Work on main street up grade is still on going this is planned to be finished 14th Dec and cache will be back active soon after
Due to redevelopment of the main street area I have had to removed this cache for safety reasons and the site has now been removed. this work is due to be completed in November and cache will be returned as soon as possible
I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Driving by late at night. Picked up ok. Then a truck decided to make a delivery over the road. Ended up spending a long time searching the available real estate
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Had a two night stopover in Invercargill, found while heading North

Today's trip from Invercargill to Dunedin was primarily to find Table Hill but there is great scenery in the Catlins to see as well, which is something I can't say for Balclutha.

Took us longer to find this one that it should've, still though got there in the end! TFTC
We stopped off here on the way back to Dunedin. Plenty of motorbikes, and the associated increased police presence, going past heading home after the Burt Munro Challenge.
We had to wait for a puase in the muggle traffic but quickly figured where we should be looking

A very amusing time here. While our lunch order was filled, we wandered down a few metres to look for a cache, trying to look like we weren't looking. The workmen nearby didn't fall for that, so I decided that explaining what we were up to was the best policy. I think they were surprised, but were polite enough to be interested in these strange Australians. We had a nice chat before moving on. Thanks Lehcier!
I think Felix II summed it up pretty well. Workmen, cachers, hunting together. One of the workmen new about caching, and now he has met one....or two....or three....or four...... Anyway, a fun little hide on a well hidden cache with a little twist..
Found with ZsaZsa7, Winglen, fitzy_1965 and Rextrex (local NZer) on our trip around the South Is after attending the New Zealand Mega. We managed to grab a few caches on travels and this was just one of them.
Thanks for the cache and the chance to see more of the South island.

A shared find with my Aussie caching mates Winglen, Zsazsa7, Sol de Lune and Fitzy-1965 as a part of the NZMEGA2012 experience and our subsequent tour.
Very distinctive pedstrian crossing abutments - most impressed. Also impressed with Mr FelixII saving the day by producing an additional logbook for the cache - thanks guys; and thanks Lehcier.

Took a bit of searching, not helped by several workmen in the vicinity ... but off they all went to Smoko, and Varuna zoomed in .... Note the log is FULL.
Accompanied with Sp00k & ciotach on travelling south/west tour, thanks for the cache and fun.
Day 11 of our NZ tour for the MEGA. Mr Felix is having a Birthday today , Hip Hip Hooray Happy Birthday.
We headed out of Dunedin today about 9.30am with no set plans but with a possibility of stopping overnight in GORE. You can't travel too far when there are so many caches to stop you every few km's. (unless you go past some of course.....)
Yet again we were leapfrogging with our new geofriends! They were heading for a Cafe for lunch. One more cache before we move on. Doh, what's that 3 workment at GZ, Mrs Felix spotted a Fish n Chip shop so we stopped there for a while to order some lunch and observe GZ hoping that the workmen might also take a lunchbreak. Instead we noticed 5 Geocachers swarming over GZ! Mr Felix rushed out to join them rather than be behind the 8 ball!
Sure enough 6 Geocachers, + 2 of (3) workmen now on the hunt the cache was turned up by Mr Felix but alas the log was full [B)]. so in the rain he raced back to the Geo Hire Car to retrieve a new log. He managed to move the car closer to replace the log, sign 6 names and collect Mrs Felix and lunch before we moved onwards.

Clever little hide this one, we were a little confused as the 2 GPS devices had 2 different caches coming up (descriptions) but we got there eventually!
Found this neat cache on our Blitz of the South Island while here for the mega event.
Many thanks for the cool cache.

Just started raining when we found the cache. Took it back to the car to sign the log then it started hailing. Wasn't keen to get back out but had to make the quick dash to return it.

Found at 3:20:00 PM. In Dunedin for the Mega and seeing some of the sights in the surrounding area.
Thanks Lehcier
Thanks Lehcier
The GPS gods were with me today as I stood in the hail searching for this cache. I'd chosen the right spot to begin my search, and with only one circumnavigation, the cache was mine! Ducked back to the car to sign it - I didn't think you'd appreciate a soaking wet log - then back into the hail to replace, all unseen. There are some advantages to caching in inclement weather! TFTC, Lehcier. =^.^=
