No luck with this one. Given all the DNF would be great to know if it’s still there.
Should have looked at all the DNFs! No ideas where to look for a film canister in all this bush litter.
Not a great one for the morning commute - I’ve got hair full of leaves and I’m covered in spiderwebs, and still no CIH!
Area is very overgrown, so it’s very likely that there is simply a patch that I did not overturn.

The original container is missing and has been replaced by a film container, which has been placed in a slightly different location

Man, time absorber, again lost sooo much time here with plenty of back and forth, gave up a couple of times too. The creek has been flowing healthily lately and then, after 30mins of torturing myself, hoisted the white flag. I messaged for a hint, and with that CIH. Having previously visited twice previously years ago, shocking coords, thanks nanny & bo

After a lengthy visit to the dentist in Pymble, I rewarded myself with a few geocaches in the Pymble area.
I enjoyed the tree lined street of this quiet residential area and the pockets of bushland between the houses.
For this cache of course I tried the obvious, looking around trees close to the creek. If only I had paid better attention to the cache description...after a while I did manage to find it, at a completely different spot than I'd expected!

This cache took a while to find as the phone had me going in all directions. Once I read the CO's note it was soon CIH. TFTC Nanny and Bo.
We did a cache check today
All is in place as it was before.
There has been no cache creep.
We added a new log book which hardly fits inside this fairly small geocache
Unfortunately with the tree cover our GPS had a 15 m error.
Note the hint and do not go down into the heavy undergrowth

Like the previous logs, I too had trouble with this cache. Coordinates were all over the place- I even tried Birdmans coordinates but they had trouble setting. Went to photos, but there is none, before turning to the logs. Birdmans comment finding something unnatural was a help. Found a couple of things but no cache. I finally resorted to a PAF which pointed me in the right direction. I had checked here, but clearly not good enough! Cache# 765 TFTC
Definite needs maintenance. Cleaned it out a bit but still very wet. Coordinates also need official changing.
Couldn't find this one. It's close to home so we'll try again. The area is very overgrown so could be hidden anywhere.
Could not find any "brightly coloured container". Used photos and alternate co-ordinates to navigate too
This one took a lot longer than it should have.
Even with the suggested coords from Birdman my iPhone struggled to get me in the right area.
I decided to put the iPhone away and just use geosense. The hard camo had been covered with new growth but after a while I had CIH.
No sign of the helpful neighbour when I needed him thought.
Now I'm home I realised I may have written the date as 9.8.17 in the log, oops

Yes cords not accurate, went by photos to get correct area. Geo sense kicked in CIH.
Yeah use the coords suggested in the comments(should probly update that). Though you should be able to find it without them, pretty simple find. Anyways tftc
We think we found this one. There was a little container and a green texta. We placed some paper in the container and left a pen under the container as the green texta no longer worked.
Couldn't find it, but it's our first attempt at geocaching . So much undergrowth
Great hide! Easy but a bit challenging too. The container is in need of maintenance!

After my DNF in October, I saw some logs that pointed out I should not have ignored the T rating. This along with some alternate coords made a return visit attractive. Found today in the second place I looked. TFTC.

Found it on a warm Sunday while out and about with Evangt and Pdbunce. Co-ords were a long way out but a quick find anyway. TFTC
Stopped off on my way to the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at Dural, to have a look for this one. I have attempted to find this one previously but, after searching through the heavy undergrowth for quite some time, I eventually gave up and had to post a DNF. But after reading a recent "Found It" log from birdman2099 I thought it was time for a revisit.
Arrived at GZ and, with the Garman GPSr loaded with birdman's suggested coords, it was a super quick find. And no wonder as the posted coords, that I was using previously, were no where near the cache location. I suspect many other DNFers will be revisiting this one to get their smileys, as it's now such an easy find. I'm happy to finally get mine, with thanks to birdman.
The cache container is damp and smelly inside, despite being a good quality solid caching container, but the log is not too bad inside it's plastic bag. TFTC.

Decided to head north today to try to avenge a few DNFs (one recent one not so) and maybe grab another cache or two.
In the end, avenged both DNFs and found one more besides.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
After finding two of Digby23's caches nearby I really only had time for one more cache before heading home.
So I headed here hoping to expunge my previous DNF. The CO had confirmed with me that the terrain wasn't higher than rated. Hmmm.
Arrived and the area was a little less bushy than last time but still lots of possibilities.
The posted coordinates still wanted me in unlikely spots, so decided to cast my eyes wider, and spotted something well away from GZ that needed further investigation.
And there it was - CIH! DNF expunged.
Didn't really expect that.
Only now, posting my find, did I notice that the previous finder posted corrected coordinates - mine, averaged for a minute with an iPhone are very close to those.
Should have checked them first...
Should have checked this spot last time, but I was too caught up in the myriad possibilities around the posted coordinates.
And yes, with the right coordinates it is a 1½/1½ cache.

After reading previous logs I thought this might be a tricky one and then as I arrived at GZ the overgrown terrain looked daunting. Coords had me going down into the vegetation but thought that would not suit the terrain rating.
Looked around the easier T1 spots and saw something a little unnatural. I soon had cache in hand. Try S33° 43.960' E151° 08.725'

Brimming with confidence after finding a few Digby23 caches, this one was on the way. iPhone GPS was not behaving itself and sent me to several not-kid-friendly places. Not many muggles about but after spending too long searching the overgrown undergrowth, I have to concede a DNF.
Ok so we finally found this cache but it was sort of an anti climax.
We had searched for this one before with no luck.
We took geodog as cover and just as we got near GZ, someone came walking down the track with their dog.
I started talking to him and patting his dog "Roy". We had a great chat about the south coast, bike riding and surfing. He told me he lived right there. Mmmm I wonder if he's noticed any suspicious people looking for things in the bush near his house?
He continued talking and it came out that he knew about geocaching and we were standing at GZ. I was about 1m away from it.
As soon as I knew this it was an easy find, not really where I first looked though but exactly where we were about to expand out search to.
GPS was very jumpy down there but the co-ords were anywhere from 4 to 9m out at +/- 5m on an iphone.
We are the first to sign the new log book but there was a lot of condensation within the cache itself.

We did an owner cache check this morning and replaced the old log book, which was soaked.
Yesterday the cache spent all day hiding from Martin Cousins.[8)]

Again two visits today, for a cache that's not meant to be a headache, it must be due for a check up
If this is a 1½/1½ cache I'm a monkey's uncle!
The iPhone wanted me well into 2 to 2½ terrain, and the overgrown nature of GZ means finding this is a very long process or else a lottery.
Unless it's so cleverly cryptic I can't work it out, the hint is useless, if not misleading.
The long procession of DNFs here seems to support the proposition this cache isn't what it says it is.
There have been lots of great caches by the COs, but unfortunately this isn't currently one of them.

Too much greenery (as mentioned elsewhere). Also GPS indicat3ed location rather dangerous - steep side to creek with greenery so hard to see where ground ends.
Too much undergrowth, neighbours chatting right across from GZ and a hint that wasn't a hint meant that we only tried for about 5 minutes.
Wanted to give up but they made me do it, thanks Digby23 for bringing us here. TFTC
With the help from digby23 who was keen for us to find a cache in his neighbourhood we made a quick find. SL #1533 TFTC

Only looked for this one for about 2 minutes, as we weren't sure what vicinity we should be looking. Are the coordinates where the cache has been moved to, or where it was?

Thanks. Gps all over the place. Read too much into the hint. Dog walking neighbor wandered over to help. Pointed me in the right direction. Picked up TB. Going traveling
Needed a cache for the streak and this was it. Coords were not particularly good increased search zone by almost 10m when geowife spotted the hide.

First geocache found in Australia! great fun with a bit of help from a neighbour, well hid
DNF. Sorry! Been twice with friends and couldn't find it either times. Maybe the owner cloud place it in a more obvious spot? Thanks
Quick easy find. Left TB "This boot was made for walking."
Cache was a bit exposed so I placed a bit more camo over it.
Happy birthday, Nanny.

I DNF’d this one back in February, but after a good result at another cache nearby I felt on my game so I returned to this location which, for some reason I can't explain, I find rather unnerving. Thankfully, it was an immediate find, I can’t believe I missed it last time, surely it wasn’t there .
It's a relief to have this one ticked-off. Thanks for the cache Nanny and Bo.

Day 27 of "31 Days of Geocaching"
Needing a find for today, this one was the closest to my work at Turramurra. My GPSr was pointing me into the gully but I knew I shouldn't go there. Something caught my geocaching eye and there was the hide. I estimate the cache was found about 12m away from where my GPS said GZ was. It was still an easy find. The logbook was damp but I could still sign it with my pen. Thanks Nanny and Bo for the hide. Another souvenir!

Now that was a piece of cake! You guys sure are kid friendly.. Thanks for a simple one so close to home.
Took the cat - left a kitty.
Even though it was a new log (second to sign) it was already getting damp - but I guess that's expected in Turramurra! Hope it's OK if I donate a plastic zip-lock bag...
