Well looking at the conditions in the photo you can see why i didn't attempt it in the snow, esp thinking that it very possibly would have been washed away as the water level was up to bridge looking at the foliage around.
Popped over the bridge from Katie's sneaky hide and found a park next to the the row of motorhomes casting a big shadow. Walked down the GZ and crossed the rubicon a couple of times. Hadn't noticed the changes when plotting the Lawrence caches and would've still been looking for the fisherman's signature container. Obviously had rolled away and floated down the stream. Found the 200ml clear container that Tufty replaced in hide. SL and returned to hide. TFTC GZ Jim.
This one took a while. The little woman went right to where she found it after it was replaced last time and it wasn't there. Expanded the GZ and I found it further away. Seems someone a wee bit precious didn't like where it was hidden and put it where the whole town could see the hide. I SL and it got put back under the correct spot with an anchor out of Eyeshot of the neighbours. All is well here Onslow Fisherman, TFTC
This was our 18.th New Zealand cache on our trip!
Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache.

After finishing cycling the Clutha Gold trail we had some spare time before catching a shuttle back to Alexandra. It was good to have some spare time in this historic town and hunt down some caches like this one. The coordinates took me backwards and forwards over both footbridges before it was found. Fortunately all was very quiet here this afternoon, TFTC.
Found eventually. Looked under wrong one. Wife missed it the first time, webs to blame I'd say. TFTC. Lovely spot.
Wandered over here after having dinner. The GPS first lead me past it but it just made more sense so I backtracked for the quick find. Enjoyed the bridges along here. TFTC #9941
I was poking around in one place for quite a while as it fitted the hint. But it didn't quite fit the coordinates. Feeling disappointed I started to walk off to find the next cache BUT there was another place that matched the hint. Yay! There it was.
Thanks
Thanks
Good to see this one back up and running. Found on our way home after the long weekend. Lovely walk along the stream. TFTC
Quite cute the way there are the two signicant streams running so close to each other with such rustic bridges over them. Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.
I am en route to central Otago after flying into Dunedin and picking up daughters car left at the airport for me, to look after grand kiddies for a couple of weeks, which will be a great delight as i dont get to see them very often living so far from us, in the North Island.

DNF. Given some of the wild and woolly weather we've been having lately, I wouldn't be surprised if this cache has become a casualty. We were convinced of the location but three of us eyeballing the location saw nothing.
Never would have known this was here if it wasn't for looking for a cache.

I can sort of say that I found it. I searched for the original cache but all the hidey holes were empty so I replaced the cache with a new 200ml Sistema container with a logbook.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today on our way from Milton to Lawrence and Roxburgh. This is a very nice place, therefore a 'fave' added!
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.

Some time ago I looked for this one but to no avail. Armed with more up to date info, I soon found it.
Found the cache reasonably quickly. Co-ords were a bit off and glad didn't have to try and traverse the next set of stairs which collapsed. It is in good condition.
Took a lot longer than it should of ( just blowing of the cobwebs from my geo-senses) but got there in the end. Nice wee hiding spot and great location. TFTC
Got it this time, an easy find with the geo-nana bright and early in the morning before anyone else was up. TFTC
After biking the Roxborough to Beaumont leg of the Clutha Gold Trail we stopped at the dairy for one of their HUGE ice creams and went for a wander to pick up the cache nearby. TFTC
Thanks for the Cache.
On an overnight excursion off the Radiance of the Seas and stopped in town for a bathroom break. I skipped it and found the cache.

I was in NZ at the end of last year and have only managed to log my finds - sincere apologies but it happens sometimes.

We started off on the wrong track but was corrected by our thankful gps! You don't want to go swimming with the fish so please be careful!! Tftc
Have been meaning to stop for this one for a while and pleased we did as it is a lovely walk alongside the stream. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
I had to really reach for this one, replaced not quite so far in. Found with debsnz
From Gore to Dunedin via..... Ettrick. GPS had me about 10 m out. The hint we most appreciated. Thanks for the hide.
just a quick dash to find this as our last in the Lawrence area. Had no luck last time.
This one has gone again so replaced today. Slight change in coordinates too.

Tried and tried, went away then came back to look for cache, but still could not locate.

Just loving all the old local history, found with Emvy_us on day five of our southern tiki tour while attending the Dunedin Mega. TFTC
Another great find on the Emvy_Us / Waiiti20 mega tour of the Southern South Island. TFTC
Pulled up here not know what to expect and to our surprise, it was like a little haven. Beautiful area for sure. Found without any trouble and replaced exactly where we found it. A favourite from us for sure. Thanks Onslow Fisherman
I left a feeling trenchant reminder about geocaching etiquette and replacing the cache precisely where it was. As a result, I had to wade to reach GZ, and then my cap blew off into the stream to compound my momentary chagrin. Left it well-hidden *and* accessible for the next cachers as I squelched back to the car. Loved it! TFTC
The GPS wasn't particularly co-operative here but the clue helped us make a quick find. Signed the log after many names we recognized. Thanks for the hunt.
Pulled in here for lunch coming up to 2pm, and there was a cache not far so went for the grab before the feed. Down behind the ambulance station, hmmm not what I expected to find. I love old railways but not sure how it went down the creek. Anyway the cache was quickly in hand luckily without dropping it or things could have been interesting. Then off for a nice toasted sandwich and a DB for lunch. Thanks Onslow Fisherman.
Found on the trip to the NZ mega with Sam walkers. Got to this gz and found the cache in the creek. Luckly the cache wasnt wet and we replaced the cache in a nice dry place TFTC
IT was a bit of a giggle getting down to the cache, bobbing in a snag in the stream.
We got it, signed and then returned it firmly to place.
I think Tealby had a little effort reaching to where we had firmly placed it.
SamWalkers caching with Mr Roo on the way to NZ Mega.

A bit scary crossing the bridge in the rain but it proved to be not too slippery.... but I did get very wet knees retrieving the cache. TFTC.
1938 penny spied in this cache. Took a while to find the access, but we did not need the 111 call after all. Love the bridges. GPS signal not good here, searched a couple of items before going to the obvious, then noting the GPS almost zero here too!

However great piece of history written up, thanks.

There is probably a need for Onslow Fisherman to check this site as neither ajbenn nor wandercat could find anything and we note no one has found it during August.
