On a day trip to Kaikoura to see some seals so did a few caches while there.
What a view from this park. Thanks for bringing us here. What a touching wee plaque. Daughter got to have a swing so she was happy. Found, signed and returned. Thanks.

After a hearty meal and beer at the Whaler I went looking for a cache. Found this one but no pen on me! Bad planning on my behalf. Upon my return I was fascinated to read about the parks history. Imagine this being the hospital's garden and cow field! TFTC.
The last find of a great trip to Kailoura, after a day spent Albatross watching and then Whale watching we made our way up the hill to our B and B and I had to attempt this one as it was just across the road. A short search and the cache was in hand. Greetings from England

Find #3804 we were on a trip up the coast and picked this one up as we did a quick stop TFTC
Out for a day caching with Gullivers Travels54 from Christchurch north along the east coast to Kaikoura. Turns out that we pulled in here to take a photo (but the powerlines were in the way) a check of the map and sure enough there was a cache nearby. I went running off to the wrong spot but eventually we all got back to the right one and made the find.

This one took us longer than it should've. Must getting tired after a big day caching... Tftc ☺
Mrs Kiwimykl (aka NZDi) has got a course to attend in Christchurch tomorrow, so this afternoon we headed south grabbing smiley faces on the way. While NZDi is filling her brain with useful information tomorrow, I will be caching Christchurch, then on Friday we will head across to the coast caching along the way, stay in Greymouth then head home to Blenheim on Saturday also picking up even more caches.
As darkness was starting to fall and we didn't want to be too late getting into Christchurch, we decided to get another three QEFs in Kaikoura, then push on. That would give us a total of 10 caches for the day, not a bad tally for a Wednesday afternoons work.
Going by the description only, I soon had the cache in hand, if I had of used the hint, it would have saved me perhaps 2 seconds of searching.
The zip-lock bag was in poor condition and the log was slightly damp upon removal, but still writable, however I replaced the bag with a new one anyway which will give the log a chance to dry out.

Nice park. So glad we could see this special place. Yes, the plaque was a nice memorial. Enjoyed our visit to this nice town. TFTC.
A holiday visit today with mrs capperz and daughter nightowl19 along for the trip too. A nice leisurely drive down and with most caches between Blenners and Kaikoura now found it was definitely about the trip, not the caching. So many wonderful sights and scenery and a healthily improved Facebook photo portfolio so all good on the lovely calm Autumnal day.
First cache and we parked at the car park at the walkway end and walked up past the previously logged Earthcache before running back to the car to grab the G P S. Armed with a tool for cache finding I pushed on along the walkway to attempt/find the three remaining caches from this end.
After caching friend G H 6 7 1 0 made the find on this previous D N F I felt confident of a find today. A Q E F ensued and another smiley was gained whilst nightowl19 swung on the swings. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

On my way to Blenheim taking the relaxed route. Stopped the night in Kaikoura and this cache was near my accommodation. Quick find while heading into town for a bite to eat. TFTC
On the way from Anakiwa to Kaikoura we stopped a few times for the amazing view and seals as well as for some caches. By arriving in Kaikoura there was even enough time for a short caching round in town .
A long trip later from Frankfurt via Dubai, Bangkok and Sydney to Christchurch we finally started our three and a half weeks vacation. We tried to see as much as possible from New Zealands nature and also look for some caches. During the whole trip we could even find more than 100 caches .
We finalized the round trip on our very first day by booking some great walk huts and decided to travel clockwise around the Southern Island. It's hard to say which were the highlights, so I would say the whole vacation is our highlight .
Many thanks to all cache owners for showing us a lot of great places! T4TC!

18212 km from home we found this Cache while our holidays. Thank you very much for hiding and greetings from Dresden, Germany!
Found today but didn't log as we lost pen after finding first cache of the day! Can take anyone back there if you don't believe me
Having DNFd this a month ago, today it was a quick easy find. Well tucked away per hint. I think I was expecting a different type of hide last time. Nearby seat is suffering a bit, partly collapsed as I sat to sign the log. TFTC
We just arrived @ Kaikaura for 2 nights staying. Came from Nelson. Made a nice walk for sightseeing and geocaching. We found a few caches, this also!
On the most logrols I placed my own TB STAMP; you can discover it as a TB!

Because this cache is located so close to our accommodation, I gave it a try despite of the last DNFs. It was tricky hidden and difficult to get to it, but it is still there.

Too hard for GH6710 and I today. Tried a few options, and widened the search but nothing found
Down from Canada visiting my daughter and her family in Blenheim. Today was our day to visit Kaikoura to do some shopping and geocaching. Beautiful day to be walking and driving around this great little town. Quick find with crman1, coastalmartinis. TFTC
Down in Kaikoura for the day so we thought we'd do some shopping and searching. Managed more searching than shopping. This was a quick easy find. Found with eltee291 and crman1. TFTC!
Out for a family day in Kaikoura. Hot as hades but man was it brilliant weather for caching. Found with eltee291 and coastalmartinis. TFTC
Nice place. Quick find, after a look at the pictures. The coordinates nevertheless were far off. But still TFTC!
Our last day in Kaikoura and our final cache before we headed back to Christchurch, had lots of fun caching
Before heading south to Christchurch I was happy to explore some of the caches in beautiful Kaikoura
Thanks to the passionate owner for this cute cache [^] - and cheers from Germany!

[green] An awesome weekend caching to and fro Kaikoura, on a strangely empty State Highway 1. But two things marred it - one: I could only do a two day weekend, despite that this is a three day weekend - I suddenly got dumped with a ton of homework and I better do some study. And two: Someone smashed a side window on the car and stole the sleeping bag. So this weekend is going to be a lot more expensive than I had bargained for . Still... 120 caches! That will be a weekend record for me. And just about every cache between Blenheim and Kaikoura converted to yellow smilies. Lots of walking, sunburn, dust. Big smiley on my face even if not in my pocket! Took me all day to get to Kaikoura from Blenheim yesterday, on my way back today.
Dammit. Looking at the cache page I think missed something. Like the plaque. Probably because I saw "A Touch of Iris" and couldn't find any at the cache site.

Who doesn't have a touch of Irish in them, i do. Any way cache found while on a cache trip round Kaikoura. Cheers.
Looked in the wrong place here at first, and the found. Not where I first expected it to be, TFTC!

Great day for caching. Some recent logs put me off. Stick to the compass and hint if needed.
Found this one during a walk through Kaikoura. Becuase of the hint we found it quickly.

Bridge over. Returning to Goose Bay. Time for a quick P&G. This one provided a laugh. The Kowhai is well past its used by date. And then when we drove past the next day it had been removed. Maybe the next time we pass a brand new live Kowhai will be planted.

Found it very easy on a dreary rainy evening. The Kowhai tree is very sad, I didn't even recognise it as one! Thanks for the cache.
#408 I think the Kowhai tree is seriously munted. Why those dates in particular? TFTC

Day 6 of the Road trip Its time to head north again #13 for the Day was a Quick and easy Find TFTC
This cache is just down the road from my Uncles house so it was the first one after leaving his place this morning. There was just a piece of magazine being used as a log in the cannister so while I went and got a log replacement from the car Mum cleaned off the sign that was covered in green algae. Thanks for the cache
