Was buried when the new track was being formed. My plan is to replace it

It was never going to be found here, but the last finders log seems a little odd. Hmmm.
Enjoyed coming through here, great to see the southern heartland and look forward to coming through again some time.

This is another one that will need replacing when the track development work is finished.
Thanks for the reminder Tharon.

I BYOP but could not find the cache to sign in. Must be somewhere under the gravel or track developments. Good explanation of the old route for the train which makes sense when one looks at the lie of the land and the demands of a steam loco. Thanks OnslowFisherman.
Two GPS's and both said we were in the right spot. Only trouble was the new cycle trail goes over GZ. On our way back today (3/9/12) more work was in progress and GZ under several tons of shingle.
Work happening on a bew rail trail. It is going to be a very cool thing and good for tourism in the area.
A bike/walk trail has started to be built on this railway, the fences are in place and the area is getting a good upgrade. Hopefully one day soon we will be able to bike through this area on the railway. Cache quickly found by the geo-nana, she liked the official container. TFTC
Indeed another crossing and this one seems set to once again be a busy place. The proposed cycleway is taking shape here, utilizing the elevated track of the old railway. The cache was an easy find and its contents were snug and warm in their 'made to order' container.
On a long road trip to Tarras with Castlewood_Crew and Ingidayna to pick up my new car. Caching on the way back to Dunedin - sort of. TFTC Find 28/40
Nice quick find on way to Tarras from Dunedin and home . Found with Castlewood-Crew and CacheManChris 18/24 for the day. TFTC
On a road trip to Tarras with Ingidayna and CachemanChris to pick up a new car for Mr 16. Caching our way back home to Dunedin. Find 29/40. Quick easy cache in the dark:) TFTC

Yes, an easy find - just what I like when caching with a caravan. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1993)
Was on my knees filling out the log when I noticed a Yamaha trailbike pull onto the side of the road 100m or so back towards Lawrence. The rider was definitely observing me. I was left with the impression that it was either an adjacent landowner wondering what I was doing or possibly another cacher. The rider sat there until we departed. I was tempted to stop up the road, do a U-turn and come back to see if they were at the cache.
A quick easy find for the first of several Roxburgh Railway caches we were to do today. TFTC
This one took me longer than it should have. It was so easy once I had found it TFTC.
Just about to get out of my van to do this cache and my cell phone rang. talking on it and looked in my mirror and spot some cachers just about to grab the prize. Great to meet up with Kryshan & Farmer2some. hope you got to 60 today. thanks OF for bringing us together
We pulled up to find a van parked right in front of the cache. Thought we could sneak around behind it, but then got sneaked up on ourselves by Lehcier. Nice to meet you. TFTC
Van parked right beside cache but we had come to far to leave this one behind.
Thought it was a worker not another cacher, so tried to sneak around it only to be caught out. Nice to meet you Lehcier

A quick find. Never would have noticed the disused railway 'hump' if I hadn't stopped. TFTC.
I commented to Drawp and Bitsprayer as we began the search how much this line must have cost to establish and what a feat of engineering it must have been, crossings like these don't come cheap and to rip it up seems almost wasteful!
Thanks
