A delightful walk along the track listening to the birds and spotting occasional wildflowers.Arrived at GZ where others had said plenty of places to hide it, and I searched them all. But I decided I wasnt leaving without the Addlington clue, so I read much earlier logs which gave me an idea of what to look for, and I realised GZ had taken me to the wrong side of the track. Log signed, returned as found, and the first on Ewen clue locked in and awaiting the finding of the next four. A top spot to hide the cache. TFTC jasenjanine.
The last of three caches I found on my way home from a nearby event. After finding Start or Finish, I couldn't just leave this blue frown here, especially for the reason that it had been replaced since I visited last. It did take another good while to locate here again, and the rain plus a few mozzies certainly didn't help. After a while. I managed to shine my phone torch in just the right spot, and found it in a locale I had already checked at least twice! I signed the log happily and returned the beastie to its lair, before strolling back to the car and home for a well earned rest. It did pelt down however, but thank goodness I had my brolly with me! Thanks for the cache jasenjanine.
I headed out in the geo-car for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few along the way up the coast.I found your cache, Addlington on Ewen today. This is my 2769 find. What a beautiful spot. Thanks for hide jasenjanine and maintenance dickbev.jasenjanine, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Many, many thanks to our local friends 'dickbev' for checking and replacing this cache for us. Cache is now a short 90mm PVC container hidden in the same spot .. complete with the clue for 'B'All good to go ..
Gonna have to log a DNF here too. Plenty of spots to hide, but not in any that I checked
Given that this cache has proven to be quite a challenge at times over the years and that the last seven DNF's are by cachers with no more than 32 finds, i highly suspect that this one is still in play. I shall attempt to get it checked on by a local player in the meantime.
Saw the last 4 attempts were unsuccessful. Ours was too. Looked al around as per the clue but no luck
A rude awakening by a very early phone call meant it was time to continue our caching day. With an early start it means some early caches before we meet up with Willis007 for our bike ride assault on Ewan Maddock Dam. A quick brekky a pack up and we were on our way. We started from where we left off, collecting caches in the Caloundra area and working our way to Landsborough.
We set off riding around the dam collecting caches and signing logs. This place is awesome with some really quiet and beautiful areas. We found all caches around here today; some really interesting caches and a few ammo tins, (love an ammo tin cache). We even visited a couple of caches twice as we backtracked around completing the multis of the area. The puzzles were fun to do and between the three of us, we had the solutions to all. Thank you for the caches, we had a lot of laughs today and some good exercise on those hills. Thank you to my caching buddies for the day out, it was a fun day.

Heading to this area today to find some caches around Ewen Dam with chamad and Triple Turmoil. We headed around the dam on bikes, others were enjoyable walks.
The cache was quickly spotted, log signed and all replaced as found.
Thank you jasenjanine for the cache and for bringing me here.

Chamad and I decided to meet up on this lovely "getting closer to spring" day. We need to get 555 Sunshine Coast caches for a Challenge cache we collected last weekend. Let's just say I am a looooooooong way off. So we spent Saturday afternoon and way into the night collecting caches and so early the next morning that I am wondering why we bothered to go to sleep
This cache was one of the early morning ones. Our second day saw us on our way at 6am to meet Willis007 at 730 (which ended up being at 830) to ride around Ewan Dam. This ride was pretty challenging at times. Certainly got the heartrate up. Either by riding up a steep hill, walking up an even steeper hill or even riding down a steep hill at full speed. Lots of fun and lots of exercise.
Needed the clue in this one. But as gz was approached and the hint button was pressed....well, the clue was there. Anyway, still needed to sign the log to get the smiley.

What beautiful coloured moss you are.
Strokes coloured moss.
Pretty.
Now i have all the clues !
*holds all the clues up high*
Now, nothing can stop me... nothing!
Except perhaps time.
Curse you, time.

Thankyou jasenjanine for adding geocaches to the game like skin on an onion.
Happy tears.

After the CITO I headed to Sunshine Coast with Selva Girls and CuriousQuest. To grab a few caches
The count for today was CITO, 7 Traditional, 8 mystery, multi and one AL with 5 waypoints. One was for second last spot on my 4 loop.
Fun day caching.
Sorry for the generic post.

Thanks for the cache and taking us here jasenjanine.
Out on our geocaching adventure with E_Smiley and Karicka , we found this one along the way as it was on route to some of the others we were looking for in this area. Really beautiful bushland around here. We saw a lovely large python on our walk today.
Thanks jasenjanine.

Thanks jasenjanine.

Walking in here for a few of the caches.

This one had been on our to-do list for a while now after falling in love with the area and this series of caches. We finally made it today and set off early before the predicted storms could hit. The typical Sunshine Coast humidity is starting to creep up as we get closer to summer, but the trails provide some cooling shade cover in sections. Filled in a calendar date, replaced the missing clue (now on waterproof paper in a bag inside the bag that holds the log sheet) and left the rest of the caches for other days to come back to enjoy more trail walks. TFTC
Out and about with Kammo07 and the rest of the family, including the Geodog, for a day away from the house. The weather was perfect for a stroll in an area we haven't been to before and it was nice to see other people with the same idea.
After following the track for a short way, we came upon the GZ, the cache was in hand very quickly and the log signed.
All is good with the cache.

Out for a morning of caching at Ewen Maddock.
This was the final geocache we found today. After reading some logs we had a fair idea of where this cache would be. Sure enough a few minutes later and cache was in hand. TFTC

11/8/20 12:49 almost worth coming just to check out the carpet of growth on the tree. Was adding a hidden month to the Jasmer finds with this. TFTC jasenjanine
My muggle friend Emma wanted to go for a walk and I suggested we come out here for a little 5km walk. We were so happy we picked here as it is such beautiful spot with lots of beautiful trees and paths. We passed a big family going for a walk with their dogs which was nice to see .At gz we soon spotted this cache. Thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Out for a morning walk and couldn't resist a cache or two. TFTC TNLNSL. All is well here. Beautiful big wood.
Wow!! Big wood alright!! . And a tiny container. That is a beautiful spot. We saw a few big stumps too that must be remnants of the logging done when the maddock family were first settling the area. A guess, anyway. Another lovely walk to a GZ, thanks JnJ

Scottish singer songwriter Gerry Rafferty died aged 63 after a long illness. Rafferty had been a member of Stealers Wheel, who had the 1973 US No.3 & UK No.8 single 'Stuck In The Middle With You' and had the solo 1978 UK No.3 and US No.2 single 'Baker Street.'

We did a few circles near GZ then read some previous logs and pretty well figured where it might be. Found it well blended in. TFTC

NyssaFlutterby and I were on a supposedly gentle Wacky Wednesday today, as I was still in recovery mode from something nasty earlier in the week. We continued our journey around this part of the dam, when a very large yellow leaf landed right across my left eye, making me have a near heart attack and in turn almost inducing the same for Nyssa. Picking my heart up off the ground and shoving it back where it belonged, I then convinced Nyssa that it was ok, there was no snake, and we continued on our way.
At GZ I noticed something on each side of the track of interest. The phone pointed to one in particular, so I headed there, but sure enough, it was actually the other side where I needed to be to make my find.
Signed as the mosquitoes took full advantage of my logbook and pen holding activities. No clue found in the cache tho.
Thanks for the cache jasenjanine.

Amazing spot, forgot our pen couldn't sign log. Watch out for the goanna that lives here!
I was dropping someone at the train station in Landsborough and had just enough time to race over and grab this one while in the vicinity. Didn't think much of it at the time, but I realised the next morning that it meant I'd solved this wholes series, allowing me to set my sights on the final. Thanks for the cache, jasenjanine!
Took a bit to locate this one. I suggest looking on the other side of the track than where your GPS is pointing... TFTC!
My phone couldn’t quite work out where we needed to be but finally the cache was located. TFTC.
After a brief foray into Landsborough for much needed sustenance, we once again found ourselves on the trails. We had bypassed this one on the way out as coffee was calling. Maybe we should have had more coffee as it required a bit of searching before we finally uncovered the container. Thanks for the cache
Having collected 3 of the Ewen Maddock hints one of the missions today was to pick up the remaining 2. Mrs Woodyrothwell is doing a Steptember challenge so we were keen to rack up the steps as well.
Once again my wife made the find and handed me the cache just as 2 female hikers came out of nowhere to walk past us. I had the cache in hand and I told my wife to take a photo of the log to justify our presence. As they closed in she said hello and gleefully yelled out how cool the mossy logs in the area were as she snapped away. The hikers agreed but were also slightly concerned that a woman could be so excited about moss so didn't hang around. Who's the weirdo now? I was so impressed with how easily she could enthusiastically lie to strangers and I had to question how good is she at it to people she's married to.
I signed the log and was about to return the cache when some cyclists came out of nowhere to ride passed us. It was suddenly peak hour on the trail. Mrs Woodyrothwell was about to launch into another exuberant rendition on the fascination of moss but the cyclists said hello and didn't stop. Don't oversell the drama mama! tftc

Found today! Sneaky, was looking on the floor but a little higher. Forgot pen, so took photo
Came back for this one with help from team benders you could tell she had her geosenses happening thanks. Unfortunatly two blobs of glue on the lid was all that was left of the clue. TFTC
We took a Geoexpert who had Geosense and found the geocache! It required brainzzz and using clues from previous finders. It was super cool that this cache had survived through probable floods and plant growth. Btw, we also did about a 20 metre radius as our app wasn’t too accurate - but it’s there!
Looked about for 1/2 an hour particularly where the previous logs suggested with no success today either very well disguised or gone walk about.
This one had us stumped for a few minutes and wandering from one side to the other while slapping at bugs.
After reading a few previous logs, we located the log and signed the log.

It was a lovely day to visit the dam. Wombles and myself enjoyed our stroll to GZ in the dappled shade of the forest. It took us a little while to find the correct hidey hole but eventually got there. After leaving our scribble the container was replaced as found.

Wednesday. Slow Puncture were out today with 2 long-time muggle friends (now known as the Merry Chippers) for the purpose of a bushwalk combined with showing them caching. Firstly we took them for a walk/climb up Mt Cooee. Then down again and down to business.
This one was found in a large mossy log by Leslie (the compass kept going to one side of the pathway, but Leslie made the find in the end on the other side). She was delighted to find their first ever cache.
This was the 1st of 3 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***jasenjanine***, for showing us this place.

Today, I had decided to go caching with some caching buddies, but had pulled out due to the amount of work I needed to get finished. Then I got a message from another caching buddy. She was taking the day off to get a few things sorted, but wanted to find a few caches too. As we would only be out for a few hours, I decided that the work could wait for that long. I picked up my caching buddy and we headed north.
After finding a nearby cache, we continued on to this one. We had a few issues with our phones refusing to settle at GZ. The map on my phone showed GZ on one side of the track, but when we had no luck there, we searched the other. There, the cache was located and the log signed. TFTC

Cache found as per the hint as I cached around the area with Selva Girls today. Saw a muggle with 2 very tired, wet and contented dogs as she passed us and chatted about the walking tracks in the area. Tftc jasenjanine
Looked for a while but couldn't find it. The gpsr wouldn't settle on any on point . Mozzies were crazy there too.
We have the clue but will be back to find this one
We have the clue but will be back to find this one
Should I? Yep! Just another 1.2km round trip. Can I beat the storm? Who cares! Can I beat the mozzies? Turns out, not quite. Don't care! Would like to end on ten around the dam for the afternoon, so I'm into it. Brisk walk, quick find, fun had, satisfaction achieved! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. So I ventured and gained the next clue. Tftc Jasenjanine
found last week with ozi but forgot to log. nice n easy find. lovely walk. tftc.
After a DNF last year, it was time to pay this one another visit.
After looking in similiar places as last time, I looked at the clue and the object referred to did not match the coordinates but I guess was close enough.
At GZ, a close examination soon had the cache in hand.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.

Met up with CDAH55 today to do some more caches around Ewen Maddock dam. Some he had already done and some I already had done and a few neither of us had done.
We completed this by bicycle. This is the only way to travel. By the end of the day this Energiser Bunny's batteries had run out. We were two cachers possessed, no stopping for rests or for snacks. We don't have time for those things, like normal people. We were determined that we would complete what we had started.
Unfotunately we ran out of daylight, and will have to come back and complete 3 more. CDAH55 complained about saddle soreness, I told him to toughen up. Full of sympathy I am.
Some of the distances were misleading as it is "by the crow flies". Unfortunately we are not crows and cannot fly over water. I don't think my bicycle would have approved of going for a swim.

Almost back at our car from the letterbox td033, we saw that we passed this cache. So we turned back and got it. Lots of big wood here. Tftc
This was one of those caches that had us looking EVERYWHERE in this area but we could just not find it.
For me there was one spot that just kept crying out for a cache, but there was nothing there... There was evidence that many others had searched this spot also. It was right where GZ was sending us, but nothing was there...!
There was no way the Zooy and I could get this far and then get a DNF. So after a little listing research, there was something that stood out, but just stood out. Using that new information, we were able to identify an area that was about 10mtrs off where the GPSr was telling us to be.
With a little more field investigating, the well hidden cache was soon found.
Well, it has been a long time since ZooyDes got together and headed out on an adventure. We had to get the team back together and we decided that we would get out and hit up Ewen. It is surprising, as this is really the only place on the Coast that we can cache together and actually have caches that neither of us have found.
Thanks for another cache out here on the Dam jasenjanine. The cache is in good order.
It's amazing what a good chat between friends and Mother Nature can do for the soul. As in isolation, Mother Nature keeps all of your secrets and listens without judgment.

Met up with MinkosDes today to do some long overdue caching. We weren't going home until we found 100% of our finds and luckily we found all that we had set out for!
This particular cache was about 10m out according only to my GPS. After searching for some time, I resorted to a spoiler which MinkosDes eventually identified. Very good hide!

I was staying up at Maleny for the weekend as a result of attending a wedding on my wife's side of the family. As part of the arrangements, I negotiated compensation, for having to suffer through the various events, in the form of a day of caching. The wife and daughter would travel up with her sister and I was free to roam the countryside on the way to Maleny, gathering caches at my leisure.
The stroll around Ewen Maddock Dam was my main mission for the day, so after gathering some other caches on the drive up, it was time to grab the walking pole and hit the tracks. Unfortunately this one defeated me today, with the GPS bouncing around and plenty of muggle cyclists passing by, and I had to leave here empty handed. TFTC

I was asked by some friends to take them out for a day of Geocaching as they really enjoyed our last adventure. Today's goal was to finish what we had started at Ewen Maddock Dam.
After a previous DNF on this cache with Dahumbug I decided to have another stab as we walked past. Success! How easy was that! Signed and replaced.
TFTC jasenjanine and Konie for replacement.

We had visited this area to seek out a puzzle cache that had been placed by Konie.
After completing that cache, we had noticed that this cache was not too far away so we decided to have a go at finding it.
Unfortunately, we had an appointment to go to and were unable to find it in the time we had.
The GPS had difficulty deciding on a set point so we went around in circles.
May need to have another go at this one another time.
Thanks [blue]jasenjanine[/blue]

We were hoping to do the full series of these caches but left it far too late. So only one down for today. Still intrigued what rhe clue is. I assumed it would a written code. But perhaps it was the colour of the box??? Well camouflaged. Looking forward to completing the series. TFTC
