All good here. This must be the most southerly B&W cache I have come across, and I think first on this trip. All good, if a little musty smelling. TFTC B&W, hope you are keeping well.

Day 14 of our road trip, and today it’s Alexandra to Haast.
A lovely day, perfect for driving and checking out the scenery. We stopped in Cromwell for an Adventure Lab and a walk around the historic area and picked up lunch. The drives up the lakes was awesome. Later we stopped at the Blue Pools, another highlight, plus some waterfalls a bit later on.
We did think we were running into 1 hour roadwork delays, but this proved unfounded. Apart from that, everything was awesome and good fun. Cheers y’all.

Located with Ricardinho

Its Day 14 of our South Island roadie & the journey is Alexandra to Haast. I love the drive from Hawea to Haast, the scenery is so beautiful & today the weather gods blessed us with the perfect day
Highlights along this route were the Heritage Precinct in Cromwell, the drive along Lake Hawea & Wanaka & Haast Pass & the walk to the Blue Pools
We did think the road was closed between Hawea & Haast as the traffic sign just outside of Hawea said it would be open only on the hour. RNZ got a bit more caching in & we timed it for 2pm but drove straight on through 20 mins before that & realised later, after we got through, that they were the roadworks!

Liked the play on words for the name of this one

A quick find as we pulled over to let traffic past.

Thanks for the cache bumandworker

On holiday staying in Wanaka and decided to check out a town we haven't visited on previous trips and today it was Cromwell. Had a good time exploring the town including the museum which is near the cafes in the town centre area and then some caching - a perfect day really!

At around 3pm I was eyeing up the local series as we had finished exploring the town. 'How long can I cache for then?' 'Until you get a DNF was the response' Well if that was not motivation to find them all I don't know what was!

We finished all of those successfully and were on our way home. We had stopped for a photo opportunity up the road and so it would have been a bit rude to leave this green dot here so pulled over. I must have been getting tired now as it took NZ Iceman to spell out the name - doh! Thankfully not too tired to make a quick find and sign the log. Maybe this was the final one for today??

Thanks for the cache.

#9363. Easter Sunday. Day 3 of the Easter road trip with Infoferret. We started in Christchurch and drove to Hokitika via Hanmer Springs, Lewis Pass, Reefton and Greymouth. Yesterday we headed down into South Westland stopping at Okarito, Fox Glacier, Bruce Bay and Haast Pass and staying overnight in Wanaka. Today we are heading to Cromwell, Alexandra and Queenstown before we drive north through Lindis Pass to Twizel. We are a driving a hybrid car and its proved to be very economical and easily has fuel capacity for the long stretches of road between townships. Our main aim is to gather up geotour caches but we are stopping for a few traditional caches and virtuals and earthcaches as we make our way around the South Island.

I wondered why this one was called soggy pizza. Now I know. Nice quick find by the plaque. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks bumandworker for the cache.

12-Jul-19
Collecting evidence of some elusive gem thieves who had broken into the Museum. Investigating the scene I found the first shadows caught on the museum security cameras that will get me a little closer to another Souvenir: Evidence collected. Managed to park off the road as one of the big trucks plying the highway betwixt Wanaka and Cromwell came barreling down the hill in the early morning. I found the 30ml clear pillcan and the replacement paper logslips popped in by one of our home town cache owners replacing the full log. Only needing to sign the dry log and staple the loose sheets together, I returned the cache to the RRP. Thanks for the PMO cache smilie.

I hadn’t meant to come this way, but with SH8A closed, I had no choice if I wanted to get to Twizel. Fortunately, I had some of the caches in this direction in my GPS. Cheers for taking me here. I never would have noticed this monument otherwise.
