This is a bit high-maintenance, being on a rocky beach - became a bit difficult to keep in good condition - had to rely on the grandparents, and felt a bit guilty after a while - is a lovely spot though, and glad we took a few cachers there over the years.
Found this one on our way tot the Tasman Peninsula for Xmas. Finally got this one off the DNF list, Thanks YugiTea
Two Norwegian travellers on vacation/geocaching in Australia. Travelling by car from Brisbane to Adelaide with stops in interesting and not so interesting places. We have been travelling almost 5000 kilometers before we returned the car in Adelaide two weeks ago. Then we flew over to Hobart, hired a new car and will do a Tassie roundtrip the next 2 weeks. We have done the big highlights, Cradle mountain Nat. Park, the northern coast and the big cities. Left Bruny Island yesterday and will have the next few days on the Tasman Peninsula.
Sunny day today. Will visit Port Arthur and log some caches in the area.
#5 today. Wet log. Needs maintenance.

Took us a while to locate this one but when we did, there was a triumphant "FIND" called out. TFTC!
Today was day 56 of our trip out of Sydney to visit the southern states of Victoria and Tasmania and day 14 of the Tasmanian part.
This was a nice quick and easy find. After the log had been signed the cache was replaced as found. Thank you for bringing us here and thank you for placing this cache for us and others to find.

Last day today at Taranna so we set off to find a few more caches and visit the Coal Mines.

Left van at Whites Beach Caravan Park while we trip around the Tasman peninsula, caching as we go. We will be here for a week so hope to get to most of them.
Found fish guts amongts the rocks. What lovely rock pools. Love the anemones.
Thanks YugiTea559 and the grandparents for the hide.

Found it after 20mins, hard to find, below big rock, get on your knees and it's easy
Great view of the bay. This would be a fabulous holiday destination if you love your fishing (as we do) amazing conditions but had to settle for a cache. TFTC
A glorious sunny, windless day on the Tasman Peninsular.
Three quick and easy finds of caches placed in spectacular locations at White Beach.
Fish and chips for lunch at Nubeena. Nice freshly cooked seafood and what friendly obliging staff.
All of the above made for a great day.
Thanks for the caches.

Easy find I spotted the cache on approach, have covered it a little more when I replaced it. TFTC
This is a beautiful spot TFTC I nearly stole the pencil in this cache, I was hoping it didn't look to weird if someone saw me walking back to put it back hehe!
Could have taken a while but, fortunately, managed to walk straight up to it. TFTC YugiTea559
We found this one during our camper-van holiday in Tasmania.
Thank you for the Cache and greetings from Germany.

The remains of a fish decorated the rock just metres from the cache so I guess the name is appropriate. Looked for a long time until the wife said "really it should be under there" and so it was. Walking back to the car we came across a family of black cockatoos feeding on the trees.
Nice spot

Tassie #24 Found with Tom b raider who dived for dinner....delicious abalone plucked from the rocks! Greetings from Zimbabwe . Tftc
Tftc found it with Greenmealie from Zimbabwe. Good place to collect a few abs.
Queenslanders wandering around Tassie for a few months with geodog. Good hide. TFTC
Found after a day of history at Port Arthur. One of the locks on the cache is broken. Love the nearby boathouse, it's way too cute! Found with Shaz6611 and GingernutChestnuts
Quick find after our visit to Port Arthur. Spending the night at the caravan park. Found with Flim and Flick and Ginger nut - chestnuts.
Took me a bit of time to find this one. The GPS had me off in a different direction. Found it after widening my search. Nice little spot. TFTC.
Great little spot! Ran down between showers and hail storms. Luckily found under the first rock I checked! TFTC
After waiting for the muggle family walking the dog, HannahBandana and I found this cache just before the rain set in.
We signed the log, hid the cache and dashed back to the car, not getting too wet.
Thanks for the cache.

No fish guts about today. Only rocks, sand & water - oh, and a rather attractive bit of plastic. As we arrived, a snorkeller was heading into the water. Alone. No buddy on the alert for fins / run for help / whatever. I guess that's why it's called an extreme sport.

What is it with roadworks on this holiday? Everywhere we go we get mixed up in the middle of it, and today was no exception. Think we confused the lollypop man when we disobeyed his directions to turn down this road. Once we got to GZ we made a quick find. Thanks for a cache with an interesting name.
Magnificently scenic site. Took two coins. Left one ladybug, two butterflies, two mini balloons and a badge. TFTC. Angus the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad Carer Lis Brown en route from Bundaberg Qld to Perth WA via all of Tasmania.
searched for some time but no luck, there was evidence the king tide and heavy seas last week had moved a lot of rocks even at the tree line, hope it's still there somewhere
Thanks
Thanks
Discovered after a short search. TFTC now I better take these fish home and put them in the fridge
After finding a park it was a short walk to GZ and then the searching began, i was just startring to get a puzzled by all the options when i spotted the hide, log sone signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache.

We are slowly whittling down the undone caches on the Peninsula and came out for a quick arvo of caching. We haven't been along this road before and had no idea that there were so many houses.
A quick find.
Thanks YugiTea559 & the grandparents.

The last of the day after dinner, walked with the kids to skip rocks into the water. Another ewasy find. TFTC
Found on my walk just after breakfast. It was very peaceful. Good hide. Took Diabetes TB. TFTC.
Cycling up to this cache a car came past me and stopped. I slowed, then they moved off slowly and pulled into the parking at the boat ramp. As I was going past the other end of the car park they started coming out. I yelled and they stopped. Up the rise I pedaled and the car went past me in a cloud of dust. The car then pulled up just around the corner. I pulled up behind them and started checking the GPSr. The driver came and informed me that I wasn't going the right way for the bike ride. I politely informed her that I was exactly where I wanted to be and would be rejoining the ride route shortly.
I also suggested that I wouldn't mind them (others were pulling fishing rods from the back of the car) being there if they could put up with me for a couple of minutes. As it turned out I managed to replace the cache just as they came down the track.
Thanks for the cache YugiTea559 and the grandparents.

Found on my short round trip day before Port Arthur visit. It was dark after sunset, I have to use my torch. Thanks for the hide.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We are visiting Tasmania from New Zealand together with Hole in One 2 from the UK. We are spending 10 days in a campervan doing a loop around the Island and picking up caches where we could. We stayed in White Beach as we were visiting the Port Arthur Historic in the morning, what a lovely beach, for our first night we couldn’t have asked for more. There were muggles onsite when we arrived at sunset, so we had to wait them out before we could begin the search in earnest. Quick find once they had gone. TFTC.

A quick find by geodad
during our trip to the peninsula to get a last minute munzee special.
No guts or fishers visible today. Took lion pin left caching pin.
Something left in this cache we seriously object to, some useless cacher had left a shell instead of a swap, but it had a tiny crab inside who is now dead. Some people are careless & nasty.

TNLN It took a while but we found it eventually. Very windy afternoon so perhaps the GPS signal was getting blown off course Thanks
After checking out a camping spot we decided to collect a few caches on a round about way home. In the drizzle sb8 and I headed down the trail. After checking in a few spots I found the cache in its well placed spot.

Tricky someone said . . .well, it was far too tricky for the likes of us and looks like we may have to return another day. A muggle dog found us at gz, but didn't help us locate a sistema. Then a muggle and two more muggle dogs arrived. Muggle dog 3 showed signs of wanting to eat muggle dog 1, but then luckily they decided to get along and the muggle went off with 3 dogs!
We found it! Definitely under a rock and a bit of a tricky hide but gps coords were very accurate for us!!! TFTC
Searched and Searched with no success
Then rang a local to ask where is it? He confirmed that the location I was searching was correct and therefore it must be gone.
Can the cache please be checked.
The area certainly smeels of fish guts, and the Geo Kids enjoyed taking photos of the rock pools (attached)

After using the wrong information to search for this cache for about 30 minutes, we discovered our error. Once we had the correct description, a quick find was made. TFTC YugiTea559

So sorry we haven't reported earlier but I forgot.
The problem is we don't live in tassie so we can't directly maintain it.
Our grandparents are coming soon and we can organise it with them.
Sorry again.
