Found in the ground with no lid. Put back fairly covered in an effort to keep it dry.
Looked around for a long time. Lots of places it might have been, but couldn't find it.
Like others, maybe another day with a fresh out look.

Lovely walk! Bit tricky on a nice afternoon to avoid the muggles - lucky you can hear em from quite a distance!
Geocaching day in Hobsonville Point. It was well hidden after previous find. Took a few moments longer for me here. All good at GZ. TFTC
Another find by Cheryl! Bird declared where it would be but was completely wrong. Never mind. SL TFTC
Number five of the afternoon with PhilBirdBoys, relatively quick find, managing to avoid the rain. Tftc.
Not a good day for us today, this was our second DNF in a row. We'll be back once our geosenses have recharged.
I'm guessing the razor wire is long gone now that this area is being restored and turned into a new suburb and park. Strolled across here and saw the spot the cache was likely to be. Even so it took a bit of hunting to come up with the cache even though it was exactly where I expected it to be. Well concealed but job done. Thanks for the cache, all good here.
Took us a bit to locate it but once we checked the obvious places, it was there. There were a lot of visitors on the path. Good find!
Spent way too long searching the entire tree (at roughly a metre high) after failing to find the cache in the obvious spot. A second sweep bore fruit. Thanks for the Cache, lovely views out across the harbour.
Nice cache! First find in hobsonville point, and in bomb point which I’ve walked through many times before. Took us a bit to find because we didn’t search thoroughly enough in the most obvious location. The hint helped a lot. TFTC
Out and about for a spot of cache detection this afternoon. A warm sunny day for it. A nice walk around the track with pleasant views to appreciate. GPSr was slow to settle near GZ, but cache was soon found after a quick rummage around the likely spots. Cheers for the cache placement!
Met up with Merlot58 and Jag50 for lunch nearby and to find the new caches in the area. We were walking around Bomb Pt and since the others have already located the cache I made a quick stop here before we continued on.
Enjoyed wandering around the area in between the rain showers this afternoon, collecting a couple of the caches along the way. Nice easy find, and neat views from here, TFTC
Lovely views of Beach Haven from GZ. Cache in good condition and in first place I looked. TFTC
What a great view from this place; had to wait a while for others to pass before we could go for the grab. Cache in good condition. TFTC.
Nice stroll about the point, weather was a bit iffy but we kept on round anyway. Nice easy find, cache in good condition, thanks

Off to Auckland for a few days!! - It was about time I visited a hole bunch of friends here - took baby for her first flight outside of the womb, and showed hubby off a bit more of the sights around Auckland! Plus we had some airpoints, and accommodation sorted, so made for a lovely holiday!!
Caching was definitely not the main purpose of the trip, but we did find a few while at it!
We did the walk here with hubby, best friend, and baby. Drizzle decided to join us too, but luckily it didn't start bucketing till we were back in the car!
TFTC!!

Thanks for the find. Found while takong dog to do park Forgot to bring a pen so couldn't fill in log Such a pretty spot!
#109 so it turns out I am blind, found this one straight away today in the logical place. Reckon I've had my hand on this cache two or three times during previous searches! Ah well, I leave satisfied this time, there were two logs, I signed one, TFTC!
Was there in this area again, so seeing the dnf and as I had already found this one, thought to give a look at it. Found the cache safe and sound here. cheers..!!
I've now searched for this one twice and haven't had any luck! Here's hoping it's just because I'm blind!
Was in this area to meet a friend who was planning to move to this are, probably dropped coz of the distance to the work place. whatever, I found this cache with no much trouble. tftc.
This one was my 2nd find in Hobsonville point today. Very nice view, I even took some photos! TFTC
Second find on our walk around Bomb Point... just after Miss Three slipped on the gravel and grazed her hand. The treasure calmed her down a little, but it's going to be a long walk back to the car carrying her as well as the sleeping baby...
nice walk with looky1 around 'bomb' bay in the morning showers found quickly,TFTC
Another one where we thought we were in the right spot and it should have been there, but try as we might - could not locate it.
It took a little while to find this as we thought we were looking for something a bit different. Should have trusted our instincts and gone with the obvious hiding place first.
I went round GZ a few times then finally noticed the cache. Great view of all the boaties racing up and down the harbour.Tftc
Back up in Auckland again for work but with a few hours to spare today I decided to go caching out West. Continuing my walk around this area. Had to wait for a few muggles to pass going in the other direction then it was a quick look in at GZ and there was the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Lovely sunny afternoon and still in need of a cache for the streak to continue. Why not finish off Hobsonville? Lovely stroll to GZ and a quick find. All the buildings appear to have been locked up now, taggers now having to find alternate sites. One of them being a tunnel - nice piece of art to be seen in one of them, unfortunately grafitti in others. TFTC
It was a nice day for a walk, so I decided to collect a few more Hobsonville caches. It was a lovely walk to here and a great view across to the North Shore.
Walked around here so many times but not come this way and seen this view! Thank you so much for leading us to this lovely spot
Another lovely sunny day during the holidays and we decided to explore another part of Auckland we had never been to, so loaded up the bikes and off we went! The biking was fun, some lovely tracks here and a lot of construction going on, will be good to come back next summer to see the progress and enjoy the new parks and trails!
MrNZT made a quick find here, all in good order, lovely weather here and wonderful views from a part of Auckland we had never been to. TFTC!

Its a beautiful day so I thought I would convert some outstanding green spots around Hobsonville into smilies and this one was a nice quick find after a pleasant walk around the old Bomb Dump. TFTC
Took me longer than I wanted to find this one because I came at it in the wrong direction. Covered the cache with some more fauna.
Easy access to this spot today with no muggles or fence to hinder us plus a lovely day for a walk. tftc
Out with the geodogs, making the most of an absolutely gorgeous, sunny winter's day...and almost nobody else around. And it was easy access, with the fencing having been taken down. So a nice quick find, Yay! Tftc:-)
P T this afternoon was battle P T meaning lots of lifting things, running around in boots and getting dirty and muddy. Much like Geocaching really! Finished upa t about 4 this arvo and after a nice warm and refreshing shower decided to have an attack on the remaining caches on/in/near and around Bomb Point. The last couple of trips have left me wondering how to get closer to the respective G Zs but tonight I spotted a walkway and a sign saying this way to Bomb Point, so that was that question answered. Although quite wet and slightly muddy underfoot I managed to avoid the rain for the first time in the last 4 or 5 days which was a nice change.
Lucky last for the night, the next failed to Bedazzle me and was a D N F . Nice and easy and a calm, peaceful place with noone around. Sometimes that's all good

Phew!! Made my across from Glyn's rabbit warrens to here, got onto the pathway for walkers and cyclists and soon came to the annoying realisation that I hadn't read the description properly. Cache is accessible only from the grass side of that fence! OK now what do I do? I finally found a hole in the fence, but it wasn't a pretty way of going about things. Far too much walking to do so.
The caches around Bomb point are some I have been looking forward to finding. My father was an Armourer in the RNZAF and stationed at Hobsonville, so he would have worked in this area. I was surprised to see all the changes here since the base has closed. My third find as I walked around Bomb point this evening. Nice views up the harbour to the city. TFTC Mapper Ted.
Nice hide very wet slushy ground, glad I Had the right footwear on ( Gumboots ) followed my foot steps halfway back to the car TFTC.
Completing the set started earlier in year, this time on right side of fence, slushy and wet, today but a nice walk none the less. Quick find. Tftc
After having a mussel fritter at the nearby markets, it was time to come and collect the two caches we missed out on last time as we had been caught on the wrong side of the fence, and did not have time then to backtrack. The track is certainly a lot wetter, and a few slippery parts, that caused the heart to miss a beat! Luckily no man down, and the cache was found. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Once on the right side of the fence, this one was quickly spotted by Mrs FriwiNZ. TFTC
First find, didn't bring a pencil though as it was a bit of a spur of the moment thing
Took ages to find then suddenly there it was, exactly where I had felt for it earlier.
Quite a few family groups out walking or cycling today but all were inside the wire. Nice spot.
Many thanks
Many thanks
Great walk around the point with good views of the city cache was an easy find than you.
You would think that by now we would occasionally manage to behave surreptitiously while geocaching, particularly while attempting to covertly locate a secret hiding spot on an ex-military base. But no, apparently the junior members of the family thought that the appropriate cover for this location was to loudly announce the approach of any suspected insurgents. Found the cache and uncomfortably waited for the bewildered cyclist to continue his journey before we signed, replaced, and retreated.
How embarrassing! Hint seemed to make sense- I was on right side of the fence- but just not clicking today. Ill probably head back with the kids and they'll find it quick as pie lol
Cleaning up a few of the missed caches in the area. Interesting location and a very different perspective of the CBD and across the bay to Glenfield,Bayview etc.... An easy find and log/contents very dry, surprising !! TFTC
Up here today with Nova Lightning to see if we can clean up a few caches to try to meet our own challenge that we set ourselves to achieve by the time the MEGA rolls around.
A quick walk along here and the cache was soon in hand,a nice way to spend the day especially as it has changed alot since I used to spend a bit of time over here when this was still an armoury depot

Had planned a 'big day' with Cats&Dragons and we were trying to collect 50+ caches today.
It was an early start to the day (5.00am) or for steve just a normal start to the day. We headed up to Auckland and started clearing out the area.
This was a nice easy find before heading off to the next one.
