I hadn't spent as much time on this one previously as LittleTan and Snugpup had, but I had tried it and was keen for a team effort to make the find. We had a look for quite a while, including using tools to poke into different places and see if we could find anything but no luck. Tried PAF and while waiting for a response went and found another cache. Then returned and I found it very quickly, no idea how I missed that previously, it wasn't far in at all and fairly easy to spot. We had been focusing our efforts on other spots I guess! I did use a knitting needle to retrieve it, but it was close enough I could have got it with my fingers, or a car key. So happy to have this one found, and it's my last dot day so now my calendar is full! Yippee! Thanks for the cache!
Yay! On my 50 millionth try I have this thanks to LittleTan and AngelicKiwi!!!! I did help but they found it. Yippee!
Wow! What a mission. After several trips here with different people and by myself (and a lot of time focused on the wrong spot) I can finally log this find. Today Snugpup, angelic_kiwi and I came prepared with a range of items and materials to create a special tool. Turns out that wasn't needed.... it was retrievable with some nimble fingers. After looking for a very long time we did resort to getting a little help to check we were on the right track. We were, but it seems we just weren't observant enough So glad to finally get the smiley on this one!!! My second tricky Little G hide avenged in the last few weeks
Ah finally! After a day chasing a multi with ivss_xx, Jude_E, Gummi_Venus, and Grandalf, GV and I stopped at this one on the way home. I remembered I had my tool with me and wanted another crack at this one. It took a bit of searching but we got there and the tool made all the difference. Pleased to get this one checked off. Thanks LGM!
Actually made a surprisingly quick find here. Just pure luck I reckon as there are lots of places in which to hide the cache. TFTC.
Thanks for the heads up, after so many recent Dnfs.was a deserving D4 for a reason, with BrdFmly.
TFTC. The stone removal proved to be unnecessary as we were probing the wrong spot. Difficult but fun
Had a dig in what seemed like an obvious spot. Didnt have the right tools for the job. If the cache is where we think it is, you might need tools.
This is a D4 ! Previous cachers have simply pushed it too far back for most to retrieve easily Visited today - repositioned a new cache to be easier - yeh right ! Its still a D4
DNF for us! Isnt it about time the CO at least checked to confirm that the cache is still in place, please!
Pretty sure I had the right spot (picture) and dug in a bit but I didn't find anything DNF
Came armed with a tool and a strong headlamp. Dug out heaps of small stones and had a look around inside. I cant see a container.
No luck for me today. The "obvious" spot looked pretty empty but I may have been looking in the wrong place.
I dug 4 stones out of the perfect hole in the rock which took about 29 minutes - so sure I’d get lucky with the next stone but still
Team BOP on another crazy mission again to the South Island. Lockdown gave us a lot of free time that we directed into Canterbury’s many Geo-Arts and with the Auckland 2020 Mega postponement, Christchurch was an easy decision. Team BOPs current incarnation is DavidsonClan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed all the logs as Team BOP to save time and log space.
So Labour Weekend 2020, it’s a numbers mission, the Cachly cut’n’paste template is sorted and while I unapologetically use this tool, I truly appreciate you placing this cache for us to find. The D/T spiked our curiousity here and we figured between the four of us we should be able to spot this one. Well it did take a bit of searching but we were in the right spot so eventually we got there. Cheers LittleG Magic & TFTC

As Auckland Mega has been postponed we decided to do a trip south to Christchurch. Four of us from Team BOP joined up to share a car and accomodation. I always love these weekends as the company is great and makes our days and nights out caching lots of fun. We have done lots of puzzles in preparation and did some long windy roads to get them. Found lots of great caches and thanks to all the COs for the effort that goes into these Please excuse the copied logs and I will try to make some individual notes on as many as I can This sort of trip is where I find the cachly app very valuable. Very tricky hard find Glad to get this one TFTC
On a mission to the south after mega in Auckland was canceled. Team Bop booked airfares and here we are. Thanks all COs for your efforts. Due to numbers please excuse copy and paste logs in advance. This took us a little while to find in the dark but we eventually find it.
With the Mega Covid cancelled this year a part of Team BoP decided to come south and try get all our solved puzzles. So here we are! A few others around the place too. We persevered and Wullah. Very sneaky.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Covid-19 Level 4 Its Simple
If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.

We are currently down in Christchurch visiting my elderly mother and picking up a few caches. We went for a walk up in Victoria park yesterday and I spotted this cache on the way home. It intrigued me so we came back today with the appropriate TOTT. Took a few minutes and then my muggle hubbie spotted and retrieved it. Great spot, TFTC
Welp, this has been by "nemesis cache" for many years.
It sits on the route that I usually jog every morning when I'm staying here in Cashmere, and this little green has been one of my favourite places in the suburb (and the city!) for as long as I've known it - all those years ago when I lived here.
And yet this cunning cache always thwarted me. Every time I came back to New Zealand and the old neighbourhood I would ask Trifolia Argentea here about it, and we've made many attempts at it, too! TA finally found it earlier this year, and so with their aid and the tool they had prepared I was able to retrieve it.
My hat off to you, LittleG, and would that I could give more than one favourite point to this particularly perplexing cache!

Spent just a few minutes here and found what I am fairly sure will yield the cache, though I could well be wrong, alas no hook on me to really see, so will have to return to this next time in chch.
Glad it has been found ! Despite the new spoilers & the usual string of DNF's followed claims its not there for our remaining Caches !

'Don't you hate it when you read that on a cache you spent hours and umpteen visits looking for, I know I do.'
Can i suggest its really simple 'keep away from D4 rated caches & you wont feel that way'
That is why there is a range of levels & Little G Caches !

A team effort! After all those dnfs finally it's found. We came up after an event. A very clever tricky hide. We all had a go before success. Thanks for this cache, LittleG. Its been the bane of my life as you know!

Oh joy finally we have the ellusive cache. Embarrassed to admit how many times we have tried to find this one. Came after an event catch up with others also not found. Suppernanny had an interesting TOTT she had got this one with. We all tried and eventually it was YES oh joy. Very happy to get a smiley here. Thanks for the cache LittleG Magic.

Have driven past this countless times but had never even bothered to stop, having read a lot of discouraging DNFs. This time, we had the numbers, we had the tools, and we had someone who had done this just yesterday. Still, took us a bit to get the cache, everyone had a go with the tools, even I put my crutches down and had a feel around. Eventually it was Kiwimykl who got it out, after we also involved a proper torch in the hunt.
Even though I can't say that this was knocked off coming here for the n-th time, it actually felt like it nevertheless just because i had seen it pop up un the map so many times, passing by.

QEF PnG... I've always wanted to say that on a cache like this. Don't you hate it when you read that on a cache you spent hours and umpteen visits looking for, I know I do. I'm just happy I got involved in the team approach on this one otherwise it would have been hours of searching on multiple visits.
Thanks for the assist Jude_E, supernanny, ivss_xx, Coconuts3.
We even gave a 91 year old passer-by muggle a lesson in geocaching.

I am exceedingly happy!
After a DNF 2 years ago I have returned...with a special tool I brought down from Auckland in my suitcase.
Brilliant hide.
Wasn't even hard this time!
Many thanks...
( BTW the paper is all soggy and needs replacing.)
Favourite point for sure.
It will be one of the highlights of my holiday!

Thanks to a tip from Supernanny we finally got hold of this elusive one. First PAF! Of course we had poked here before (despite not actually seeing the deeply buried container), but our hooks were not fine enough. On later hunting trips we were led astray, overthinking the description, chasing anagrams to nowhere... Tonight, the cache was visible in the light of our torch, the knitting needle with added little wire hook did the trick. Thanks Little G. Please tell us what that apostrophe is doing on the picture? We looked for hidden meanings...
We removed the sodden mess of the old log and put in a new lone.

This is our nemesis cache. We have lost count of the number of visits. 6 maybe? We have brought all sorts of hooks. We have poked and prodded. We have crawled into confined spaces with a torch (but in summer not today). Maybe next time we should come in Christchurch camouflague: high vis vests and a bobcat and dig it up!
Second time looking for this little critter! No luck! Lovely walk with kids though!
Dropped by on the way up to sign of the kiwi. Should have read details before arriving as we didnt have anything that could be fashioned as a hook. Will come back another day when we are better prepared.
Must have been the third visit, but this time we came with a very good idea about the location and after a short period we had the cache in our hands. A good tool certainly helped. Great to have this box ticked, TFTC
I'm nothing if not determined! Today I brought with me 2 previous finders plus my tool for the job but none of us was able to find it. Another time maybe.
Came armed with TOTT, super duper headlamp as a torch, and a hint, but still couldn't find it. Must have looked more than half a dozen times for half an hour or so at a time over the past year or so. So I'll log another dnf. Very galling when someone with only 4 finds finds it and you can't!
Thanks Little G Magic...
I happened to be down here on holiday ....and was out caching with a P.F. ...who had all the right gear for this genius high difficulty cache.
Unfortunately we still couldn't retrieve anything of interest !

Holy moly! Went with my parents to find it as we live nearby and after a bit of looking we found it but couldn't get it out despite the use of wire, a long stick, and a dental probe. We went home, and I, being an engineer, created something overly complicated to get it out. Unfortunately my device was not as successful as dad's sprinkler head so he won that challenge! Great cache

Found with StreetWalker on a trip over the hill to look for a few solved puzzles, plus any trads that popped up as well.
We stopped off for this cache on the way back home. After not finding it last year, we confirmed with a previous finder where to concentrate our search and came better prepared. Just 2 tools was all it took - SW both located the cache and retrieved it. Good to turn this into a smiley.
BTW, the log book was very fragile and falling to pieces, so removed it and added a scrap of paper as a new log book. TFTC.

#14088. We had enough time and energy to have another crack at this one on our way home from Governors Bay. After a bit of peering, tool 1 helped to locate the cache. Then it was time to deploy tool 2, which proved to be just long enough to reach the cache. Nicely done. TFTC.
Bit hard.... Will get some more experience to do cashing and come back another day.
Crushed it. I have an extra large medical kit for no apparent reason, so if you google video laryngoscopy then you'll find a fair replication of hughdg and I fishing it out. Also used: flax, stick, pocket knife, magills forceps, artery clamp... 10/10 TFTC
With odgersaj. Performed keyhole surgery and after about 10min had cache in hand. Great little find
We came ill-prepared for the search, and after a PAF confirmed we were indeed looking in the right place, we still couldn't spot it. Will return another time better equipped.
well got a message from owner, it is a little evil cache as we were looking in the wrong place, happy hunting and good luck fellow cachers
Haha, Jess.daphne, The Burnsy and I were feeling pretty cheerful after a successful day of geocaching, so we thought why not stop and look for this one? Now, JD and I had been here quite some time ago and had a look, but we were newbies cachers at the time and now we've got a fair amount of caching experience (and we've found a few LGM caches), so perhaps we'd have a better shot at finding the cache. Nope, not this time. We had a really good look around and poked into lots of spots, but no joy. Eventually we had to give up. Ah well, next time.
a DNF from us as well, we think we found the cache home, sending pic to CO to confirm. If it was the spot the cache is gone if not happy hunting cachers. Will update later
Not much sign here, some human poo and new pointing in the wall.. This one is a bust. Couldn't find it Blenheim Bear

Coldstream and I headed off for this one early this one after dinner to get this one as I had along a TOTT to help with the extraction.
Cheers for the cache.

Once some additional equipment had been brought into play, not too difficult to retrieve. Done with Tufty. Thanks.
Third day of the MEGA today, our team (SEAC) mission being to find as many different kind of caches we could. This being done, we continues on to find some trads on the way back.... so we thought we'd stop for this one. Noted the difficulty, but thought we would give it a go anyway.... but 6 sets of eys and 6 torches unfortunately couldn't turn it up. Oh well, worth a shot....
Third day of our mega trip and today was all about the different types of caches.
This one was worth a try but at night even with torches this clever little hide was not to be found

Out caching with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) while down for the CHC mega event. This was one of the caches we visited along the way. Thanks to all the owners of caches we found! TFTC

Not really used to having much success with hard LittleG hides but we decided to stop and try and we had a few tools we thought might help. Turned out we didn't need anything fancy as we spotted it fairly quickly and retrieved using the tools of my fingers. Not entirely sure on reflection it was placed as intended given the previous logs, but as we are were not sure how it was placed - we just returned as we found it....happy to take the D4 however.

We will be back... With old clothes and a coat hanger by the readings of past logs;) nice Park
Headed out for a few hours of caching in a suitable direction, and this one happened to be on the way! Quick find of this one, it took longer to retrieve the logbook. TFTC!!

Good to get this "close to home" one at last. Thanks to a friend for a steer too. Rainy days are good for undisturbed searching in playground areas. Old clothes and a wire help for this one.
Looked to ages but couldn't find it. Not sure I was looking in the right places
I've been thinking about trying this one for a while, so I finally decided to go for it and after a thorough search I gained a smilie!
TFTC!

With a dnf here earlier it was time to knock this one off. Onward with GPS and modified coat hanger oh and a pen. I ventured to the gz I quickly looked around and then out with the hook and wham bam thank you ma'am, cache was in hand after a little fifd (found it funky dance) I sat on a near by seated area sign the log with a reasonable grin on my face. Cache replaced I skipped to the next cache in the quest to find more. Tftc favorite point from me.
Had a bit of a hint on this one, and glad to say i found it after not tooo looooong. Phew. Cheers for a clever hide.
Finally!!!!! After giving up several previous times we have finally hooked this one! Came up today with newfound determination and after an initial false lead which almost made us conclude maintenance might be required, Mrs. TwoSharpe came up with the goods. This monkey is off our backs!
Think I was in the right area but need to score a hook. At the next event will consult as well.

Just about to give up (well I had) when the better half found it. TFTC. (who pays for the dry cleaning bill?)
It had been a tough night caching as I had dnfed three caches and one was because I have messed up transferring coords to my phone. Then I spent ages looking for another cache. But I figured I would try this again after a conversation at a recent event. And when the cache appeared I felt the evening had improved so I signed it and went home happy. Thanks
Out caching with Kiwi Moose and his kids. Finally got this monkey off my back! I can now drive up Dyers Pass Road without that sinking feeling in my stomach. Thanks for the hide.
Karma Reprint and I were out and about today and gave this a go, with success Excellent, thanks
Need to come back with the kids and some fishing gear. Tried it while in the area.
