No dragons here today? But I managed to find it's treasure. Logbook is soggy, but the piece of paper in a zip lock bag was nice and dry. Tftc
### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###
I notice from recent log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of owner intervention
Everyone likes finding a well maintained cache with a dry logbook. Unfortunately, there are one or more comments in regard to the state of the cache log for this cache, which leads one to the contention that the cache container is no longer weather proof.
A basic tenet of geocaching is that **the cache log needs to be signed to record a find,** see here: [Logging of All Physical Geocaches](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#logging). At the moment this would seem to be extremely difficult if not impossible to meet that requirement in regard to this cache. I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)
Please respond to this situation by **14th June** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

*Who could wish for a more enjoyable area to spend time, than in and around the Creswick Regional Park? A wonderful area for walking, riding, exploring and of course geocaching!*
There were a number of possible hiding spots for a dragon. Where we found the cache was probably the least likely - many thanks to a good samaritan who added a temporary log to the container.
Thanks to baranroblea for placing this cache.

Found with misschief 18 - took a bit of finding and some creative thinking to retrieve it. Nice one, thanks
GPS did not like this area and led us around for quite a while. Finally the cache was spotted. Now, how to get it? It's amazing what you can use! TFTC
Thanks for the find. We managed to tame the dragon. The book is slightly damp though.
Find #1187 for me. After reading the previous log I had a good idea on what to look for and made a quick find. After spotting the container, however, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to retrieve it. As it turned out I was able to reach it with ease so was able to add my name to the log and return it without a problem. Thanks for this cache baranroblea!
Up from the south to spend a couple of days to have a look about and collect a few caches
at the same time. Found it retrieved it signed it and replaced it.great day out no wriggly sticks
so far. Could have done with a man like Standard for this one. Thanks baranroblea FTC.

Another good cache found while touring around.
Thanks for helping show me interesting locations and history of the area.
Soon had the container spotted. SL

A couple of rare occurrences today. A few hours available for Team Ladava to go for a drive and find a few caches and the with the weather clearing from the west the forecast was more favourable in this area than home in Sunbury.
At first thought a walk around the lake seemed like a good idea however it proved somewhat challenging to Team Ladava with the slippery conditions, a fallen tree blocking the past and a stumble resulting in a very bruised knee.
Loved the hint

Our thanks to baranroblea for the cache and bringing us to this location.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.

Managed a quick find this morning while grabbing a few caches around the lake, thanks baranroblea for the hide. Another great little picnic area you find while geocaching...
Thank you for the hide had as going for alittle but the little ones found it

This morning, I'm on my way up to a weekend of events by the Murray, but in true Geocaching fashion, have begun by travelling at right angles to the direction of my destination. I think it's going to be a long day...
A multi in Creswick was part of the reason that I've headed off at a tangent to my destination. As of this morning, there were 14 placed months for which I have no finds, and six of those can be covered in Victoria. I'm hoping to knock off four of those six today... but the odd detour or opportunistic find never goes astray. In the case of St. Georges Lake, that meant a whole, fun, series... plus the odd bonus.
A cheeky hide, in a pretty location. Thanks, baranroblea.

Out with fox having a glass of red at this great picnic spot and decided to see if there were any caches . Lo and behold we were right in 30 metres of it!!! Fox got the clue and found it !!! Tftc
This required a bit stealth as the muggles were never far away. A quick grab and sign and all was well. TFTC
Suscoe headed north of Ballarat to the Creswick area today in the great company of our mate Bushfire.
It was a cool Summer's day with plenty of cloud cover during the morning and as the day went by the sun poked through every now and again. It rained and drizzled early on but even that dried up during the later parts of the day.
We had a terrific time visiting caches and enjoyed the various hides, locations and containers.
This was our 26th find for the day.
A quick stop along the track for this find.
Log book signed and on our way.
Thanks to baranroblea for placing this cache, great views.

TFTC. Used the hint, replaced the ripped plastic bag and had a great adventure getting here. Nice spot.
Not too hard after I figured out what the clue was about! Very nice little cache. Thanks.
Up in this area with Wozzle68 and one half of the Tritonz seeking out some local caches and this guy happened to be one.
Nice hide and with the log signed it was on to the next,
Thanks baranroblea for placing this cache.

I really like the hiding spot, I don't think anyone would find it hear, says Geokids 8 and, 7.
Thank you for the fun. Its great to have the whole family involved in this one. George kids, geomum, and geograndparents.

Staying a few days in Creswick we decided to see how muddy these tracks were after last nights rain.
Thankfully nothing too bad.
Such alot of history in this region. Just loving our visit. [^]

Nice morning for an adventure. Found by Geo mum after some gps issues. Tftc Added some dry paper because log book is quite damp.
Quick find in a nice area. Log is quite damp but managed to sign. Was much smaller than we were anticipating based on the description. What a great little secluded spot. Very pretty. Found with Wonder Woman WW. TFTC baranroblea
Find # 2177 @ 1518 H
Found with Tyred n Cranky in Convoy with Chook n Chunk and Reg
Reg had already found this one but gave us a hit as to its where abouts.
As we were all around the right tree it was chunk that came up with the cache in hand.
log was damp but we all managed to get out names in it.

We had just enjoyed the Lets Party birthday event in Creswick, and a little bit of caching was on the cards before heading home. Reg from The 2 Wanderers jumped in the car to join us, so we could find a nearby multi they hadn't found yet. Then we found ourselves tailing FUF009 and Tyred N Cranky at another cache up the road, so we all did this one together. Reg had done this before, so he sat down at the picnic bench and recounted how it took them a while on their attempt, and in doing so, inadvertently gave us a little hint which helped us have a speedier experience. TFTC baranroblea.
Find No. 878. Found at 3.18pm with FUF009
After attending the Let's Party event in Creswick it was time to do some caching before heading home.
Our second find for the day and again with Chook n Chunk and Reg of The 2 Wanderers. After parking our vehicles off we all wandered for a nice short walk to locate this. Good hide.

Out for a few quick caches with the geokids (ages 5 & 3) this afternoon. This one was fairly easy and Master 3 helped me retrieve it. Kids made a few swaps. Thanks for bringing us here
What a beautiful spot to spend the day relaxing around the fire, having a few drinks, cooking some chops....I'm sure some people have ignored the "no camping" sign. TFTC.
Found with Bingami & Legweak65 on a day of caching around Creswick. Lucky we had a geo friend with us who is not vertically challenged. TFTC
It was an early start for Motndarg and me this morning parking near GZ just as it was getting light. We had torches and we needed them. The GPS was jumping a lot but we got close to where we thought GZ was and started looking. Motndarg made the find, we signed the log and headed home. Thanks for the cache baranroblea and for visiting an area that we must return in the nicer weather..
Out today before daybreak, with torches lighting the way, McLookers and I ventured down the track to GZ. After a few wrong turns, we read the clues again, then bingo the penny dropped! The cache was located safe and sound. Thanks baranroblea, I liked this one.
Enjoyed the walk to this one, searched high and low before we could finally say "found it". Lovely spot. Log was a little weather affected but still ok.
Out for a day of gold fields discovery and caching in Creswick. Definitely the clue helped find this one, I might have been left hanging my head if not for it.
Thanks to baranroblea for this cache

I have walked around the lake before but today I was driving picking up a few caches on the way.
The picnic area was deserted so I had the search area to myself and I needed it as the good hide eluded me for a while.

Our GPS'rs were both going in opposite directions here, hence so did Bogonghazy and I. He got it right. I live to tell the tale. Thanks for the cache and for highlighting this spot.
We Decided to head out Creswick way and get as many caches as we could along the way, despite the on and off deluge of rain.. soaked through after first cache of day, even our Ninja Pug was challenged by this days weather.
This was one of forty odd caches we grabbed today. Forests and miserable weather does not make for a happy GPS, had us chasing our tails in circles.... Ninja Pug thought it was fun.
We eventually found GZ ... thank goodness
thanks to the CO for this cache

Found after a short search. My last cache for the day. Thanks to baranroblea for the cache.
Last of the current lot around this lake I handy found. #5 of 31 for the August challenge. It does need a new log book. Current one is a bit tatty!
Nipped into Ballarat on a rainy day with Bettyboo3747 to grab a few challenges, and grabbed a few more caches around Creswick on the way back to Daylesford.
There were some muggles fishing when we arrived, but they were preoccupied and facing the water.
We dashed into the bush, quickly found the hide, signed and dashed away.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3435. Robmc and I had been caching in Ballarat and were hoping to find a few more around Creswick on the way back to Daylesford.
This was the second one we found around the lake this afternoon. We walked down the track only to find a couple of fishing muggles but we veered into the bush and round and round we went until we found the cache. A micro-sized small and unfortunately the log is in need of replacement as it is getting quite tatty and full.
