We've got to Lawrence! A quick once over, with the help of another biker who knows a Mr & Mrs Paterson who do caching. But he doesn't know their name- non-cachers are funny like that. Not obvious.. Hmm, keep searching for a micro or head onwards for cups of tea...? The cups of tea won this evening!
Went to find this one twice without finding it. It was a beautiful day for caching.
Stopped and had a quick look with geoboyfriend but neither of us could find it... We're off to Dunedin to see some yellow eyed penguins and the Wallabies beat the All Blacks so couldn't stay to look any longer. Good hide!
We went to Lawrence on the Moto Guzzi to watch junior Guzzi play rugby for Otago Country under 14's against Otago Metro under 14's. The metro team was pretty good. Do city team's always have it over the country team. They had plenty of reserves for sure. So many they had to share jerseys. Was a good game to watch although injuries were high. We thought we better pull off a cache before we left Lawrence. We nearly gave up on this one but Mrs Guzzi spotted it just before we left. Thank you.
Sneaky Sneaky, found with granville86a on a day out caching. Beautiful day for it, thanks bitsprayer!
Waited right here to pick up husband from cycle trail, great opportunity to get this one. TFTC:)
From Gore to Dunedin via..... Ettrick. Started at the wrong end, finished at the right one. Thanks for the hide.
After a good night sleep here in Lawrence B&B we logged this cache. Greetings from Finland.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We are currently on holiday in Southland, visiting from Auckland, together with HOLE-IN-ONE2, who is visiting from the UK. Today we decided to tackle a challenge we have been meaning to do for a while and with a big drive planned today thought it would be a good chance to complete it, 50 caches in one day, each cache at least 1km apart from all the others! Quick easy find at GZ, TFTC

Visiting phasevisitor from the UK PV doing 50 cache at least 1km apart challenge today. Nice easy find very quiet TFTC
Pulled over at the cache Toadmiester7 and I jumped out found it and drove on. Nice Hide. TFTC
Had a break and morning tea here. Got some very funny looks from passing muggleist in their travelling mugglemobiles as it was a tad early for morning tea but we had had breakfast far too early for a Sunday morning before our day of caching. Easily found. TFTC
Stopped by this one our way from Dunedin to Wanaka. Ace7 made the find as he picked the right end and I picked the wrong end. Thanks to Bitsprayer for your cache and cheers from Australia.
We had a little bird hang around us for 10 minutes, tried to land on my hand, relised it wanted food cause it flew off to new arrivals.
On a long weekend trip to Lawrence, I went for a quick look. Found in an exposed spot so replaced it a little more securely.
Nice spot for a barbie.

I think its this cache.. i wrote it down somewhere. But i think the log book is nearly full.
Had stopped here once before and left empty handed, but not so today! Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Looked and looked again, was about to leave when the usual 'just one more look' and yep, there it is! Found with debsnz
When we pulled up we were saying to ourselves, "I'm sure we've done this" but no, it should be, "we DNF'd this last time, lets try again". In this case, try again means DNF #2
Took a bit of searching. Once we worked through the search methodically we managed to locate it. Found on the way to the Mega.

After having what I thought was a good look at all sorts of places and things here, I was unable to locate it. I hear from later finders that I have been blind. Maybe I will be back, who knows. Thanks.

So this was Day Three of my NZ trip on route to the Mega Event.
We had a very slow start to the day, taking in breakfast at a local bakery
before collecting a few Caches in some very interesting locations around Alexandra.
Now on route to Dunedin we pulled off the main road to look at a few specific caches.
We chose this one as it was on our route, the three of us search high and low.
Mrs Felix spotted the likely place and I obliged by rertieving it.

After arriving quite late into Alexandra last night and then being up until 2am logging and chatting it was a much slower start for the West Australians today.
Heading now towards Dunedin for the Mega.
An interesting, if not terrifying drive for us today. With the temperature getting down to 4degrees and being in a very windy stretch of road during 20minutes of hail it is a day we won't be forgetting in a hurry.
The road has been very busy today and we have missed a few caches that we thought we might stop at as there has been nowhere to pull over. No such problems here.
It was so cold and windy here, but it didn't seem likely that we should be unable to find this cache. But after checking all the obvious spots and still being empty handed and starting to go blue again we resorted to the hint. Uhhh no info to glean there. Now reading the logs, that got us on track, so we started again and soon enough MM was almost at one with the cache but he had not seen it. Swiftly pointed in the right direction we put our marks and moved onwards to thaw out. lol.

Having spent the night in comfortable and dry lodgings in Lawrence we got a bacon and egg breakfast at the cafe and mad a quick find leaving town.
SamWalkers caching with Mr Roo on the way to NZ Mega.

Cache number #47 on my Mega expedition to the South Island. Had abandoned the idea of doing this yesterday as the grass cutting man was busy adjacent. Today 9am and desperate for breakfast after a 5.30am start I stopped for a look. Spied a potential geocacher sitting in the shelter so thought two sets of eyes were better than one. Asked him if he was geocaching and he replied "What's that?" After an explanation he pointed to the cache and said "Is that what you are looking for?" Needed a bit of monkey cunning to retrieve the container and had difficulty in replacement but I think I converted another muggle to the game. Off to breakfast/coffee and free wifi in Lawrence.TFTCSL
Found on the trip to the NZ mega with Sam walkers. After saying goodbye to Tealby. Sam walkers and I decided we should find a bed for the night. Got to say the jafa motel was lovely and cheap too.
After finding the motel we decided hey lets get a few more caches. This was the first and after speaking to Tealby we knew where to search. Young Sam walkers did the honors TFTC

Not quite what I was expecting for 1.5 terrain but I spotted it in the end and was able to retrieve relatively easily - and I think only one car passed by in the process! TFTC.
Another cache requiring some problem solving on how to actually get our hands on it. We could see it...so close and yet so far away from signing the log. Replacing the container was also tricky.
Thanks for the challenge.
Thanks for the challenge.
we thought we had found it BUT...it was a plastic bag with some green leaves in it?????? So we used the rubbish bin too.
But we did find the real cache.

Had a long look using all the hints but were unable to find it so we gave up. Then went back and left again. Reversed the car up and then M went and had one last look. We just didn't want to leave it. Then M saw it. Thank goodness for the bin and some acrobatics.
Being muggled big time by three guys working on the rail trail. They seemed quite unhappy that we were hanging around so may try again tomorrow, aalthough beiung vertically challenged ourselves this may not be so easy.
Three out of four of us are vertically challenged and the remaining member still wasn't tall enough. A tramping stick came in very handy for some poking and prodding. Was amused to see the end of the cache had been painted over, it looks like the cache survived the recent paint job of the BBQ shelter. TFTC
Another ' bring your own ladder' or have a tall friend cache. This actually was the painted over cache container which I confused with the Chinese Camp site a few hundred meters further up the road. That site had a black magnetic capsle. A bit of a prod is required to dislodge this one.
A bit of a hunt for this one and yes the previous logs do help. You really need to be not vertically challenged to get this one! TFTC
Found after a bit of a search the previous logs did help, this one is a bit of a stretch luckily i am tall ish..TFTC
This was a very difficult cache. No trouble finding it, however at full stretch had no hope of reaching it. Finally able to get it out with a stick. Unable to place back in same position as not able to reach. It is in a similar position that I was able to reach.
Found after quite a bit of searching. Hard to believe it is in the original place as it was very difficult to get. Left as found. SL TFTC
Couldn't locate the pesky thing at all. No competition from muggles, either today.
We went past earlier in the day and there were muggles all over the place, but when we returned later we had the area to ourselves.
Looked on way to Queenstown and on way back home, both times people were enjoing the BBQ so couldn't look, will try next time
Quick stop on way from Queenstown to Dunedin, and a quick play on the cool swing for the kids. TFTC
Did a quick stop on our way to Cromwell in the pouring rain. Nice and dry place for the cache.
This one took three visits to get a muggle free opportunity for the find, it's a popular spot. Luckily Lawrence was my lunch stop plus a chance to avail myself of the town's free wi-fi (very cool), and some caches to find in Gabriel's Gully so the re-visits weren't too much of a problem. A quick find when I eventually got the opportunity.

Last year we stopped here to use the other facility adjacent, while dodging a range of earth moving machinery. All quiet this time. thanks for the cache.
Some cute little birds hanging around today, but they won't stop still long enough for a photo. TFTC
A quick find - once a very suspicious couple drove off. Almost had to use my "clipboard and day-glo jacket" disguise. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1991)
