Logs
#971Linked up with Desperate Tenacious to target this cache. We evicted a slug that had crawled under the bison and cleft the area after a successful find.
I'm now back in NZ, having spent the last couple of months in Europe, and today I'm traveling to pick up my car that friends have been looking after in my absence. This means experiencing the wonder that is the Auckland Transit public transport system.By now I was in Sunnynook, where I was meeting up with my friends, but there was a walk involved of about 1.5lm which would allow me to grab a few caches along the way, and this was one of those.Another good hide set up, and it's easy to see why the CO leads the way on the Project GC 'Top FP h-index' which is one of my favourite metrics for cache hiders. No issues to report with the cache, so everything was replaced as found once I'd added my name to the log. Thanks for setting this one up. Gets another FP out of me.
That's a favourite from us. Excellent craftsmanship, would definitely recommend going during quieter times. Thank you for making such enjoyable caches.
Such a cool container. Tftc. The kids loved this one. Went early in the morning on a Sunday so no one was around.
Tried to give it a crack while I've got some spare time while my car is getting fixed. So many cars and got sprung by a muggle using the nearby clothing bin. Got spooked rummaging in some leaves unvealing a creepy crawly. Running away before people suspect me of being a menace to society will try again another time!
Another wet Sunday and a dot day. Parked up nearby and wondered over to GZ. Googled this rather unusual hint and made the find of this nicely cameoed cache.
I thought this spot would be a great contender for a night cache, and yet, there was still a higher amount of cars driving around here than you'd expect! A great hide, thanks for the effort that's gone into this! FP added, TFTC!
at first i picked it up n threw it back but went back to check n we found it! TFTC
Looked for ages, traffic everywhere. Young man came to see if I needed help Ive given up for today
Very cool. However I looked like a weirdo and like I was good to throw something at a car
this was my first find!! i was so thrilled! awesome find, definitely going to be looking out for more
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my newfound obsession: geocaching! ️ It's like a real-life treasure hunt, and I can't get enough. Oh, and let's be real, nothing beats the thrill of finding hidden gems in nature while enjoying some baked goodies. Happy hunting!
Nice cache, worth the FP. All good here - as suggested was best to return to the car with this one for signing. Clue was very helpful to locate quickly.
What a great hide. Scratched a while then realised that this must be it. I love NZ, the most beautiful country I have visited to date. Clue was a big help. Thank you for placing this cache for me to find. Out of fab points but will issue one when I have more.
Easy find, but took a bit longer to work out how to get to the cache. cleaned an ants' nest out of it too. Tftc.
First ever find! Didn’t find it the first time around so came back again after some thinking and found it!!
Out today with Mum (SethRaven) and Fencarrows climbing the last mountain and gathering all on Mums list . . . . . I found this clever camoed one hiding away . . . . nice work! Gets a fave from me
Out caching on the North Shore today with Fencarrows and 2FLYTim to meet the requirements for the last mountain and also for a puzzle cache in the South Island. Someone had left some good quality bath towels at the clothing bin today, all neatly stacked by the bin on the ground.
We parked up and a quick find was made by 2FLYTim here today. Log sheet was full so we placed a new one. Gets a fav from me.

As usual the quality of the cache is great. This should see us to the summit. TFTC
Nice park and grab for the kids. Clever hide and hint! Had to wait for some muggles to vacate the area
Up north today for a stay in the hospital on the 8th. Last day of freedom and doing a dry run/walk to the hospital to know how long it will take me. Choose a route past a couple of caches.
Read the hint and thought it best to Google it since I am not conversant enough to know chapter and verse. Didn't really need to as it only took the using of small amount of well honed Geo sense and the cache was located.
Happy to report all is found to be in good order.
Cheers.

Out today grabbing some favorited caches around Auckland.
This was on the list, I’m impressed by this one!
Very well crafted.
We found it completely inhabited with Ants, but all was well otherwise!

I'm not one for the Bible but I did say a little prayer when I got this one. I also cursed a bit when a worm fell out into the car.
Great clue, great cache. Coincidentally my daughter was standing right by it waiting to cross the road. A happy find. Tftc.
I'd noted this popular favourited cache and wondered what all the broohaha was all about. Find a good parking slot just down the way a little and walked back up. Had done some prior research on the hint so was prepared and soon had the cache in hand. Awesome work here G, FP inbound.
After a long morning over Devonport way I was again keen to beat the afternoon traffic and work from home for the afternoon. Left early afternoon and headed back via a slightly different route. Just the 2 caches but enough to round up some statistical anomalies and a couple of good hides too.

Was hard at first and it was still hard and when I found it, it was still hard g-2 you rock
Nice hard cache. I knew what the verse was in Exodus so I found it easily. TFTC
This one took multiple attempts to find! I kept looking in a spot I shouldn't have been! After getting a nudge from a previous finder I soon found the amazingly camouflaged cache! TFTC
Was at the nearby sports store to take advantage of the long weekend discount sale and soon had the item in hand (for shopping...I hate shopping) So any early morning start to collect. A previous DNF on this particular cache but being only 40 or so metres away it was too good an opportunity not to search. Well had this in hand within a few seconds or searching, not sure hoiw I missed it last time found at 9.15 AM. Very well crated cache and understand all the fav points. Well done and thanks to a long weekend not to much traffic passing by made for a stress free find. Cache find number 899
Brilliant camouflage. If I was a premium member it would be a favourite from me. Thank you from

Took is a little while to eliminate all hiding places where the cache wasn’t but at the end my son found it. It was a good team effort. TFTC
Fantastic and brilliantly designed and made Cache
Well done and thank you for your hide and find.
Well done and thank you for your hide and find.
Parked nearby to look at some cars for sale and checked my phone to see if any nearby caches and this one popped up only 50m away. Neat camo! TFTC
Another great cache camo while we're visiting this side if town. M2 and his friend found this while we relaxed in the shady carpark. TFTC!
Out doing the night caching. Wasn't the plan to stay up here. Lol. This was quickly found. I think ants love this one. Disturb a nest inside the cache. Ants everywhere. Quick log and get it back as fast as possible. Tftc
Team G0LD ( Lis's Crew, DaffyNZ and 0B80B8 ) on a mission again with two main objectives today. The first was to locate all the Smile series caches that we had worked on solving over the last couple of months and the second was to find enough other high FP caches to get the required 500 points for the caching carnival souvenirs. With almost no local caches available for us, a trip south to Auckland was going to be the only way to achieve our goal.
Due to other commitments, Sat 6th was going to be the only day all three of us could make it and we hoped the weather would be kind, as it was for us on our last adventure. Unfortunately, not this time though, as despite the forecast being for mostly dry, with the possibility of a shower, we ended up caching in near constant rain till it cleared later in the afternoon.
This high FP cache was on our planned route today and once at GZ, could see why it has that many. A nice tricky hide that was not too hard, once you are a bit familiar with the COs style. Gets a favourite point from me too for the quality of the camo. TFTC

Team Gold out and about in Auckland targeting caches with high favourite point and this one was on our list. Nice hide, but soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
Team GOLD - 0B80B8, Lis's Crew, and DaffyNZ were together again. We'd finished collecting the Smile puzzle series so now we were after our highly favourited caches. My teammate spotted this while I was still walking around to gz. Again, another fantastic camo job. Great to see your creations G-2.
