Very quiet out on the roads this afternoon, a good find here, love the old tin.Staying 2 nights in the Lincoln National Park set us up well for a good day of caching and exploring the area. Some enquiries the day before had us driving into Port Lincoln to collect the key into the locked world heritage area of the park. It's great to have access to this, and was a great day with only a couple of others seen all day. The weather was perfect with blue skies and sunshine. The scenery stunning, great beaches, headlands and a turquoise water. Many of the caches unfound for long periods and due for a found. One had almost 3 years of unlove and many DNFs, a great find to confirm it was still there. Enjoyed watching whales splash gentle by the cliffs from above, with their loud airblows and another stunning sunset to end the day. Although we did cache on in the dark on the way back to camp well after it. For a detour to meet friends the evening before, a great choice to experience this area. Thanks for your cache.

Another long trip around AU over the top end with lots of detours. Now heading back east across the Nullarbor with a stop at Maralinga.TFTC. Was at Ceduna with Aquilus1 on the way to Coober Pedy when invited to dinner at Lincoln National Park at the bottom of Eyre Peninsula by a group of Canberra geocachers including Gliss & nibletricecakes.Camped a couple of nights and totally enjoyed caching through the most of the park including getting the Memory Cove key.Found a few unloved DNFs, lots of kangaroos, emus, whales, snakes wriggling out of caches and looking through caves.Well worth it.A nice quick find.

Today was day 8 of our journey and we awoke in the beautiful Port Lincoln National park. With Porkchop72s flight delayed and the cars date with the auto electrician pushed back till the afternoon we had some time for caching! Found with Porkchop72 and GLISS! Thanks for the cache.

Out on caching adventures on the Eyre Peninsula with Wollaston.

After our trek in 4x4 country through Memory Cove, we had a look and decided to make our way around the coast and convert some picturesque spots along this scenic route to smileys too.

This was a great spot to pull in and reinflate our Geowheels after a great day 4x4ing in the park .

Cache was soon in hand and found in good condition with lots of room in the logbook. Coffee this morning with this character of a CO made finding these caches even more fun especially after snagging a FTF.

Thanks especially to the CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain these hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

One good thing that has come out of the Covid situation, is the need to holiday in your home state. With a week or so to spend away, we decided to head to Port Lincoln - a place we had not visited before. Our first day in the area was spent exploring Lincoln National Park, and what better way to find all the interesting spots, than to find the caches which had been hidden.
This was one our last finds today while driving back out of the park. Thanks for showing us many interesting places.

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. Cool That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]

Off to the west coast for a Holiday. [^] Holiday Sal Style that is. Razz We are sightseeing - if there happens to be a cache there - great - get it. Luckily caches are in really interesting spots anyway. Cool

Day 8: Port Lincoln - Day trip to Lincoln National Park. Razz
No name to many of the tracks around here.Surprised Luckily we didn't have to go too far to find the cache - or find a place to turn around. Smile

Today we explored some of the Port Lincoln National park, driving around, walking on many different tracks, sightseeing at the beaches and surrounds and finding many different caches along the way. What an awesome day we had and such fantastic weather as well. We also were happy to inadvertently find 4 FTFs as well for the day. TFTC

Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
So I set the van up at Surfleet Campground that is in Lincoln National Park yesterday and today is a new day so it was time to explore the North east area of the park and the weather is finally looking good.
So after an enjoyable day and beautiful weather it has changed overnight so very overcast and a howling wind.
Headed up to Donington Point along the dirt to eventually make the point.
A beautiful part of the word along here and the coastline and beaches are spectacular the water is so blue and the sand so white.
Found my way in on the no name track and found somewhere to park.
I soon located this one and added my name to the log and on to the next one.
Thanks wheres wolly TFTC.

Today was my one full day in Port Lincoln, so I headed to the Lincoln National Park. I've been caching here before (in 2007) and enjoyed the scenery so it was a good chance to revisit and pickup a whole lot of new caches. Found without any problems.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 it has been a while since in SA but enjoying this visit greatly.

Visiting Port Lincoln we decided to spend the day in Lincoln NP exploring. All was going well until Mr Felix took a tumble and hurt his back, so we aborted our mission and will have to return another time. Sad

Hi there wheres wolly.

We found your cache **"NO NAME TRACK"** at 10:59:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 15741).

We enjoyed our trip around the Lincoln National Park today. (We came prepared with some cache maintenance gear, but it wasn't needed very often).

On our journey we found a wide variety of container types. We ended up finding 16 caches with 0 DNF's today. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Day Eleven of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747. Today we wandered around the Lincoln National Park, checking out all the little camping spots, beaches, and of course, caches.
The first cache for the morning, and just as short detour down a small gated road. Fortunately the cache was before the gate. Not sure what is here though. No one went past while we were here.
Thanks, Robmc.

There is not much beyond the gate Razz
It is an access to the track that follows the SWER line, which runs to Donnington Cottage and the lighthouse Smile
