On a reconnaissance mission to see if I could tackle a couple of the lower 'Pranksters Devils' caches from this end. Parked up near this one and the carpark was a bit busy so I decided to tackle it when I got back.

About an hour later I returned and it was a bit quieter. Drove the ute right up to GZ and jumped on the bonnet and had a good look and feel around to no avail.

I now see while logging later at home that the cache has been disabled but have a feeling I may have my hands on it soon enough Wink

Heading to Manjedal Activity Centre to pick up eldest from a joey scout camp thought we'd stop and grab this one to help our TB racing to WAGB 2015 clock up some k's. Cool location, glad I had a light kid I could chuck up on my shoulders otherwise I wouldn't have been able to log this one Smile tftc!

I was out of the house early and heading from the Perth down to Dunsborough. What a perfect opportunity to cruise down the South Western Highway and rack up a few caches along the way. I would have loved to hunt for these all day but my time commitments curbed my efforts to stop at Pinjarra. I found this to be a much more scenic trip than via Forrest Hwy and there are so many more places to stop along the way. This was my first find of the morning. An easy find, which has whetted my appetite to complete the series, but just not today. TFTC Allied Pranksters

After a very disappointing DNF at a multi-cache final nearby, I decided I needed a few quick and easy finds. This one was nearby where I had parked my car, so made the short walk down. Didn't take too long to find it, sign and return to it's spot. TFTC.

Thanks for this cache AP. An easy find. The log is a bit damp and fragile and not many spots left for people to sign so could do with replacement log. This cache is at the start of a fabulous walk to Wungung dam.

09-Feb-14
Was out today with the geo-family for a lunch/birthday for a friend.
On the way home, it was decided (by me) that some caching was in order.
Managed to grab a couple before the "IM TIRED" came from the back seat.
Luckily, this was a quick park and grab so the natives weren't too restless.
TFTH Allied Pranksters, I shall return to venture "bushland".

I decided to indulge myself and have an early Christmas present. I had a day off but my wife still had to go to work so I planned a full days caching. I packed my lunch and a few bottles of water and set off.
This turned out to be the last one for the day. Parking on the west side of the road proved a little tricky with the corolla.

Took a trip to Pinjarra today, to grab some caches in the area.
Enjoyed the variety of caches, some with interesting camo, and good hides.
A short search, a long stretch and the cache was in hand.
Many thanks for the cache, Allied Pranksters.

Getting everything logged from my recent trip to Western Australia. The first two weeks were slammed while I was on assignment but I managed to get out every day for a find or two. Got to visit some really remote places like Meekathara and Wiluna and got down to the beaches near Marybrooke and Naturaliste. For the few days I had to myself I hit the Wandoo, the Albany Hwy and the Southwest Hwy Series. So I covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of Western Australia. I had to get used to a lot of things, like driving on the left side of the road, give rather than yield, take away rather than take out and yes with a question mark is asking for conformation. Just goes to show we may speak the same language but words don't always mean the same thing. Sorry for the cut and paste nature of the logs but I have a lot to log and my sanity is important. Smile Thanks to all the locals for the hospitality I was shown while there and thanks to the CO's for the hides, the fun and another smiley on the map. See you on the trail, and cache on!

30-Sep-13
Headed off to find the 20 odd new SWH caches today. It is our 18th Wedding Anniversary and couldn't think of a better way to spend it than stop start driving and taking 5 hours to get from Armadale to Pinjarra!! I am sure my husband could think of a better way - like playing golf!! But this is what we did!

A 6am start at Armadale Maccas for the traditional early morning caching breakfast and then off we went. 36 on the list in total and a determined attitude!!! We are walking in the Leukemia Foundation Light the Night walk on 2nd October so $1 will be donated for every cache that we find today!!!

Sorry about the copy and paste of the main log, but hopefully each will be personalized a bit. Smile

Quick find by the tall one!! lol

Found @ 10:38!

Find #01 on the rainy drive to Busselton with 'amryall'. The aim was to find many of the caches along the SWH and the only DNF was the first hunt of the day!

I like these signs and whenever I have driven by I have been with muggles so never had the chance (or time) to check for caches...

Glad to make a very quick find here in a fairly obvious location!

TFTC!

After a 1.8 kilometre stroll from our last cache find there was just enough time to find this final cache before jumping back into the cruiser and heading back to our caravan for a rather late lunch. Whilst I hunted around Ian had the cache in hand and had already signed the log before I even realised what was going on!

thanks.

After a relaxing day Daz sat down to watch some Ashes cricket only to remember that today was Geocaching's 'Get Outdoors Day' and as such a cache had to be found. After a minute or two sussing out potential targets Daz settled on this one and headed off. It took no longer than mere seconds to find the cache although reaching it was made a little more difficult as a huntsman stood guard close by. Having gleefully signed the log and carefully replaced the cache Daz returned triumphant. TFTC and for the assist in obtaining a souvenir.

After lots of searching and a geomonkey climbing up signs and trees, we finally found it! It would have been funny to have been a motorist driving past when this happened! Our sister actually saw us and sent us a message about looking at the sign and walking around. So very small...long arms are an advantage...but I'd say more height than arms...

We didn't realize it at the time, but this was actually the 500th cache for Team Albany Canucks! So it proved to be quite a milestone find for us! A nice easy find to conclude the walk from the Wungong dam, and conveniently just around the corner from where some of our family lives. And yes, the spider is real, and is *not* the cache!

We logged our first ever cache find less than three years ago on 14/Aug/2010, and our current stats record:
Find Rate: 0.51 caches/day
Longest Find Streak: 6 consecutive days (27/Sep/2010 to 02/Oct/2010)
Best Day: 16 caches (21/Apr/2012)
Best Month: 56 caches (October 2012)
Best Year: 216 caches (2012)

Thanks for providing our milestone cache, AmstradKid!

Easy find, though well out of my reach, so I did a bit of lateral thinking and reversed the car so that I could stand on the tow ball to give me the extra height that was needed. Thanks AmstradKid

25-Sep-11
We met up with iluvtrekking for a 'big day out' caching in the Jarrahdale/Armadale area. It was drizzling by the time we arrived in the parking area so the geo-guys volunteered to do the run to gz to make an easy find.

25-Sep-11
A quick (initial) retrieval but dropped the little blighter. It bounced off the body and landed on somewhere on the ground. We took longer to find it the second time around. Back in place and safe. TFTC

had me thinking then dove said look up and take your sunnies off and what do you know another find for the day

10-Sep-11
Playing catch up on some old logs I failed to get around to... Only two gongs for us today, the walk in on a rather warm day was a bit to much for the kids so we grabbed this one on the way out after getting wind gong due to muggles in the area when we arrived.

31-Jul-11
Hmmmm..... this was hard due to the dozen people having a sit down morning tea at close to GZ, so we found the cache and sat down on some rocks a bit SE of GZ. Had to dig into my tool kit to get the log out. SL TFTH

23-Jul-11
A Quick caching run to pick a few in the foot hills. As I approached the GZ I had a good idea in what structure this nano was hidden. I used the car to act as some cover from the muggles passing by at break neck speed. The initial search was fruitless, but after reading the logs, I raised my head and the cache was soon discovered, the car, like those previous logs, proved useful to get the height needed to reach this sucker. Signed the log. THanks Amstradkid for the cache.
