I love this location, but it's probably best for someone close by to place a geocache. Hope to come back and find a new one in its place.
Not wanting to be beaten after myu DNF earlier in January I visited again today....much better armed!!
Still couldn't find, looked thoroughly so suspect it might have been muggled over the extremely busy NY period.
Maybe cache owner could check?
Interetingly the first time my iphone app took me directly to an area that exactly matched the description and hint. This time my iphone said it was 14m away south......down the beach (at low tide) and in the water! Presumably the phone system accuracy is very variable!
Also, tide was the highest I've ever seen at Castle Rock....as the description says this makes the rock hopping that much more interesting/challenging!

Looks like I only try to find this cache just after it has been muggled Only had my phone with me, and the satellite picture shows GZ in the water. However, I quite thoroughly checked out the nearby area that matched the hint - but couldn't see it.
Searched high and low but we may suspect its gone missing over the new years. May want to check up on that. Team Giles
Been wanting to do this one for a while. What an awesome cache location. Earns a fav point. Picked up Yoda TB. TFTC
Incredible spot of beauty. Cool sea breezes and clear water...a good spot for a picnic or rest on a Spit to Manly walk. Dropped off Orca TB to travel as we are right on the water's edge. Discovered yoda TB my pal picked up and we will move him along. TFTC!
Shortly after reading the fascinating story about the attempted assassination of the Duke of Edinburgh at Clontarf Reserve, we took a short detour from the Manly Scenic Walk to find this cache. I thoroughly enjoyed clambering over rocks and avoiding the waves on the way to this one. Definitely one of the more adventurous caches I have come across in a while. Left YODA TB and a very well deserved favourite point. TFTC.

Heute gings von Manly zum Taronga Zoo.
Um an diesen Container zu kommen, wurde es richtig spannend. Deswegen, und wegen der schönen Aussicht gibt es einen Favoritenpunkt.

Mrs F and I are enjoying a week in Sydney being "Tourists", something we haven't done here for 20+ years. Today we had a great walk from Manly to The Split Bridge and while it was a bit drizzly early soon we enjoyed blue skies and beautiful views. I scurried down the stairs and along the beach to search for this cache while Mrs F rested on the path. Luckily for me, unlike a couple of earlier caches, I found this one quickly and was able to grab and log this one and quickly return up the stairs to continue our walk
Took TB 'The Traveller'
Thanks The Spindoctors

There was a family looking around in the rocks where the cache appeared to be. I assumed they were Geocachers and asked if they were looking for the cache. "What's a cache?" they asked. Oops! It looked like honesty was the best policy, so I explained Geocaching to them. They really liked the sound of it, and in seconds their son had found the cache. I think we have some new Geocachers now. I dropped off a Travel Bug. Great cache spot.
With the right Timing it was possible to reach the Cache with dry feet W-Nuss found the Box in its place, congratulations TFTC!

A great spot and fortunately a suitable implement to assist with the retrieve was near by
Finding this cache was the easy part. As geodaughter struggled across the rocks, geomum raced ahead and spotted it, but couldn't grab it. In the end it was a team effort with geodaughter getting her hands on the prize after using a stick to extricate the cache- we replaced the cache in a slightly more accessible spot.

Headed out with the family on a cold and blustery day. Yes the cache was missing, but a new one is in its place.
Had a very brief look - wasn't I confident based on the number of dnfs in a row. But then again, I made it harder on myself by looking at the photos from the log of another cache. For a while there was a very confused Chudles.
Searched for about 20min.
Looking at the photo that is lodged we where in the right area.

Unfortunately today we couldn't find the cache along the Spit to Manly walk. Tide was coming in fast so we couldn't have a proper search, but we will be back soon to have another try.
I did not have the hint with me, only the coordinates which indicated 10 towards the sea, so I went for a swim to refresh myself.
I searched on the face of the rock and found nothing.

Came back at low tide and had a proper look. Still couldn't find it. I know I was in the right spot based on a photo in one of the logs. Can somebody who knows this cache check it's still there please?
Once we figured out how to get down below we were able to get close to GZ and the voucher made the quick grab. Coords were a little off but the hint got us close. Dropped TB. TFTC
35th Cache collected on my "40 Clicks and 40 Caches for Tim's 40th" big day out. A nice easy find. The link below may be of some interest. TFTC.

Used to hang at Castle Rock years ago when we used to live here. Thanks for giving us a great reason to come back and visit a beautiful spot. TFTC.
Second find on my run to Manly. Beautiful sea mist obscuring the view of Balmoral Beach. TN. SL. Left bow tie.
We tried to park close to this one, only to get 50m to the cache on the GPSr (as the GPSr points), but down some very steep slopes and cliffs...off onto the crazy local roads to find a parking spot some 550m away....ggrrr, oh well, at least the views where great as we rock hopped across to an easy find. Thanks TS, our last find on a long day of caching.
My dad and myself found 8 in 1.5 hrs cycling but this was the hardest... DO NOT BRING A BIKE WITH YOU IF YOU TRY TO FIND THIS! It's soooo difficult to get it over the stairs and rocks, after lots of sweat, drink breaks and foul moods the GPS said 12 metres. Slightly confused as there was a massive cliff we realised we had to go right round down the stairs to the cache, there I saw some friends from school, after departing the GPS said 2 metres, the clue made sense, and got it after climbing up to it.. NICE HIDE! TFTC TNLN!
Awesome! Grabbed this cache while up from Canberra and were having a lovely walk and swim. Decided to check for nearby GC's and Turns out we were sitting right under it! TFTC! Gnaty77
Walked past, came back via the rocks.
Beautiful weather, thanks for bringing us down here!

Last find for this trip from NZ. A fitting cache name as I have recently travelled to Vanuatu! Also a favourite swimming spot in years past. Dropped off Love Bug TB which wants to travel worldwide & has already been to NZ. TFTC
No joy on this one today - I sent the Tealby D-Team (aka Delta Force aka Biggles303) off to get this for me & he really enjoyed the rock scramble despite not finding the cache - it would have helped if he'd bothered to check the hint! The Tealby A & B Teams enjoyed a quiet sit on the rocks enjoying the view while he was away, so it was well worth the short detour.
loved the adventure trying to find this cache on high tide lucky im a rockclimber tftc
Walked along the path for a while too long and had to go back. Awesome place! This beach would be so peaceful in summer!

It pays to check the trail head, we were on the wrong beach...got it in the end.
Reperio at 0940. Next stop on out walk from Spit Bridge to Manly, and not having read the the cache page yet, I didn't quite understand the title of this cache until I got home and read the cache page. Certainly is a lot of names for one person, but this is by far the strangest name I've heard for someone. The water down by the cache was perfect, as was the weather, which made for a nice place to sit down by GZ.
Gratias.

A nice walk along the rocks. Akkatracker made a quick find with the guidance of Big Matt and Shell. Found on the Spit bridge to Manly walk.
Our next stop on our journey of discovery from the Spit bridge to Manly. A nice spot to come to and an easy find. The views are excellent. It is from here that a bit of up and down starts, but that's ok, it is not that hard.
Cheers

Found this during the Spit Bridge to Manly walk with Team Canary, Toriaz and a bunch of other cachers. By the time we got down near the water we had nothing to do but to sign the log and enjoy a few minutes' rest. Thanks
Third of our 'finds' on the Spit Bridge to Manly walk. Others had already found this container by the time we made it down to GZ near the water. Great location.
Thanks.
Thanks.
This was our second new find on the wonderful Spit Bridge to Manly walk. An easy find in the hands of others!?!

FTF! A beatiful Sunday morning saw three new caches being released not too far away from home. Just had to get there.
It took some scrambling around, but eventually it was not too hard to find the well camouflaged container.

Found as part of the Spit Bridge to Manly Walk Event
Nice hide on a nice walk. Found this first but alas no FTF. The Vikings had beaten us. Incorrectly thought this was Number 100 but it was 97

Came through later in the day after the event walk. Easy to follow the footprints in the sand to the GZ and then found by my son who did the final scramble. Beautiful day, and a beautiful little beach. Took Kitty TB, left gecko GC.
Found in the company of several other cachers enjoying the Spit to Manly walk on this beautiful day. Nice spot, thanks,

Our 5239th overall find.
I like where this one is placed, a bit of up and down on the track, there is a great slab of rock above the cache here that has some spectacular views. We thought we might be in for the FTF but it wasn't to be as the Vikings had beat us to the location today. Thanks for bringing us here.
Thanks to The Spindoctors for the cache.
