin on an adventure halfway around the world. You had us going on this one. The more we searched the more we wanted to find this cache. I think we all felt we had checked every possible location when the cache was found. Great hide!
TFTC What a puzzle! Visiting from Northern Wisconsin, USA, with Mocrin and Aix sponsa. We had fun with this one.
19:15. Started this one last weekend, but noted the wrong number in one place which threw the calculations out. Once rectified, had to wait until I was dropping off the boys at a scout camp nearby this evening to return and retrieve. All fine apart from the loads of earwigs that I disturbed when I opened the container! Tftc, a really neat little cemetery trail.
A nice quiet little cemetery.
No problems with the questions.
Quickly spotted the cache at GZ even though I didn't really understand the first part of the hint.
A good cache with a nice hide at the end.
Thanks.

Love the cemetery caches. A great day to enjoy walking around this area. Cache very clever. All dry. TFTC
Came up the coast today to knock off some of the Waikanae caches. I must admit I enjoy cemetery puzzles. The beauty is with a little bit of looking you see all sorts of unusual things. A nice compact cemetery and the information was soon gathered. A quick trot to the final and soon spotted what I was after. All in order. TFTC
I love cemetery caches, and this is my third one today (the others being in Norsewood and the Manawatu Gorge). I didn't read the hint until after I had appeared on the wrong side of my the divide, so I had to relocate again to grab the log. As others have noticed, my calculated coordinates put me approx 7m away from GZ, so I crunched the numbers in case I had made an error. I don't think I did, as the checksum worked out.
Great camouflage! TFTC

Had a lovely walk around the cemetery after visiting family in Waikanae, easily able to obtain the required information to get the co-ordinates, then headed off to GZ where the cache was quickly located. Clever cache container. Tftc
Tried finding it two days ago, came back today and gave it another shot. Can't believe how long we stood next to it not knowing. Really nice container!
A very pleasant stroll around the gravestones this afternoon, and apart from managing to omit one of the required letter/number combos (oops! -had to backtrack!), an easy solve. Final was well set up.
Stopped off on my way back from Te Horo beach and managed to visit all the waypoints find the information and stay dry (only just). Thankfully the final location was well away from the two gardeners who turned up while I was doing the calculations. 09/20. Cheers and TFTC
Had a couple of days staying in Paraparaumu and manged to get quite a lot of caching time. Fair bucketing down for a good portion of both days - hence some very very short logs in an attempt to keep the logs as dry as possible! Thanks for the caches, neat area to cache in.
Finally, took me a lot of planning and a second visit to sort this one out; not too sure if the hint helped. TFTC
Found today with Tipsytui. A nice easy multi but which took us a bit longer than we had thought, but we enjoyed the walk on this pleasant Sunday afternoon. The cache was well constructed. Tftc.
A very enjoyable multi completed with Flowerydaze. A really great hide at the final. I looked at the cache and discounted it, but Flowerydaze knew straight away where it was. Good hint too, part of it only clicked after we had made the find. TFTC!
Started pouring down just as we arrived... Not many people can say they spent Christmas Day getting drenched whilst geocaching around a cemetry Found with Silverfern24 and Yollomdr TFTC
Found on a nice walk through the cemetery in the rain on Christmas day with yollomdr and kiwibobby. Got all the numbers without any problems, but spent a while searching for the cache.
Didn't understand the hint, but found at GZ.

One of my targeted caches for the day, had to go back to one WP to grab one number I missed. GZ had me for a bit but then I saw something that caught my attention.

This one has been on my to do list for ages. Feels good to finally tick it off. Definitely deserves a favorite point. TFTC
There are approximately 100 Geocaches that I have found over the last month or so and have not found time to log, so I do honestly and sincerely appologize for the lack of originality in my log for this cache, as it will be the same as several others, I am just trying to keep my page up-to-date with my real-time caches (I'm logging my caches on the date-of-find, nonetheless), and since it was found so long ago I don't remember it clearly enough to write anything specific about it. [Log written on the 13/12]. Thanks very muchly for the cache!
Thoroughly enjoyed the walk around the cemetery, never realised it was as big as it is. A great opportunity to catch up with a few old mates who are buried there.
A nice easy"ish" puzzle that only took one and a half circumnavigations before the checksum worked out correctly! And the final hide was an absolute ripper! In fact if we hadn't done one similar not too long ago, I doubt we would have got it!
The place was deserted when we arrived so parked right outside the gates however by the time we were ready to leave we were the first in a whole line of cars as there was a funeral on at the crematorium.

We enjoy cemetery caches, so interesting and we find them calm and reflective. We gathered the information and the checksum worked nicely. Heading towards GZ we thought we spotted the cache but the coordinates didn't quite match. Instead of trusting our instincts we backed away and spent time getting to know another Bob and his family even though the coordinates weren't perfect there either. Finally we decided we had to check out our first thought and what do you know! A great well constructed cache and a FP from us. Tftc
Out and about for a day of caching today with tmann421. Another well set up puzzle. I enjoy these cemetery caches. Princess-Emily would have been disappointed not to come to this one as cemeteries are her favourite cache. TFTC tmann421
Fun puzzle to do today with my eldest.
I really like caches that are hidden within cemeteries, something really peaceful and surreal about the whole thing.
And whats better is that we got to go to my Daughters Grandads headstone and pay our condolences.
Unfortunately,it was only a week or two ago that his Wife(Anne)/my daughters Nana passed away too.
Makes you realize how special life is,especially when you see the sadness in your kids eyes.

A lovely morning for a stroll here with Crystal Fairy and Mycroman. Great cache. Thank you!

Cache # 119
Stopped off to get the final on the way North. Great cache that really blends in as part of the environment. Thanks for the cache. DId with Mycro Man on a day out in Palmerston North
Finally found it with Katenz. Our suspicions about its location last time were right. Tftc
Cache # 1,364 - a quick find today after confirmation that my coordinates were correct, but that we were apparently on the wrong side of a boundary. Took longer to figure out how to access the log book than to find the cache itself. GPS still insisted that the GZ was at least 5-7 metres away from the actual cache. Did today with Violet Butterfly. TFTFC, and certainly worth a favourite.
Finished off today with Wandering Dragons, a cache we started together almost a year ago. Nice to have it done, and a clever hide. Thanks!

Out with KateNZ. Couldn't find it, we think we had right co-ords but no luck. Will try again.
Solved this last year after an enjoyable stroll around the cemetery. Returned today with Kiwi Mico after running out of time on last visit. Found I had deleted up dated coordinates on my last GPS download so went to area I knew it to be and saw cache as I approached. Signed log. Nice hide. TFTC
A pleasant wander around the cemetery to gather the information, followed by a fairly quick find, the third of this type of cache we have found in a week. TFTC
Thanks heaps for your help! I loved the hide. Had spotted it earlier but wasn't too sure as the Google earth coordinates were a bit out. Enjoyed doing the multi part too
i've been around the cemetery but think i might have something wrong as the coordinates put me in the middle of the road...
A wee bit drizzly for my visit today although I somehow ended up not going wet at all really, some conveniently situated trees to shelter under while I plotted the next WP to visit. A lovely well tended cemetery for sure. No problems obtaining the required information but I had quite a bit of trouble locating the final, mainly due to some incorrect assumptions.
An interesting and enjoyable cache, many thanks for the placement.

Find #1538. Took time to enjoy one of the best winter weekend days we've had for a while with a bike ride from Waikanae to Paekakariki, taking in the odd cache or two. Really enjoyed this one despite it being in a cemetery. Managed to achieve the correct check sum and after a short time wandering the location, spotted the nattily camouflaged cache. Thanks tmann for a well constructed multi - will gift it a favourite point.
I am away from the area but had this cache checked and it is in perfect condition and at original location.
It is a bold hide and visible from about 5 metres away.

Came back for another go, this time with 3 extra pairs of eyes. Still no sign of a cache where the coordinates led us.
Had a very pleasant walk around the cemetery today with Violet Butterfly, and thought we had calculated the coordinates correctly. Got to the GZ and it looked likely, but a while later we both gave up looking. Recalculated at home and came up with the same numbers, so will have to look again next time we are out this way.
A nicely kept cemetery, and liked the conveniently placed retirement village opposite!
A well-put together multi, with a nice hide at the final. Enjoyed our walk on a lovely Sunday morning.

#4428. We enjoyed our walk around the cemetery; multis work well in places like this. We should have taken more notice of the parking coords. Liked the hide. TFTC.
The rain had stopped and I was in Waikanae for the afternoon so came here with Mrs agcnz who sat in the car while I went exploring the cemetery. As cemetery cache go this one was easy as you don't have to walk all over the area hunting for the correct waypoints, they're given to your. No problems getting the required information except for one waypoint where I seemed to be blind and had to look at the same spot several times before I saw the obvious. The calculations worked out fine, the checksum was correct, and the nicely-hidden final was spotted instantly as I walked towards it. Signed log, TFTC!
Was working up in the Kapiti coast today and after finishing my first appointment I decided that since I was running a bit early for my next appointment I might go for a walk and pick up a cache or two before making my way to the next appointment for the day. After finding GC3TYCA - Splashing under the bridge (Wellington), I had to go to my next appointment in the area and I was lucky as I arrived in store the person I needed to see was free and I was able to do my presentation to him and check out the store. I was quite surprise as previous visits I usually have to wait up to an hour, must be my lucky day, or he must be organised today.Making my way back to the car I check my schedule and realised that my next appointment was still another hour away, so I decided that I had about 30 to 40 minutes available, so decided to check my GPSr and go and get this cache. Before making my way to GZ, I decided to read the cache description and soon realised that there was a suggested parking area, so I decided that I might as well park where I was advised. The drive to GZ really didnt take too long and once there I was soon able to find a safe parking spot.Decided that the area was safe enough to walk around in my work gear, now it time to start making my way around all the waypoints, was glad that they werent too hard to find, and I soon had all the numbers that I needed, went back to the car to do all the calculations, and checking the checksum, it seem to work okay, now it was time to make my way to the final GZ. The walk to the final GZ didnt take too long and as I near the final GZ reading the cache description and I soon realised where the cache was and after a quick look it only took a few seconds to find the well hidden cache. Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where we found it. Thanks tmann421 for placing this very enjoyable puzzle cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNSL (5422). Alway glad to visit a well set up field puzzle and enjoyed the area, deserves a favourite point.Time to make my way to my next appointment.....Disclaimer:This disclaimer informs readers that the views, thoughts, and opinions expressed in the text belong solely to the author.Otherwise, what one says may be construed as being what the entire one believes, thinks or condones, and this may be very inaccurate and damaging, or just complete fiction......
The annual Kapa Haka for primary schools were performing at El Rancho and had some time to stop by and walk around the cemetery. A lovely morning for a stroll, thanks for the cache tmann421
This was the highlight of the day for me. An enjoyable walk on a warm day doing a very well compiled puzzle cache. The instructions were thoughtfully set out; I especially liked the idea of putting the likes of "F= G=" at the end of the WP listings to make it hard for somebody to carelessly move on to the next part without obtaining all the information needed.
Not for the first time, the meaning of the clue became apparent to me after I made the find.

#3371. Very nice walk. Several others were paying their respects in the cemetery today ... no issues. Well hidden final. TNLNSL. TFTC.
