Nice little spot definitely needs a new water proof container we replaced some paper#found#glassladybug
Nice wee hide! Had a great brunch at Melrose with chRcheuse to set us on the right foot for the day. Highly recommend!! TfTC.
Came along here on my bike this afternoon while doing an ad lab, not the first place I looked, but soon found the cache here, cheers
A surprisingly quick find given the number of hiding places. Thanks to the previous caches for the dry log, tftc.
Lid was loose and original ziplock must have a hole ... pools of water in pottle and bag. Spent time blotting and drying. Have added a dry log in a new ziplock. Love the treasures. Thank you roamingreliever for guidance. TFTCoolC.
Out for a leisurely stroll and appreciated the chance for a bit of shade here. Cache quickly located. Log quite wet and a bit hard to write on in pencil. Such a lovely spot though
I checked on this again this morning - cache was visible on approach so covered with a little more leaf litter before I left
A thorough look but no luck, i noticed the previous cacher could not find it either.
I called in here early this morning to check this out after the previous log. Sure enough the hidey hole was bare apart from one little bit of swag. However, shortly after I spotted the cache a few metres away so placed back where it was supposed to be.
I went at 2:50 and it was there we went back at 8:40 and it wasn't there. one thing was there out of it i looked all around the tree
i went with my class as well and plan on doing the one near my friends house next!
Is was with a big group so I didnt get a chance to sign it. Will come back another time tho!
JDScout and I are spending a week in the Nelson/Tasman area. We are on another campervan trip. We stayed in Nelson the last two nights. Today we biked from Tahunanui to Stoke to the city and back. We have been exploring a lot of gardens today.
Visiting from Timaru and re-discovering geocaching. Fun find with Crusaderwoman although we were disappointed that Melrose House was closed and there was thus no high tea to be had. Cache was waterlogged but a dry, fresh log had escaped the wet, so thanks to whoever placed that there.
I had to come into town this evening so decided to check on this due to the log earlier today saying there was no log. The log was there in a brown envelope that someone had put it in to try to keep it dry - thank you very much whoever did that. This does need another container though nd I didn't have one with me tonight.
Attempted to loiter inconspicuously out of the rain as I searched, before realising that I was on the wrong side, as was the rain (that raincoat is being retired as a complete failure). Tried the other side and quickly found the cache floating in its own lake filled mini-cavern. Emptied the water out and closed the lid properly before re covering it. Thanks for a nice easy trad cache on a very damp holiday.
Awesome little spot, easy to hide from muggles. Maybe a more waterproof container
Spending a few days in Stoke visiting friends. Enjoying some local caching. This was a quick find, in a great spot. The cache was a little wet, but the log was still able to be signed. Thanks for the smiley.
My goodness, tons of places to hunt! It has been raini g since yesterday, so was eet smd dirty (so thankful to be traveling with wipes). Base-ically speaking, keep look-ing; we found it just as we were going to leave. Nice hide. Contai er had water, so it was dumped out and signed the well apportioned rite-as-rain log. Thanks for the hide while touring this majistic cou.try from the States.
Day 9 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today we are in the area and surrounding area of Nelson. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

Beautiful root system, love this tree! So many hiding locations, took a while to find but eventually got it!
Container full of water. Waterproof paper but need permeant pen. Theo found 12 the December. Thanks for cup of tea!
What an awesome specimen. I, too, have driven past here several times but a peaceful Sunday was the perfect time to come on here after claiming the nearby Virtual.
The container had plenty of water in it, although there has been no rain for the past 2 days, since the previous log. Great to have this paper, so that logging can be trouble-free.

Visiting from Australia to cycle the Great Taste trail, we had a spare day in Nelson. I loved the magnificent gardens despite the rain. Cache container was full of water but still managed to sign thanks to special paper. TFTC.
This cache has been one of our bugbears. We have driven passed it so often and either not been able to stop for it or we have stopped (twice) only for it to be missing. Today was the day to grab it after getting the virtual down the road a bit. A nice easy find too and a TB left behind. tftc

A nice quick find with geo mum after having a truly delicious lunch here. A lovely spot. TFTC
Our first find of the morning. Did a multi nearby but couldn't check for the cache because it was very busy. This was a nice second stop in the area. We did a lot of walking the garden paths here and nearby which we wouldn't have otherwise done. That's the great thing about caching. The 2 wee people liked romping around in the undergrowth while I did the serious business. Any easy find as it was very obvious so covered it a bit more. TFTC.
Prefound this and saved for a day when needed to up the finds for today. Quick locate today even thou a crappy rainy day. Nicely done. Tftc
Mrs B found this one but had to wait for me to get back from a walk up the hill to reach up and grab it. All good here, TFTC.
