Trouve ! / Found it ! 4552me cache trouve.Merci beltfamily pour la cache 4552th cache found.Thank you beltfamily for the cache
Nice quick find on our way out of Bulwer today. Weather wasn't the best. Very windy and raining. Cheers
Drove 480 kilometers in 8 hours, including 70 kilometers of gravel road on one of the remotest roads in the South Island and it’s a 1.5Anyway TFTC
Quickest find of the day! Love the classic DOC sign nearby; don’t see so many of them anymore. TFTC!
A quick find with Tregearp whilst spending the weekend in the region. All quiet at the GZ. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
Staying in the area with SJT_NZ so headed over to Bulwer for the morning and grabbed this on the way, a few slips from recent heavy rains but always beautiful views across the outer sounds, cloudy and a chill breeze but that keeps the mossies under control.
TFTC, road ends up turning onto private property which is annoying, but awesome roads and great views!
Arrived at Bulwer at 10 am, now on our way back. Stopped here. GPS struggling so the description and hint got us to GZ, with no sight of cache. Think this one may be over the bank. Arranged a replacement tucked in a rock cairn beside the sign. Cheers.
Bulwer and French Pass are on my radar to explore today, with the Seagnoid and Toby along for the ride. Left home at 6am and finally crawled back home at 9.30 having dinner at Okiwi Bay before leaving the sounds. Great views on a beautiful clear day with little wind. Lots of driving and lots of maintenance on this trip.

Sadly no find today. Nothing found immediately behind the sign as per hint. In fact no rocks anywhere close to the sign. Scrambled under the trees behind and lifted and checked all the rocks encountered. Searched around in the leaf litter and down the slope in case its rolled away. Nothing. No spare container on me so couldn't even leave a replacement as I am sure the CO wont be keen to drive out this far to put in a new container. Unlikely to be back here so will add it to the list of permanent blue faces.
This long weekend Jojo and I headed off to French Pass for a spot of caching and camping. 3 days, great weather and some stunning views. Sorry for the cut and past bit, and thanks to all cache owners.
Day two: After a pretty rough night's sleep, we couldn't really wait to get on the track. Seems the campsite had been overbooked so our tent was on a car park with a slight slope that soon became the talking point with our friendly neighbours. That and us being a sleeping bag short. So we got prepped early knowing that Capperz was going to meet us at 10.00am, and being a good forces bloke he won't be late, which of course, he wasn't.
The target today was the road to Bulwer and a few caches Capperz had unfinished business with around French Pass, then for Jojo and I an afternoon tea with her auntie at Elsie Bay, a catch up on the cricket and a hoover up of any caches back to FP. And overall it was a successful day - all targeted caches found, a cricket win over Oz (as well as Forest over Villa - sorry Capperz!) and some good chat on the trip and back at camp.
Easy cache find, was quite exposed so covered up again. Thanks Belt Family.

Todays plan was a return trip to French Pass after our whirlwind trip over there on New years Day (or should that be hurricane-strength trip?) Leaving home at 0700 on what promised to be a hot day of over 30 degrees I had a timing to be met and, being a good military man, was determined not to be late to meet up with caching buddies Ricardinho.nz and Jojo over at the French Pass camp-site. Together we grabbed the few missing caches of mine from the French Pass area, then a road-trip to the end of the road at Bulwer. 16 caches found and some beautiful views along the way too, nice.
Cache was exposed upon arriving, left it in a better state when we left. T F T C Beltfamily

Having spent the night at Bulwer - which could only be described as a rustic kiwi experience - we were heading for Okiwi Bay gathering the caches along the way tftc
A short trip from the road end to find our 2nd cache of the day. After signing we made sure it was securely sealed (not sealed when found) and replaced for the next cacher.

I decided today was the day to do a Bulwer Drive By and collect a few "new" caches on the way.
Stunning day for it and some great views.
Nearly there. An even longer way to drive for a dnf as I did in 2010. I better find it this time or I could be grumpy.

We kept this cache, plus a few others, for the journey back to civilisation. It was indeed a loooong journey on a slow, very windy and narrow road, but one that we are glad we did as the views were fabulous along the route and ever changing.
Thanks for giving us another reason/incentive for coming to this lovely part of NZ. TFTC.

#9528. After staying the night in Bulwer, we found the Scenic Reserve cache on the way out. It's good to have a number of caches close to Bulwer to make the loooooonnng drive worthwhile. TFTC.
[green] Hired a car to tour the far north. Amazing views and scary lopes down to certain death. What a fantastic road! Almost at the end. Yay! It's only about 9am (I spent the night at the Harry's House cache), and I sure am glad to be soon turning around and getting the sun OUT of my eyes!
Out for a day trip to the sounds to try to find all the caches that have accumulated since my last trip out here. I had a great day out here with wild wind and awesome views. I had similar sentiments to Kiwi_Explorer at finding this cache. Its certainly been a while since I found any of this CO's caches and the two out here have been on my to do list for ages. Also felt somewhat responsible for its being here in the first place but maybe that's taking things a bit far... End of the road for me today. I parked a little way - about 100m - up the road as I wasn't sure about the parking closer to the cache. As it turned out that was a good move as the space closer to the cache was occupied by other vehicles, including one very shiny new specimen that looked quite out of place in this environment. The cache took a little while to spot after I took the hint just a bit too literally rather than laterally. Thanks for stirring the memory cells and TFTC, Biggles.
First trip away for the year and it had to be down to Wellington & Nelson to see customers and do a spot of Rep training. Arrived first thing this morning and it was straight over to Blenheim and back to this side of the hill for client meetings with the rep (and lots of coffee).
As I am working on my DT Grid this came up as one that I needed and so while in the area it was high on the importance to find stakes. So as soon as I could escape from work for the day it was to collect a multi and then head further afield to collect others, (This being one of them). When I told my rep where I was headed he said I was mad and that I wouldn't be back to well after midnight. I infact managed to be not only back but collected other challenge caches and back to the hotel in Nelson by 11.20pm. So all in all I thought I did quite well. Having grown up in the back of beyond between Kawhia and Awakino I actually thought these roads were quite good out here. Not a lot of caches collected but some very interesting DT Combinations
Thanks for the placement

I'm 11 years old this was my first geocache. Geocaching Is much More fun than I thought.
Lovely day for a drive out here - the views were stunning and just kept on coming. TFTC #6173
I remember when this cache was first published. Seems like a decade ago and I knew it would only be quite sometime before I was back here to find it. It has lasted well though and made the drive out worth it.
Thanks beltfamily for the cache.

Skipped the cache at the top of the road as the weather made the longer dash to the cache seem like a bad idea opted to come on this one - as it was my side of the road I got to get out in the rain and find it - luckily it didnt take long - signed and replaced as per instructions - then picked my way back through the mud to the car thanks for the cache
TFTC! I found your cache today and i will do a complete log when I get back to my computer.

TFTC! My first! Just got my first gps. Great location! lucky we have a batch near there...
After much searching we found it washed down the bank, So we popped it back up and hopefully it will stay. TFTC Cheers Lydias
All good after the last lot of heavy rain. The cache is safe and secure. A quick stop and all round. TFTC.
Today was the day earmarked to come to this area to complete requirements for BGSc 301 and to pick up the other caches out here too. A long drive but as I was the passenger I could admire the view while Hazardarus had to keep his eyes firmly on the road. The only other vehicle we saw on the road was one we both declared couldn't belong to a local because it was too clean and at the same time wondering about the odds of it being another cacher in this remote place. We were not surprised then to note 3 of the 4 caches we found here had already been signed earlier today. Thank you for your efforts to encourage us out here and to help make the trip more worthwhile by placing these caches. It's an area I hadn't ventured to before, only having been to French Pass on a previous foray many years ago.
Today was the day. Up at the crack of dawn for an expedition caching with Holymu. I can't say how pleased I am to have finally had an excuse to go to the end of the road and pick up extras on the way. Bright sun and slight breeze we thought but cutting through multiple layers with ferocity when we ventured in exposed places. Close to GZ we passed a bright shiny vehicle, in fact so shiny it was commented: "that can not be a local". At GZ coords proved spot on and the cache was soon in hand and log signed. Only half surprised we noted the log was already signed today. It was a good start of a caching day that brought us to places that many people only dream of. TFTC
This was the cache that took the longest to find of the four in the area!! We think our GPS is suffering from its cracked screen or maybe it has heard mention of a replacement. However it had us parking in a very likely spot then refused to count down to less than 30m. Which was because the cache was not in that area, but in a much easier spot. Once we realised that, it was no problem to find. The rock is more of a stone but seems to do the job so we didn't change it. Thanks for the cache that contributed to a great day of car caching!! The first of three where we were silver to the same FTFer - this by seven months and 2 by 2 days.

THAT OTHER cache is the reward for going, mine are just the icing on the cake. That'sall.
Oh you are a tough man beltfamily! The other Bulwer cache has been given a D5 in recognition for the mind numbingly long drive to Bulwer!
