the gz has been fenced off

16-Mar-21
need to relocate

24-Jan-21
Not sure if this cache is still accessible. The original driveway into El Caballo is fenced off with a locked gate. We're afraid this cache may have gone the way of the park itself.

24-Jan-21
This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

Out on a late night adventure with Littl3Vix.

Whilst I never visited the park despite growing up nearby, its been interesting to watch how this area has developed as I have grown up. There are a lot more housing estates out here!!!

We parked just off the end of the street and made our way up, keeping an eye on a car loitering near mine while we walked. They ended up leaving before we made it to GZ so we began our hunt once we got there.

There is now a tall fence around GZ which we searched around unsuccessfully before I went back to the place I first searched and went a bit further and came up with the cache.

Now this tall fence is here, you DO have to go to the other side of the low fence as its the only way to get to the cache, but it was still safely accessible for us.

Thanks for the cache and history!

On a geoventure tonight with MizCupcake for this cache I've been looking at. Heading straight for a parking spot not too far from gz, we jumped out of the geomobile and made our way up the road. Not too far up and we noticed another car pull in, turn around and stopped. Wondering if they were more cachers, we had a giggle and made our way out of sight, the car soon vanished as well. At gz we read the description and were not making any headway with our search. Realising how old this actually was, and the fact that another fence has been erected means you do need to get around past the first mesh fence to get to gz. We soon had CIH and completed signing duties. TFTC!

Today I teamed up again with marj01 for another day of caching, this time around the Narellan/Camden/Cobbity areas. We had a very enjoyable and adventurous day visiting the cache locations, finding a heap of hides but also a few DNF's along the way.
I don't recall having ever gone to El Caballo Banco but I do remember it. TFTC.

Went past today with geowife and replaced the cache with new container and log. All good to go.

05-Apr-19
Out for the day for trekking around George’s basin with Gundrills. Thought we’d stop by this one on the way home so that he could replace the cache.
I remember going to ECB when I was a little girl (not sure how old) for my sisters birthday. Thanks for letting me go back in time.
TFTC

29-Mar-19
Accompanied by Gundrills again we searched for a bit and then I spotted the cache for a worthy retrieve.
Reminded myself that my uncle used to moonlight as the official photographer at ECB back in the 70’s. By day he was the photographer for John Sands for their board games and cards! Just a bit of trivia to share!

25-Aug-18
I recently came across a video showing the disrepair ECB had fallen into prior to the developers purchasing it and remarked on it to llama_boy. Although neither of us remember going there it was definitely part of the cultural environment of our childhood and its absence now seems saddening. I wonder how much of it remains as it doesn't appear that houses are going into the area yet.

The guardian of this cache seems a bit out of his depth but kept it hidden from us for a minute or two.

25-Aug-18
Rassilon256 had reminded me recently of the forgotten fun park that used to reside here. It seemed fitting that we would explore the place once again with the purpose of getting this cache. It didn't take long before rassilon256 had the cache in hand. TFTC Smile

OK I hate cut and paste logs so will try my best to add a little something different to each log I post. Code 1 and myself were out on our annual caching run weekend. So some of our logs read both names but to save room on micros and nano’s etc we used CJ1.
Like most of our past trips a little homework was needed to work out a suitable location, route and to build lists and PQs, with this done and set we found our self’s in the Camden location. A great range of finds and styles were located with a great deal of questioning over some of the posted difficulties and terrains.

Remember coming here in primary school I think it was well lets say the late 70's a great show.

04-Sep-16
Found it in the dark too.

03-Sep-16
Found on a weekend invasion of my old romping ground with JAB's.
It's crazy to see how much the area I grew up in has changed over the years.
I can still remember the Spanish Dancing Horses.

#3259 (2 of 7 today)

Decided to travel down south today for a bit of cache plundering. The main problem was the further south I went the worse the rain got - actually I suspect it was just the fact the rain was developing during the afternoon.
Went for eight today, and found seven. Probably would have gone for more if not for the wet, and tried to pick targets that would keep me as dry as possible.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well, there is certainly plenty of parking here. Was attracted by two close together hides, but was surprised by the passing traffic - including a bus.

Surprisingly quick find on this one - to be honest the camo is more of an indication than of concealment.
Completed signing duties and then off to talk to the horses...

27-Jul-16
Found previously with aWTYOW, came back with geogangstas to sign my own name. TFTC

27-Jul-16
I remember bringing AWTYOW here many times when she was a kid.... I remember her nearly falling off a horse... I remember her crashing her go kart.... I just remembered she won't take me caching anymore if I keep laughing at her past misfortunes! Luckily for me AWTYOW pulled over so I could make this find with Gab__Star. She dried out the cache and replaced the wet log to help out the COs and soon we had replaced it in it's home. TFTC.

Took geo-gangstas and Gsb_Star here today and the log was soaked and destroyed so we dried the cache or and replaced the log. Good to go again now.

22-Aug-15
lot of rubbish around.

11-Jul-15
We used to go here all the time as kids. It's a shame it was shut down. The sign is now gone as well and by the looks of it, its becoming a construction site.. housing? The cache was a relatively quick find. Checked the hiding spot straight away as it was a similar spot to a nearby hide and sure enough there it was! TFTC Smile

14-Jun-15
Too hard for us today

13-Jun-15
El Caballo Blanco (Forgotten Fun Parks 4) was transferred from Booo'sDad to user The Booos

After a chat with pitman clan I realised what went wrong on our previous visit... It seems the area Dwight Shrute was sure she'd checked thoroughly had not been thoroughly checked at all! So, as DS's punishment, I stopped by without her on my way past today and made a very quick find!

24-May-15
Yay! Finally found! after a few visits, GPS played tricks with this, after re thinking description and knowing it had not long been replaced I knew it had to be here, large trail of horse and riders can by from the riding ranch, Should of gone with very first trip instincts, sometimes you gotta put the GPS away! TFTC

24-May-15
After a few searches for this one finally had cache in hand today with Pitman Clan, Cheeese Pizza, TFTC

19-Apr-15
Couldn't locate cache

05-Apr-15
Hi Did not find this one on new and old co ords, Thanks.

03-Apr-15
Had a good search in daylight without luck.

13-Mar-15
Night caching with Pitman Clan. Co ords kept leading us back to fence looked everywhere but unlucky this time.

Coordinates changed to:
S 34° 00.253 E 150° 46.606

Distance from original: 55.7 feet or 17 meters.
Cache was gone, gates look like they are now regularly used for the development happening in the area.

Have moved the cache to these new co-ords!

16-Jan-15
No sign of the cache, had a good search

15-Jan-15
