No not today Suspect it may have dropped into a small cavity but difficult to see anything in there
Like previous searchers, there was only really one place it could be and there was definitely no cache there !
After trying for this one a year ago at the end of a caching day and being frustrated by the coordinates jumping all over the place I returned today at the start of the working day after an appointment on Thorndon Quay and was successful, in fact I could believe I hadn't found it last time!
Another geo cache found with Lance_bu
Nice hide
I like the idea of the whole series

The bag for this is seriously way too big and causes the log to get scrunched. Also the lid will not close properly. I won't raise a NM for it but some pre-emptive maintenance wouldn't go amiss.
I decided I'd like to go for a walk and since there's some caches along this path I figured why not do both walking and caching? Thanks Yeetrees.
Nice quick find with MrsOchiai. We are little bit worried about the security camera, hopefully we were okay. Tftc!
First find walking the series with paige and Casey. Thanks for this series on a lovely day. Tftc.
Cycled in to Wellington from Melling to do some shopping. A wonderful Wellington day, warm, sunny and no wind. The harbour was like a mill pond. TFTC
First one of this series which I can do progressively during my lunch hours from work. Tftc.
Found on the way home from the Wellington Marathon. The runners were lucky. The weather was calm and clear for the race, but is raining quite hard now.
Thank you

This was quick and easy. The zip lock bag is really much too big so it's difficult to get the log out and back in to its container. TFTC
A quick find while passing in the car on a very quiet Sunday. No-one around so couldn't resist stopping. Tftc.
Found on a Sunday outing with NZ1. Been thinking of having a hunt for the series for a few months and the opportunity came about today. Caught train to Petone and completed on bikes. Enjoyed and thanks to CO for the cashes. TNLNSL.
Completed with Glad-NZ on a Sunday outing. Started from Petone end and made our way on bikes to Wellington. Great series thanks to CO.
#2198 I have had my eyes on this series of caches and finally got around to collecting them this afternoon after getting bored with the Super Bowl half way through. Perfect day to get out on the bike! Parked at Ngauranga and first biked South collecting caches to Two-Seven then biked back and headed North collecting caches as I went all the way to One. Great little power trail. Two seem to be MIA so I will return to collect those when they are reinstated. There was a muggle smoking at GZ of TwoSix so I collected this one first. Quick find. TFTC!
I decided to pop down to Wellington for the long weekend and actually spend time in the city for a change.
A lovely day, and I had a plan, sorry but they are recycled logs, enjoyed the walk and even got a split moment of silence when I could appreciate the views, would love to have gotten a photo with the train, car, bike, plane and ferry in at the same time, but not this time. Most caches were quick easy finds but a couple of tricky ones thrown in the mix. TFTC (my coords had me on the other side of the road, but quick look around the area and it was obvious where it would be)

The last of 15 found on this route today, a Sunday afternoon walk with Mrs tbird and the geohound. Needed 12 more to reach 150 caches for January, a personal best.
This was actually the first cache we looked for after parking the car nearby. The coords seemed to indicate we should be heading onto the roadway. Had a bit of a look around without success. Moved on to Recycle TwoSix. After we returned from 14 successful finds we decided we’d have another look. Located it fairly quickly this time. #1059. Thanks for all the caches, Yeetrees.

First to find in 2016, yeahh. Walking from city to Ngauranga to find the serie. TFTC
Thought I would tackle this series starting from the south. Container wasn't closing so rewrapped logbook and made it fit a bit better. Could do with a smaller plastic bag. TFTC
Found, on the way from the oldest NZ Geocache back to Wellington.
It was a nice walk. Good hiding places and all the muggles paced away rapidly
This one took a litte bit longer to get it out there ... finally managed

I found and retrieved this one without any problems. Screwed up when replacing it and I dropped it. It just needs someone with a pole (piece of bamboo) to push it out.
Last of these caches to grab this morning. I had to skip 26 due to a muggle sitting right at GZ. Another quick find. TFTC
First find of the day. We decided to do the trail backwards. Was exciting finding the first one and starting the adventure! We ended up finding all of them except #15 and #3. A very fun day!
1/27. Been waiting for a good time to do this one. Today was good- no work, not too hot, not too cold, and most importantly not windy! We started at this end decided to walk up to Petone. Easy walk but tired feet by the end. The advice is good about avoiding the walking on the highway at the end if you can, we decided we wold but it was not enjoyable, some of the way you can still walk behind the barrier but then you have to walk on the road. Did not feel safe. Just as you get to the over bridge a footpath appears. Had one cache we couldn't locate #3, and another we couldn't look for because a muggle was in his car right next to it #15, but the rest pretty easily found. The trains surprisingly sneak up on you! Really enjoyed doing this lot, completed with Bartys44. Completed the 24 Caches in 24 hours achievement.

#860. Popped down after tea to do my cache of the day after stuffing up the coordinates for a multi in town earlier in the evening. This one was a potential park and grab with parking available at the storage depot nearby. Well the GPS tried to convince me it was across the road somewhere. But the cache description suggested otherwise. I searched up and down the path for something that looked suitable based on the hint but saw nothing. Only after a much closer fossick did I realise the GZ was very well hidden tonight. Tucked in behind a pile of garbage bags! Cache found quickly after that. The lid is not closing but log was OK. Couldn't detect any hidden code on this one with my little tool. TFTC
862 After work walk to Petone. Collected 25 out of the 27. Then caught train back to central.
Today it was time for leaving The North and continue our trip in New Zealand on The South Island. We got up early and had plenty of time, when we came to the terminal for the Interislander Ferry, so we decided to take a walk on this "Re-cycle or Recycle" route and find some caches.
We found all the 8 caches, that we were looking for, and they were quick and easy finds all of them . When we found "Twenty", we had to go back, so we didn`t miss the Ferry.
Thanks for the caches.

Out and about on two wheels with Scrabbly. No problem finding this one. TFTC Cheers!
Out for a walk/ride on a warm blustery day. Perfect set of caches to visit only problem half of Wellington seem to agree so could get to many because of muggles. Will go back to the others when it is quieter. TFTC
Ahh what awesome caches I have seen on my travels this week , from fake logs, to mint tins stuck to posts, to nanos under benches to awesome tree climbing cache hides, his week has been an awesome time to check out the new caches and of course old!! It was great to see all the different places too, like nelson, and greytown, and Blenheim of course!! Then there was the small tiny areas, where we stopped to see earthquake museums, with of course the ''rural' caches as I like to call them. then of course there was the significance of stop offs; like the bulla swing bridge, where I went, saw and conquered there and back twice, while dad stooof o the comfort of the flat grass, smiling, waving and taking pictures Funny, but the best part about that bridge was when the people who worked there, started to come across when I was I was about half way going back ,so they had to get past, so they tilted the bridge sideways, onto its side, so then I could get past, it was pretty scary, but awesome too!! Then the bridge bounced and went side to side and swung it was really awesome! Then as they walked to the other side they were jumping and swinging from side to side, it was great fun!!:)
But anyway the caches I encoun tered on my trip were rreally good, each one was different in some way, including popmacs mint trail series in the north island, which was a really neat idea!!
Anyway, I would like to say thanks tov all the great cache owners who took their time to place all these caches Thank you and well yeah TFTCs all round

It's holiday time and I'm off to the South Island for a few days holiday with the great nightowl19. On the way down to the ferry we decided some caches were in order. There have been some handily placed on the route we're taking so a small diversion is in order to move my total slowly but surely to the magical 3000 figure. Have also pencilled in an Earth cache, puzzle and multi for later so diversity is the key
Approaching ferry o clock so time for a couple more. The end one of this series for me, I pick away at them as I pass

Last one already? Just the shorter end of the walk of course, and the other ones will be done tomorrow. Thus took quite a search as our ideas about what the hint meant became more lateral and desperate. Eventually found in the obvious place where I had looked first, but not seen. Now a quick walk back to the car and off for Christmas brunch. Thanks for an enjoyable morning.
Hooray! did it! finished all them off in one afternoon with only three DNF's very satisfying. I really hope this caching binge will get me through the week (rather than further my need for caches)
Today is a dot day, one of only 3 left for November and so a day I'd like to go caching on. Today is also the much awaited day when I travel down to South Island to start my new job. Have been laid up with poorly feet for a few weeks so only cache and grabs for a wee while now so quite nice to go on a bit of a road trip to increase my caching finds on the North Island. My intention will be over the next few weeks to redress that balance and get my South Island total skipping along.
Left Manawatu to overcast skies and threat of rain and wind still gusting from time to time, good old Spring.
Into the last half hour or so before check in time at the ferry terminal. Worked out with some strategic (cheeky) parking I could limit the walking necessary to make these finds. No problems with any of the six finds today, have pretty much done most of them this side of the flyover/bridge.
Got talking to a nearby muggle on a smoke break. Usual story showed interest, hope he's a convert, seemed keen, we'll see
T F T C Yeetrees, and a great series to do to/from the ferry

Out from the Radiance of the Seas for a great day of caching before my tour of Lord of the Rings sites. Put on about 10 miles and picked up a few blisters but it was worth it. In from Las Vegas - TFTC
Small steps, but I'm getting there! Tftc

Coords were pointing me to the middle of the road so ended up searching on the wrong side for a minute but saw there were no objects that the hint could be implying. Quick find once I spotted the likely place. Thanks!
Found the first of this series. Should be an epic day! Got a bit of a glare from MayaMudzi and AbsoluteDelirium... Might have gloated a bit too much! TFTC
I don't usually like to copy / paste logs but do make the occasional exception for 'power trails' Today I had some time to spare in Wellington on my way to Melbourne so decided to come out here and try and find these cache trail caches. I was last on the other end of the trail about 2 years ago so it was good to get back and get some more of these. No problem finding this one with the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
Detoured on the way home to grab after some night caching over Tawa way, the final of the series for me to pick up. I tried for this when I picked up the others a few weeks ago but was thwarted by a whole heap of muggles who were moving bits and pieces in and out of the nearby premises. All clear tonight for a quick grab. TFTC
Jumped on the bike today with Yeetrees to accompany him on a maintenance mission on this series. A great time for me to finally log this series at the same time as helping to replace a few containers and log books. It took us 1.5 hours in total from leaving the car to getting back to it.

Lucky last. Been to this building several times in the past for a variety of meetings. TFTC #5881
GPS was insisting we should be in the middle of the road. Had a quick look around, but unsure co-ords & too many muggles meant we moved on pretty quickly.
Nice easy find. Only did this one of the series today - it's just what I needed, another started-but-not-completed series.
Easy find once I'd backed up a bit, GPS was a bit spinny but the clue helped. tftc Yeetrees
Gps sending me all over place. had to use hint and found by process of elimination. TFTC.
