The Nook is a lovely area to stroll around. I found the required info and made my way to the GZ. There were a lot of people walking their dogs and enjoying the surrounds which made the hunt for the cache a bit tricky. I was trying not to look suspicious but people just kept popping up out of nowhere it seemed. Eventually I timed my grab perfectly and soon had the log signed. Now to return it....think I may be here a while! TFTC and telling me the story of the young lad.
Day 20 of my 114km Stepping Up to Breast Cancer Walking Challenge in August. This 7km walk takes my official total to 117km - only whole kms are counted.I parked at The Nook and should probably have started here but Geolabradog needed a run so this was #8 for today instead and my final find.A great wee multi in a fabulous wee park. Such a sad story though. The sunshine had brought out a few people but not too many & we were soon heading to GZ. On the approach we spotted this gorgeous bird - I'd love to know what he is....... Many thanks
A nice little multi in a lovely little park. Thought the geese were going to get a bit friendly but they continued on their way. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache Team LadavaRegardskbucky
A nice sunny morning, so I set off to do some AdLabs and a few caches around Sunbury.Came to this park for a couple of AdLabs and couldn't resist a multi while I was here.Lovely spot. Thanks, Robmc.
We had been staying in Wonga Park for the weekend as we attended a wedding on Sunday. After leaving the Airbnb, we headed to Werribee so Mrs Dromaniax could go to work. That left a few hours for Geocaching, and we had planned to check out Moonee Ponds and Maribyrnong. However, a first-to-find popped up, so we headed towards Sunbury. We missed the first-to-find but decided to stay in the area and log some finds in the Hume Council area.We quickly found the information we needed, and then it was off to GZ to make the find, which we managed quite quickly. Clever hide.Thank you, Team Ladava, for this Multiache.
6 July 2024 1:49pmFound with catnap777 as we took on a personal challenge to find as many multi caches as we could. This one brought us to a lovely park which is obviously enjoyed by many a dog walker.GZ was identified easily and the cache found safe and secure after a nice stroll and a brief search. Just one warning to future visitors.....Look out for landmines and check the bottom of your shoes before getting back into your Georig. TFTC Team Ladava.
6 July 2024 12:49dalerious and I were a few short to qualify for a Multi-cache Challenge, so we decided to hit the road and amend that situation. We picked an area with a good grouping of them, and they turned out to be beauties. Well set out and easy to follow instructions had us bagging quite a few for the day. Thank you Team Ladava(I originally came from Albury, and I know and love baby&Mrs gopher)
This cache ended up being my final find of the day while I spent the afternoon caching around Sunbury. After walking along and finding a few caches hidden along the path atop the nearby hill, I then made my way down towards this cache as I made my return to my car. I quickly located the plaque and soon had the final coordinates entered into my GPS. My GPS was pointing me to a location a very significant distance away which I thought was kind of odd. A closer inspection of the coordinates Id entered made me realise I had a small typo. Upon correcting them, my GPS was then pointing me to an area close by which seemed very reasonable to me. Now with the correct coords in my GPS, I quickly made my way over to them and began searching for the cache. It took me longer than anticipated to find as I spent a very long time searching on the wrong side of the structure. However, in the end, I did manage to find the cache pretty quickly once I was on the correct side. The cache and its contents were all in good condition and, after signing the log, I placed it all back before returning to my car and heading home.TFTC
A nice quick multi, my favourite kind. But I did take a bit longer with the find, with a little nudge from a friend and back to where I first started looking!
Tftc. This one had us looking for a little bit and after relocating a spider and a search by the geokids we had the cache in hand!
bunadoorian and I came to find this cache after we had finished at the nearby event. I wanted to do the cache from the start so we didn't join in with the group that came with the CO's. bunadoorian had the cache in hand first. It was lovely meeting the CO's today. TFTC and for bringing us here Team Ladava.
After attending a nearby event, I teamed up with GT37 and Papi4506 to find a few caches in the area. For this one we were in a group with a few other cachers.Exploring and caching an area with friends makes for a great day out.Numbers collected and crunched and a moment to take time to reflect on the plight of Colin Bolger. This was a group assault so a quick find. Thanks Team Ladava for placing this Multi-cache to enhance the game board and add to our enjoyment.
As we were in the area for an event, we took the opportunity to do some caching whilst here. This is one that I had found with someone else about 6 or so years ago so as we headed off to find the cache, I was trying to think of where it was. As it turned out, it didn't matter as there were a few people that had already gone for the nice stroll to GZ and had the cache in hand when we arrived. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
**The Nook, 13th Jan 2024**I ventured up to Sunbury today to attend a nearby event in this lovely park. Whilst in the area the info was quickly gathered, and a moment taken to pay respect to young Colin Bolger.Of course, this was a group assault after the said event. But did anyone read the cache description, especially the bit about no need to go under the structure? No! So whilst a few of us were indeed under there, I read the note out loud and we all scrambled out laughing as we went. Sol de lune soon had the sneaky hide in hand, but to be honest The_Tritonz almost had it from underneath as well! All good, log signed and returned before any muggles had the chance to ask have you lost something? etc. Thanks Team Ladava for the well-hidden container. Cache on *Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**-The **Ballarat GeoTour** ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches, and earn the souvenir, before the tour is archived. Join us for the [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) on 18 February 2024.
Found by Mary and David at 11:25. Had determined GZ earlier, so it seemed like a good idea to join the Event group heading off to find it. Looked on the wrong side at first before Sol de lune went the correct way. Our thanks to Team Ladava.
A day was planned to cache in Sunbury, a location we only have visited fleetingly once before. Once the nearby event was over we were able to make a leisurely walk to GZ in this stunning location with some fellow geocachers. Thanks Team Ladava for bringing us here with this multi placement.
Grub62 and I arrived at the first way point after leaving a nearby event and a few quick adjustments to GZ then a short walk. A bit of a search at GZ and a well maintained cache was in hand. Now to enjoy all the pleasant views in the area. TFTC.
Grabbed with a group of others as the morning event was wrapping up. Worked out the GZ and once there the search was on. Didn't read the complete listing so was looking in the wrong spot to start, but once that was corrected, the cache was soon in hand. Logging duties completed, the cache was replaced and we were on our way. Thanks for the cache Team Ladava...good to catch up again.
The previous day Donutholes notified me that he had a day free. So we made plans the following day to grab a few caches around Sunbury.Who knew it was going to be 36, but it added to the days caching entertainment. An enjoyable location to walk around. Walking to GZ I had to wait for the garden to finish his work before locating the hide.Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the multi cache Team Ladava #7,751
Visiting Melbourne from Port Macquarie. In the Sunbury area for a couple days. Worked out the final for this one quickly and made our way to GZ. Cache located after a short search, a local told us about a snake that was seen here recently. Thanks for the cache
A nice little multi. Thank you for bringing me to this beautiful park
Going to find a nice spot to have lunch before I head off
Going to find a nice spot to have lunch before I head off
Out and about at the early early hours of a Thursday with RoamingHowie collect a few smiley faces.
I had to get to the airport early and RH was a gem and kept me company for 4.5 hours before I flew back to W.A to see the family.
RH had found this cache before so i was left to work out this very quick multi. Got what I needed and took the short walk to GZ where the cache was found in good condition.
Logged and replaced,
Thank you

Behind on my logging! A Sunday drive saw me out this way in search of a multi. A quick find in a familiar style of GZ! Thanks Team Ladava for adding to our caching fun.
Nice day for it a leisurely stroll with the kid (dog)
Thank you for the cache!
Thank you for the cache!
I'm still chasing souvenirs, and attempting a 28-day caching streak for the current Wheel-of-Challenges souvenir campaign during this July 2023. Still have plenty of local caches to find, and still somehow maintaining the mojo and the momentum.
I headed a little further out this morning for parkrun (there's another streak I'm chasing - 51 consecutive different parkrun locations now). After finishing the Sunbury parkrun here at The Nook I did the usual and looked for a nearby cache or two. This one popped up as one of the closest so I headed to WP1.
A sad story about the young bike rider... GZ ended up being along the parkrun course and there was a 'marshal' nearby so I had to wait for all the parkrun runners and walkers to finish. I used my time by finding the nearby 'Vault' (another great cache) and then made my way back to this GZ by which time everyone had finished and the coast was clear.
My first search yielded nothing so I ignored the cache notes and went under. Still nothing. And then on the way back up I found it so easily. How did I miss that at first ?!
Thanks for the enjoyable multi, Team Ladava.

In town with Rebel Acts to put some smiles on the map, haven’t been to Sunbury in years.
I’m sure there was a point some time ago when I had all the caches around here, but it’s great to see so many new ones out.
Had a great day with heaps of laughter and caching fun, cheers for the cache

Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. We decided to head over to Sunbury to do the new Adventure tabs and a few caches in the area. It’s hard to believe the last time I was here was in 2014 some eight years ago and it must be thirteen years ago that I saw Team Ladava when they came to Warburton to help set up a cache for me, that cache is still in play.
This is one of the caches found today. A lovely area, I loved the avenue of trees. No trouble finding this one.
Thanks Team Ladava for the cache.

Met up with my old mate Slowdog for an afternoon of caching and Slowdogs 1000 milestone...Slowdog had done the groundwork on this one while waiting for me so it was just a case of locating and signing the cache.
Spending a few hours caching in the Sunbury area with Tiz13 with the plan to get my 1000th find today. It began with a few easier caches just off the walking track. The weather was fantastic and we had a few laughs on the way. I looked at the map and thought I found a 'short cut' There were many thistles and prickles that stood in our way, a train track to cross and then a sneaky journey through Salesian College which luckily school was out. But I got there in the end - I'm now part of the 1000 club.
Out and about with Echidna44, we found the plaque and deduced the coordinates. At GZ we mounted a search in the logical spot. It took a few minutes to find this chap, as he blends in very well.
We had a day in the Sunbury area caching and lunching with BoabTree and muggle husbands.
What a beautiful setting to visit. We enjoyed our stroll to GZ after working the numbers, but searched here and there before finding the cache. Thanks Team Ladava.

A quick walk for the listed to the final.
I found your D2.0/T2.0 Micro Multi-Cache called The Nook at 12:35 on 22 November 2022. It was find #16435 for me. Thank you Team Ladava for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 9: We went to Sunbury for the afternoon
Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. We made a detour via Geelong and picked up Bushfire. It had been three years since we last all cached together. [^] Today we set out for Sunbury for the afternoon with a pub meal at the local pub. Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs.
A lovely wander through the park today.
***Thanks Team Ladava for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

A really nice peaceful spot. Hide eluded me for a few moments but eventually got there. TFTC Team Ladava and a fav awarded
TFTC, lots of people out today in the park, but we’re able to quickly work out the gz. We were able to search in hindered. We eventually found the cache.
On a road trip to Bendigo, and rather than take our usual route up the Calder Highway, today we decided to venture up through Sunbury and Heathcote and pick up a few caches on the way. We stopped here for lunch and there was a multi a few feet from where we were having our picnic lunch. It seemed an easy one so we decided to give it a go. After obtaining the required information we took the short stroll through this lovely park to GZ. After a bit of a search, we reread the information and the hint and Mr Pooky eventually had the cache in hand. TFTC TNLN.
Many memories from this spot. Mainly coming down with friends, on blasting hot days, and jumping off the tree into the water. The watering holes all have the same stories, about being insanely deep and a young person having once drowned here and never being seen again. Apparently the deeper down the colder it gets, which has caused cramps. Or so the story goes. Either way, never knew anyone who touched the bottom, or was brave enough too. However would say this spot has kept kids entertained over summers for over 50 years.
Today the place was in absolute flood, even with rapids. Wouldn't dare go in here not even in a boat. A short walk to GZ which was very enjoyable and beautiful. GZ had us stumped, until we read to concentrate on the outside. A great little multi, perfect even. Thanks for placing.

Found this geocache in 2015 before the bridge was renovated, thought it was lost. Took me months as a kid to find it.
Used to check a lot to see if it was replaced and just found again!

Out and about with 80 degrees clearing out some more in Sunbury in better weather than last time. How tragic a story here. Whow the water level was up here with all the rain we have had. picked up the clue and moved on. Had us going for a while as it was different to what we expected. It was right in my face and I made it harder than it should have been. Great tactic Team L keep us guessing.
Out and about for a third day of caching around Sunbury width xambo4u.. Checked out the plaque and headed to the required location. Took a few minutes to locate before the log was signed. TFTC
With our gameboard now extended to include regional Vic, RoamingHowie and I decided to go explore the Sunbury & Riddells Creek area.
A tragic story indeed.
A lovely stroll to gz though.

Now that travel restrictions have been lifted it is time to venture out into the countryside again. Out and about targeting some caches and adventure labs that have been on the list for a while.
Took a nice stroll through this park to collect the info and then on to GZ. A lovely area to be outdoors.
Thanks Team Ladava for the cache.

Came here for a family gathering (central to many of us), and of course had to go after any nearby caches. Turns out we were sitting right near the start of this multi and soon had it found and signed. Lovely place, only downside was no toilets although I can see that is to be remedied soon.
Thanks indeed.
Thanks indeed.
17 September 2020..woohoo haven't been out for so long!!! Wouldn't call this a micro though
Spiffy- and I decided a few multi caches were in order for today plus a few other random caches. The forecast was for lots of rain, but we managed to stay dry.
This was quickly worked out, but so many muggles!
Thanks to Team Ladava for the placement and fun.

Found at 11:37 am.
Fleabag- and I had a few hours today and thought we would slowly start working our way towards a couple of different multi cache challenges plus a few other random caches. Forecast was for showers but we managed to avoid them the whole time which was brilliant.
Nice and quiet at the start location to gather the clues, got to GZ and I spotted the cache from above but then it took 5 minutes or waiting for muggles to come and go before we could grab and replace it.
Thanks Team Ladava for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I was pleased to find this cache today safely tucked away. Another interesting story and a pretty area. Thanks Team Ladava.
A fantastic hide - took me a little bit to find it but a lot of fun. Great job. TFTC.
Finally found after some help from my partner!! Yeah don't go buy the other comments like I did because it was no were where they said it was sadly...but yay I found it in the spot that I thought it would be the first time I came. All looks to be in good order. Thank you
A quick check today reveals the prize is safely tucked away in its intended spot
After searching for over an out I met defeat I even unscrewed a few bolts and worked out they are actual bolts not caches haha oops.. maybe go there another day with a helper haha. But it's sad to hear about the boy and loss of his life. No wonder the water is huge so no doubt it be deep as.
On an outing with Prado4x4 who had a massive dose of beginners luck and put his hand on it just before I could. Seriously?! I was just about to put my hand there! A beautiful day to start the new year.
Nice easy multi in a quaint little park. Enjoyed reading about the history about the area before we gathered the info needed to expose the final resting place of the cache. On the way we encountered a man with some ferrets, searching for rabbits along the creek. I remember ferreting with dad when we were kids, so much fun. While the man gathered up all of the nets that he had set, we sneakily gathered up the cache for signing. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKams.
A lovely little multi. I wish all were this simple and picturesque with an interesting twist at the end. I'm not sure the instruction to not go under the structure is correct for obvious reasons. Indeed I thought I was muggled out at one point but it turns out that a woman walking her dog had actually previously found it before the bridge was renovated/reconstructed. She claimed it was now easier to find but it was sheer luck that I put my hand on the correct item and felt it move.
A fantastic bit of camo here, Team Ladava. Worth a favourite point for the effort.

We both grew up in the area and LeeLee thinks she has been here once or twice, Crackers never. However we know it is a well known spot for locals.
LeeLee solo today arrived and I think it took about 5 minutes to even bother getting to GZ to work out the multi. Too busy taking it in, taking photos, wandering round thinking 'why did I never come here?' Now I had a reason
Arrived at GZ, info obtained quickly about the sad history.
Now off to GZ....no...too much to see. After another 20 minutes or so of wandering around, taking in the area, looking at the the interesting rock formations of the creek bed and taking photos I then thought I better get this smilie happening!
Arrived at GZ. Mmm took longer than expected.
Finally found it and was a nice hide.
Thanks Team Ladava.
A fav point from us.

Accompanied with crank1 to visit Sunbury for the caching day. Love this lake with ducks and geese surroundings on a beautiful weather. Friendly animals. Solved with multi and easy to sort. Found it. Fav for me. Thanks Team Ladava for the multi cache.
Found the required plague What a sad story that goes with it
Followed the path around through this nice park
Met a fellow and his 2 young daughters off to do a spot of fishing
A little search and I soon had the cache in hand and not what I am used to either
The blanket, suit and coat hanger are still there
Thanks Team Ladava TFTC
Found the first waypoint, great story here, albeit sad, and proceeded to follow the path around the area, at GZ there was a young family tossing a ball for their dog, I thought that an old fella sniffing around GZ may prove to be a tad irregular, but no, the young lady said," it is in there, keep looking" So I grabbed the cache stamped my sign, replaced the near full log book, put cache back as found, then had to throw the dogs ball, all in a days geocaching it seems, Thanks Team Ladava, a very nice way to fill in a bit of time while waiting for wife at the skin clinic, a few visits and there will be lots more smilies on my map
