Very good camp! Some nice muggles pointed me in the right direction, as they had seen many cachers find this one.TFTC
Lovely winter's day for a few caches in the area.Found this one pretty easily.TFTC
I was spending the afternoon caching with and_me. This was our penance and reward would be fish and chips at the end.Full honours go to and_me who quickly found the cache. TFTC.
I journeyed from Melbourne's CBD to this region for a power trail walk. The weather was pleasant in the morning, but it transitioned into a rainy day around noon. It was a rewarding geocaching excursion that allowed me to appreciate the natural surroundings and rural landscapes immensely.40th cache of today, Nice hide. TFTC
DAILY STREAK 500!! I got there. I started the daily streak challenge on the 1/1/23 with the goal of 500 and here I am 500 days later with it complete. I must say I am relieved and it hasnt been easy.Much like the retrieval of the log, found the cache pretty quickly but had to find a nearby tool to get it open, thank goodness for wire fences!Tftc and for helping complete my milestone.
Over this side of town for an event, and the chance to find my first tackle_head caches. This was #5 of 10.Unfortunately, it was Sunday so the shed was shut, otherwise I would have definitely said hi.Happily realising that the cache was still accessible, I quickly made the find.Aha! Ive done something similar with a hammer drill myself Nice work.TFTC
We found this cache today whilst Out and About around Altona. turning around a DNF from our last visit. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Find #500!!!! I Enjoying a weekend geocaching with muggle qsister after dropping muggle daughter off at diabetes camp in Warburton. Cache and logbook in good order. Tftc.
#34 000!On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 13/74, Saturday. It was a hot day today (at least on the Finnish standards), the temperature was 34 degrees. Well, we have had similar temperatures in Finland lately, only that they were on the minus side of the Celsius meter. Today I took a train to Altona and spent a lovely day there geocaching. I walked a lot and and found really nice geocaches. Another quality cache from this CO. This happened to by my find number #34 000 (after I get some challenge caches logged). Thank you for the cache, and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
Tonight was my third evening in as many weeks on the bike searching out the caches in this area. Originally planning to cut back through the park, the number of favorites this cache has accrued intrigued me. Initially looking in a couple of wrong spots, I discovered that the familiar hide type was almost right where I'd stopped my bike. All in good dry condition. TFTC tackle_head
I didn't find many rockers but a lot of swingers across the road,This was frustrating as gps had ne all over the place and even one stage wanted me inside 7mBut as about to give up amongst mozzies finally came to lightThanks for the cacheCache all good
Went to this big park area to get some more of these caches while I'm in Melbourne again. All were fairly easy and I had no DNFs. The caches were all quite similar with only a few different types. Tftc
Lot's of rockers here! Thanks tackle_head for such an ingenious placement.

A day off work and with SpursNorth in company, today was a perfect opportunity to add more smilies to the map around Altona Meadows and Laverton. There was the occasional drizzly shower which kept the muggles away but on the whole, it was a nice winter's day for caching. Overall, 22 finds with just 1 DNF which I consider a success.
A few nearby muggles gathering as we approached GZ but made a quick find when the coast was clear. Thanks tackle_head.

Out for the day with my brother,Ketchthor. A few showers hear and there which made it muggle free. Some very good spots we found threw out the day. TFTC everyone
In town for a day while the good wife heads out to Equestrian Centre to check out this week goings on. Brought the bike with me to come down and tackle the caches in and around the park. 27 finds and a few DNF's along the way, however it was fun all the way. The bike was great idea to ensure I got around the caches in the time I had, but it was a pain in some locations. Once on a roll, it was a matter of looking for the right thing, and all was good.
Thanks tackle_head...really enjoyed your caches here and the work that went into them. Fav points scattered around the series.

Almost gave up after searching everywhere but that last thing, GPS was kind of all over-the-shop, and GZ was very unexpected.
Looks like this men’s shed is very active working across a number of interesting disciplines- good on you!
A marvellous day of caching in Truganina Park and adjacent areas. Thank you tackle head for so many caches, The mosquitos had a feast! They were at the worst at this cache!!
Found but unfortunately couldn’t log the logbook as we couldn’t open the actual cache.
Great hide though

I remember passing this one quite some time ago and leaving it for a day in which a cache with more than 10 FPs would be advisable. Today was such a day. After examining a couple of trees I expanded my search area and took into account the COs style of hides. It wasn't too long after that before I spotted a candidate and made the find.
Like so many other people I had trouble locating since the gps was all over the place. I looked in every tree high and low. This one I wouldn’t recommend in the dark. Made it 10 times harder. Then I spotted something . Finally !
Gps lead me a JelenaGreenleaf a little astray, until she spotted this one. Tftc
Found with georocks101. This one had us going in circles, we kept assuming we knew where the hide would be. Once we expanded our search area we discovered the inconspicuous hide. Thanks tackle head
Out today attending the Altona Meadows International caching day event with some friends. Great event, picked up a few caches on our way out.

We missed the turn-off for this one, so there was a bit of mucking around to make the approach. We were so intrigued by the trees here, we almost didn't bother with the cache.
Almost...
Thanks heaps, Tackle Head!

TFTC, a quick find on the way back to our car from our walk around the park. Very lucky the rain held off
A full day of uninterrupted caching in Melbourne, WITH a car this time! The possibilities are overwhelming. I’ve decided to head to the Williamstown/Altona area for a bit of sea air, and cache on foot where I can. Thanks to all the COs for all the great caches I found today.
Quite an operation here: the men’s shed in the village I live in is just a shed!
Thanks for highlighting this worthy phenomenon tackle_head.

Out with au.fait, we had a lovely day walking and talking while caching in the Spotswood and Altona areas.
Men’s Sheds are a good for social activity and very important for mental health.
This cache was tricky. We looked at many things before discovering the sneaky hide. A favourite point, thanks tackle head.

It’s always a good day spent with echidna44, and add caching and it becomes excellent. This expedition ranged from Spotswood to Altona. A sneaky cache. Almost missed it TFTC tackle-head. Another FP
Though Peter had found this one before, he was no assistance to me today as we found some other weird contraptions nearby but no cache.
Quick find on our second attempt. Don’t know why we couldn’t find it last time. TFTC
Nice hide but we’ve seen it before so a quick find. Lovely day for a ride and thankful that the caches around here got us out this way. TFTC
Good one! The GPS pinpointed to the wrong spot, but we eventually found it. Good hint.
The 8th (and final cache) out of 13 caches we have planned to visit today. Unfortunately cut our adventure short after this one, but still a great day of 8/8 finds and no DNFS.
Found the cache but did not sign as an ant colony has decided this is a perfect place for their eggs and larvae, the cache itself is quite snug also. TFTC

#4317 A day out down south so we could take the geohounds to the dog beach at Altona for some fun. We also met up with Kokowon who we haven't seen since Christmas due to the lockdown. After lunch we then all tackled a bunch of caches in this Reserve on foot.
Mr BGF discovered this creative little hide as we continue our loop walk of the area. TFTC tackle_head.

Spiffy- and I planned a cache day Sunday but the target area was a little undecided. Mainly because rain was coming. Finally we settled on Altona and the large trad trail. So we loaded the stealth bikes in and headed off. Driving there rain was falling, but it was only 10am and it was due at 3pm. Parked at the skate park and still a few spots of rain but so warm so we headed off. A few caches in I went back to my for rain jackets which I wore for only a few minutes then carried. Ironically arrived home sunburnt.
All caches were eventually found and the CO effort on these was great. We appreciated the work and the effort to place them.
Thanks to tackle_head for the placement and fun.

Men’s sheds are such great ideas. I love the clever woodwork and items they make for the community. Thanks for the cache here.
Hi there tackle_head.
This is the 1st of 1 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here but we just couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us.

Ian and Penny
