### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there team_coxy,

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.

You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**

#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache to check, repair, replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.

- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**

- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil

We are having terrible luck with the last few of these geocaches. Another DNF here has us a bit disheartened

12-Mar-22
Came today with Shack1961 and went for a hike up to the falls. We then sat and had lunch at the park before trying to find some caches. All the signs said this trail was closed off, but after an hour we decided to give our luck a go and it was on our side! This cache was evading us!

08-Mar-22
Thought we would try to have a scan around and see if we were lucky enough to spot this lost cache, but unfortunately not.

#4 of 6 for the day with DaD0n, ross47 and geoMum.
Going for our customary Fathers Day drive to Marysville, we decided to stop off and get some geocaches.
With a few likely spots to look at, DaD0n and ross47 were searching close by.
I looked over the other way and glanced a possible spot, quickly making the discovery.
Lovely road and gorgeous area.

Find #4099. Found @ 17:37 with The Good Lady Wife.

After being rained out at lunch, we came back here after the weather had cleared up a smidgeon. The last of the day because we had to get back to j-bean and made some dinner. The Good Lady Wife had walked ahead while I was struggling with the previous cache, and made the quick find. She left the container sitting out while she came back for me, so it was a quick spot when I got close to GZ.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache team_coxy

We got to Marysville yesterday afternoon and checked into our motel, which is a rare treat for us as we generally prefer to camp. We spent yesterday afternoon looking around town and went up Lake mountain. This left today free to do the Lady Talbot Trail and still have time to get home in the afternoon.
We had a ball following the track and doing the caches. The country is completely different here to what we are used to up in Albury, and some time along the way i managed to pick up my first ever leech Big Grin
We followed the road all the way to the park to the falls and it was shut beyond this point, so that is where our day finished.
TFTC.

**Find #1778**

After spending the day at Lake Mountain with a 18km hike to Keppells Hut and back, and heading home with the remaining daylight, I couldn't resist grabbing a few of the Lady Talbot caches. This was my last one for the day. An easy find. I must return another day and complete the rest of the series.

Thanks **team coxy**

2:25pm

After getting out of the car here I thought I wouldn’t even need to follow the arrow to locate the cache, just follow the geotrail and search the most obvious thing like many others have evidently done.
Not finding anything that would be a likely hiding spot, a closer look at the surrounds showed the geotrail heading back to a much easier location and easy cache find.
Should have trusted the pointer from the start.

TNLN, TFTC, Cheers.

#3060 After lunch in Marysville it was time to hit the Lady Tals Trail to enjoy the fresh air and try and pick up a swag of caches. Although the sign said 4WD only, the track was only rough is a couple of spots and no issue for the GeoForester.

Wowsers, the tree that once stood here must of been a giant! After checking all sides, Mrs BGF came up with the find. TFTC GeoScouts.

On our way to the Buller Getaway caching weekend with wozzle68, we stayed in Marysville last night so that we could explore a bit more of this area, including the Lady Talbot Drive. It really hits home what we have lost over the years with forestry and with bushfires when you see the girths of some of these stumps. TFTC GeoScouts.

This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but with some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.

We had a great time at the Alexandra Event catching up with many people, enjoying the activities, caching and touring the Alexandra and Eildon areas. We certainly have a much better appreciation of the attractions of the area than we had before we arrived. Today we headed south intending to cache our way through Marysville to Mansfield where we planned to stay the night. Although not a long trip, there were many places to investigate and we didn’t arrive until nearly tea time. It was also quite a hot day and that slowed our progress a little.

We were pleased to have the opportunity to visit Marysville some time after the devastating fires. Our first impressions were of a pretty area, with strong community pride in public areas and private dwellings. However a quick look below the surface showed the signs of the intensity of the bushfires that had swept through the area. There were very tall trees which were now single poles and grey standing well above the lush and vigorous regeneration occurring below. The ridges lines showed the scars of the fires. It must have been a horrible experience for residents and for those fighting the fires as the steep sided terrain gave little opportunity to fight the fires nor escape. We were amazed at how the local community had recovered but no doubt, there are many personal scars which are not that evident to visitors.

Our first caching area in Marysville was Lady Talbot Drive. Reasonably accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks GeoScouts for the cache and for giving us a reason to visit the area.

***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. Well, after 616 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 100.3. We have attained our goal, and got there much sooner than we had anticipated. We will continue with the extended logs until the end of the trip to give ourselves a little buffer so that it is very unlikely that we will fall below 100 words per cache average in the future*****

Sitting in Marysville having lunch I was trying to figure out if it was possible to close a 50-cache gap in two weeks to make The Alexandra Event #1000. Easy for some, but until today I was on a 50 day slump. Hmmm I need a power trail, of trads, on a road, and I need it now. Aha! This will do nicely.

Many caches on the trail need maintenance, mainly due to wet logs, and a couple of caches possibly missing. It would be nice to see this series be restored to its original glory. The landscape is fantastic.

Lots of cars on this road. LOTS of cars. And bikes. We more or less drove through a cloud of dust the whole trip!

We got a fair way in to the trail before the 4WD section started, and that just wasn't going to happen in my car.

Thanks GeoScouts for the series. Hopefully we'll be back soon to grab more caches in the area.

This was a lovely drive along the river and we decided to look for the available caches in the first 12 of the series. They were all found successfully. Some had really good co-ordinates but some were up to 13 metres off the mark. This hide was a bit trickier as it was not in the obvious place so took a little bit longer to locate. Thanks team coxy for a good hide.

04-Nov-16
Found with Zobo04, Hearse068, BorisB&Natasha and Bounty on our way to do the Lake Eildon Geo Tour. we were trying to do as many caches along the way so I could get in front of KTCvic, whom we would meet up with later. This is one of the caches we found along the way. Decided we would do this little trail. Cant remember ever being in the area but I can tell you I wont forget those white tree tops. They make for some good photos but can only imagine the horror that was felt on that day in February Sad 2009. Thanks for showing us the area it was a real eye opener. TFTC Wow that is one huge old stump

Log was stamped as Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07,Borisb&Natasha, Hearse068, Zobo04, and myself Bounty Trackers.

Gonefishen came up with the plan of doing the Lake Eioldon Geo Tour before it was gone, so we all agreed, Lets get up there and do it.
KTCvic was straight on to booking a place that would sleep 10 people in Bonnie Doon for our 2 night stay.
Gonefishen Borisb&natasha and Hearse068 and myself all meet up in Pakenham so we could cache our way up while DeJaVu and KTCvic where coming up later as they had to work. BorisB&natasha gave the keys to the Prado as she wanted to be a lady of leisure and be chauffeured.
We laughed all the way and just had a fantastic weekend away with great friends, cant wait until the next adventure.
signed log thanks for the cache.

29-Oct-16
We arrived in Marysville late afternoon after doing some caches in the Healesville/Warburton area. Our main aim is to get what caches we can along Lady Talbot Drive.

We were soon to find that the road is closed after the half way point, which was a bit disappointing, having came so far.

All caches to that closure point were found, even though variations in coordinates of 3XGPS still didn't put us straight on GZ.

Thanks team coxy for this placement.
