Day five of a two week road trip. Travel day, so very light on the finds today's. I'm so glad I'm up here and not in Southern qld where it's cold.Old dead crop was way to high to get a decent look at the mountains unfortunately and after finding a new hint in the logs found the cache without to much trouble.TFTC
Pulled over to see the view. Blocked by grass.Modified directions. Don't pry off the cap. it's not there. Here with kiwisteve2 on our way to Emerald. Tftc
With dot558after putting emerald on another visit when not raining it was still nice to get a smileThanks for the ca he
Found thanks to a previous log post saying between Emerald and The Gemfields. The quick find gave me a good vantage point to take a photo over the long, dried crop. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on our way north for warmer weather. From Victoria to Cooktown, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT. TFTC. A nice quick early morning find.
After reading previous clues we changed our direction and voila TFTC, log is all good
Think we found were it was meant to be? Followed the clue and another log saying it wasnt on the fence line so thought this would have been the only another spot.
On my roundtrip along Australia with Oopie we are douing always some caches. All COs thanks for bringing us on this nice places and making this caches.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case Woodrow-n-Minus, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
On the road from Emerald to Mackay today after a short holiday in Longreach and Sapphire. What a stunning view this lookout holds. As previous finders we suspect this one has changed locations in the last seven years since we last found it. More like... between Emerald and The Gemfields. Quick find, TFTC (again!). ️ Found with Globetrotters7701. Back on the road again! ️
Needing from Emerald to Claremont Stopped to check the view out..Cache is there nice and dry..Signed log and returned cache to its hide
Staying with family at Emerald. Went for a drive to Capella & stopped to look for this cache. Another couple were there admiring the view. As we were keen to locate the cache we introduced the couple to geocaching. When we located the nano size cache they were amazed & took a photo. The little blighter was replaced where the previous cacher ‘rainforest’ indicated in a more suitable spot. Tftc
Replace in a suitable place. See how it goes.
Thanks for getting us to stop. Chill breeze here today l

Dnf came with my partner who has previously found but he confirmed this is no longer there ️
I’m off on my annual 6 week adventure and it is back to Outback Queensland to finish off what I started last time but got interrupted along the way.
It is nice and quiet on the roads this morning and I’m now in QLD and the weather can only get better to what Melbourne is at the moment.
After a beautiful couple of days at Carnarvon Gorge it was time to head to Anakie for a couple of nights.
Arrived at Anakie then set up the van so now it is off to explore the area as much as I am able to do so.
My trip has turned pear shaped as my knee has gone and so there is now very little walking so if you saw someone hobbling around that was me.
After a great day yesterday in Sapphire and Rubyvale I thought I would head to Emerald to have a quick tour.
I had all of these puzzles worked out before I left home and now I’m staring at a map that I just cannot physically do.
So a long detour back to Anakie was decided on going via Capella and back through Rubyvale.
One very low lookout but a good reason to stop and have a look.
This one had me going for a bit until I soon spotted the very sneaky cache.
Managed to add my name to the log.
A fav goes out to you for this clever cache.
Thanks Minus TFTC.

Thanks Minus TFTC.
I was expecting a climb to this one, but it was a nice drive by.
As I searched further afield, CybergranV quickly located the container and, with the log signed and returned, we set off further down the road.
Thank you for the clever hide Minus.

That was a sneaky little hide. Accurate coords and in good condition. Thanks for placing it. Funny kind of lookout.
This would have to be the lowest lookout that I've ever seen. A quick find of the sneaky cache. TFTC
Another good cache found with woolwood9.

On our way home after a 2 week round trip to Mt Garnet for their big May Day weekend races & rodeo (and a family gathering amongst it). We are on the home stretch today.
With the hint, this one was a quick and easy find. A tool is needed for extraction. TFTC!

After the long drive yesterday we are only going as far as Emerald today - collecting a few caches along the way as well as some ALs. Thanks to all the CO's for your hides.
Today travelling from Clermont to Emerald after visiting Townsville for the Mega Event at Easter. Arrived at GZ and after a short search cache was found. TFTC
Unable to check inside recently painted fence. Our thanks anyway to Woodrow-n-Minus.
Not in the suspected location as going by a previous post with photo the fence has since been painted so suspect that it is now missing.
O … M … G! We really had to work for that one!
This is a true micro-sized cache and very well hidden. The hint is very clever and very accurate!
Thank you to the CO for making this such a satisfying one to find. Signed log and replaced.

We pulled up nearby and searched the likely places before finally finding the little devil. Then the clue made sense!
Another day heading south as we begin to work our way home, this one a reasonably long one as we head from Charters Towers to beyond Emerald. We’ve seen large birds we guess might be brolgas, quite a number and a kangaroo or two. Had to pull off the road to let two low loaders carrying dismantled Tonka mining trucks go through. They were 8 metres wide! Not much traffic and a number of rain showers but a good day.
Oh, and we collected a few caches a,one the way!
Thanks to the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches that have broken up our journey.

Can't decide what we liked the most.... the great hide, super hint or lovely views. Well worth the stop. TFTC Woodrow-n-Minus, left a new log.
TFTC...Nice easy find on the way to Fairbairn Dam. Only room for 1 or 2 more names on the log.
I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache Woodrow-n-Minus
Caching while on holidays.

Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan , BitternA4, and our new little geopup. Funny story this one, a tale of two containers. A squashed one and one in good condition. The one in good condition was cleverly right where the hint says it should be — and so close I could put my finger on it. The smooshed one was over a boundary I wasn’t sure was muggle-safe. A real conundrum. Decided in the end to take the smooshed one as it is now rubbish and we signed the better one amd left it in its hiding spot. A really neat spot caching has brought us to - the view was nice and clear today after torrential rains the last several days.
Thanks for the fun, Woodrow-n-Minus

I got wet and covered in ants, lucky no bites. Great hint! No views though

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that i can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
30/12/20 Roadtrip Mackay to Emerald to Barcaldine to Aramac to Blackall to Jericho over the next 3 weeks. TFTC SL
Hubby remembers Lilyvale. Used to have lunch at this “ghost town” by the creek. Cache is tricky to open as has been cross-threaded and needs replacing with next person who comes by with a spare container of this sort. And possibly the log book too. Rainy day. So couldn’t see all the way to Lilyvale (about 30km towards Peak Downs or so I believe).
