We were making our way north to Hettinger, ND. We stopped at the little wayside store and made the view.
Stopped to do this while on a 15 state geocaching road trip. Thanks for the interesting earthcache and bit of local history. We were not able to answer question #3 because of the position of the sun made it difficult to see the white band. TFTEC
Thank you for hosting this earthcache. We stopped by already knowing some of the history of these Buttes. History is here! Headed to North Dakota. Greetings from central Oklahoma.

Stopped by on our way south. Team SAS. The things you learn as you travel the country. Who needs to go to another country to learn something interesting. I still have a lot to learn about the land that I love.
US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 22. Time to cross a few more US states of the list for Caching, starting in Casper, Wyoming. Today we set off from Rapid City to go North to get to North Dakota. A travel day, but a high priority on caching. We saw quite a few small towns along the way and got to explore a lot of out of the way spots. Things here were not quite as straight forward as they seemed, it seems I do not know as much about these landforms as I had hoped. I hope the answers we provided were OK. E-mail sent by Sol de Lune for all three of us. Thanks.

Heading north from Rapid City via Sturgis and Spearfish heading to North Dakota ending up in a small town call Belfield
Our main aim was to visit and geocache in a few more US States.
Greetings from Canberra Australia.
Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax. Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, South & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.

Heading out of Rapid City towards somewhere in North Dakota...grabbing caches as we went.
Stopped at this earthcache and starting looking at the structures....working out answers. After looking for while we changed our original guess and finally came up with soemthing that seem more realistic. All answers were sorted and our e-mail sent.
An interesing area, thanks for highlighting it us and greetings from Australia.....

October Road Trip 2013
I had five days off of work and decided to head west on a road trip to try and finish up some challenge caches that I have been working on. I left Minnesota to drive to western Nodak, up into Saskatchewan, looped through Montana, heading home through Sodak, and finished up in Minnesota again. It was a fun trip by myself. I ended up with 2751 new miles on the car and caching in 67 different counties and 70 different DeLorme pages. Thanks to all the cache hiders that made this a possibility, especially in the desolate areas of North and South Dakota.
Nice little pull off here to offer some history with my geology. The sun was just rising behind me as I gathered the information and took some photos.

TFTEC This was a nice place to stop, rest, learn, and relax a little. Always good to learn a little more history of the areas in which we travel. Thanks for adding to the geocache world of fun. Email on its way.
Found with running Geocaching friends Dreams91, RJMaher MaherAE, Getnthinr. Thanks for allowing us to learn about the area via this EarthCache. I am sending the answers for our group. Photo included here. We finished half marathon in ND. Doing the Center of the Nation 5-day half marathon series. Sightseeing now and SD half marathon tomorrow. And onward.
Found this earthcache on my 4100 mile road trip from Oklahoma - New Mexico while taking the long route! Very cool area. Email on the way!
